My deluxe queen was exactly that, a queen bed. No dresser to unpack. Closet to small to accommodate my suitcase. I lived out of that suitcase all weak. Took staff 2 days to replace the non-working fridge, never used mini microwave. There was a reason the resort fee was so low, wi-fi never worked in the room, only in lobby. They had free earplugs on the counter at Check-in. Very noisy Kareoke bar directly below my room.

First room was a pit. Too small, head of one bed crammed against the bottom half of the other, tiny sink hanging off wall, etc. Was told that other rooms would be the same. Wrote comment to Orbitz, next day received email offering to change rooms. The improved room was comfortable, spacious, quite adequate, without views; what one would expect at a low end hotel in paradise. Desk staff were excellent, genuinely helpful, except for the initial turn-down when I requested room change. Usual Honolulu rip-off on "resort fee."

Close to the beach and that's the only good part about this hotel. Noisy, parking it limited, room is totally different than the picture. Very disappointed.

By looking at the picture ii though this hotel is nice but it was totally different. Room size is big but nothing special. Just bed, desk mini fridge and microwave, small tv. Worst hotel I ever stayed. And the bathroom .. omg!!! Extremely small shower and sink. Barely fits one person. I paid extra to get a upgrade but just wasted my money.... I would not recommend this hotel. Even this hotel is close to the beach.....

We had a great time. Traveled with a friend and surfed every day. You can rent boards right next to the hotel or on the beach. The hotel staff is super nice and help you with everything. They printed me out and explained me the way to the manoa falls. Didn't had any problems.

Can't wait to come back great location to every thing and will stay there for sure again.

More like a hostel than a hotel. No parking, not kid friendly. No screens on my window that was right above my bed, the bathroom door didn't close. Maybe this is normal for Hawaii but I didn't expect this. I still stayed. Wasn't terrible for the price.

This is directed more at the Stay Condominiums than the Stay Hotel. The condominiums were dirty, outdated, noisy because of permanent residents meeting outside their room. The only real problem with the hotel was the lounge/bar in the lobby, they should tell patrons it is a gay bar and not let them find out on their own after sitting down and ordering.

Hotel is modern and clean. Staff is helpful. It is close to beach, restaurants, and shopping.

I was unaware that the bar in the hotel was a gay bar. It would of been nice to know of that before reserving a room. Instead I was place In an unexpected/uncomfortable situation. This is why I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff were pretty great about responding to our needs. My only complaint is the lack of parking and the tightness of their parking facilities. I was driving a large sports car and it was like steering the Titanic in their underground parking. Outside of that it was a decent place to stay.

Location, friendly staff, and a clean room were nice. The room itself though felt like I lived in a hot humid closet.

Horrible parking experience, bad room experience with construction and ac issues, someone else entering upon our room

Staff were very friendly and the room was better than I expected for the price.

The only thing good about this place is how close it is to the beach and the bar inside. The rooms are the least comfortable I have ever been in and the bathrooms were horrible.

Too noisy and did not get any sleep. No parking available and no other available rooms for our stay. It was the worst place I have ever staid in. Woul not go back again. The windows were broken or not installed to keep noise out. The door was hard to close and no desk in room. Bathroom too samall and no counter to set items on.

I paid a lot for my stay at Stay Hotel and I couldn't even get a room with a proper window to see the views of Waikiki. My windows were made from some material that blurred the views of the outside. On top of that, the shower was incredibly cramped and nasty that even after swimming at the beach I dreaded having to shower after that. I also had a moment where I had to speak to one of the maids to have them re-change my sheets just after she changed them because there appeared to be blood stains on them. Otherwise, the staff was INCREDIBLY courteous and accommodating, which made my stay at the hotel worthwhile. I would suggest to the hotel though to be upfront about the hotel rooms they have and not just show the rooms that have proper window views and balconies. I would not have even paid to stay at the hotel had I known I would be staying in this kind of room; however, I tried to make the most of my situation.

Stay Waikiki was an excellent choice! This hotel could not have been located in a better spot. The staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean. I would stay here again.

Uncooperative staff made it hard to stay and accusations of drug use were given by the manger and owner in which wasn't the case they smelt burning cotton from my buddy changing out his coils on his vape thus charging me 400 for room damage so overall the staff sucked there was no balcony and I paid 1000 dollars for a horrible one bedroom for 3 days, do not stay here !

Overall a good experience. It's a decent price for the location and friendly staff. The rooms are basic but clean. It gets pretty humid in the room quickly but the ac helps. They provide coffee every morning in the lobby area and lend beach mats, boogie mats, wifi, and beach towels. There were a lot of noise from construction nearby the whole time so bring ear plugs as there seems to be construction inn various places.

Aloha James, Happy New Year! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I understand from our Front Desk notes that your mini-fridge was plugged into an inoperable outlet and was itself functioning properly. In any case, I apologize for the inconvenience that so obviously colored what I believe would've been a much better experience for you. I do hope that you give us another chance to make a better impression on you in the future. Mahalo nui loa, Carolyn Ncube General Manager Stay Hotel Waikiki

Aloha Nick, Thank you for taking the time to share the feedback you directed to both me and our team here on Orbitz as well. I appreciate your fairness in presenting the overall picture of your stay from being initially disappointed with your room option to being satisfied that we were able to accommodate you in a room that was much more to your liking. To hear that you received the high level of customer service that our valued guests consistently celebrate reinforces the notion that while we are a three star, budget-friendly hotel, we have five star service. Far from being an all-inclusive resort, our daily amenity fee of just $10.47 is considerably nominal compared to that of similar-sized and rated properties in Waikiki especially since it covers a range of amenities such as free and fresh Hawaiian coffee and tea in our lobby, regular and decaf coffee options in our rooms, filtered water-filling station, free newspaper deliveries, DirecTV with access to hundreds of premium channels, use of our wide assortment of recreational beach equipment and beach towels, use of our laundry facilities including detergent and dryer sheets that we provide, use of our business center with touch-screen computer monitors and a color printer that makes free copies, and high-speed WiFi in our rooms. I hope that we have the pleasure of hosting you on your next trip to Waikiki. We are a great choice for budget-conscious travelers who wish to spend their time and money exploring the beauty of our islands. Happy and safe travels to you and yours! Aloha Aloha.Luv, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I am sorry that you were underwhelmed by your room even though we do provide what many hotels of our size do not in the way of both mini-fridges and microwaves in each and every room. Our T.V. has a standard 32" screen, and we offer free DirecTV channels with hundreds of options. Some of our rooms, particularly our smaller options, do have more compact bathrooms, which appeal to some guests while not to others. I am sorry that this wasn't a high point feature for you. Aloha! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you found some inconveniences in your room, which I hope that you relayed to our Front Desk while you were in-house so that our warm and hospitable team members had a chance to help make your stay a more pleasant one. Please make no mistake...we are a hotel albeit a modestly-sized one that has an amazing central location just one street over from world-famous Waikiki Beach. The hostel you're speaking of is actually our neighbor to the left. Thank you again for feedback. Happy and safe travels to you and yours! Aloha Jim, Thank you for taking the time to review your condo stay although this is the page for our main hotel. We don't have permanent residents living at our condos, so if you experienced some "unneighborly" guests hanging outside of your room, I apologize on their behalf. Regarding Wang Chung's, which is arguably the most popular karaoke bar in Waikiki, its patrons, like Hawai'i as a whole, enjoy and embrace diversity. Many of our valued guests enjoy such close proximity to fun, good energy, and the opportunity to meet great friends from the islands and all over the world. Since we are centrally-located, there are many venues where you can enjoy Waikiki's nightlife. I hope that you had the opportunity to do so.
