Just the worst place I stay ! Picture is that the exact not place !

There was a problem with bathroom light switch. There was an emergency water repair outage that took longer than their expected time frame

The Polynesian Plaza was a great affordable hotel right in the heart of Waikiki. Just a 10-minute walk from the famous crystal clear water. This hotel is a must for anyone who is looking to save money but not sacrifice comfort. Beach, shops, activities, and entertainment are all within walking distance.

Average hotel and amenities for minimalist/low maintenance travelers. Wear and tear here and there, but overall, not too bad. Flew in late at night, so I really appreciated that the staff stayed up late, was aware I was their last guest to check-in, and made herself available to ensure I was settled in. Kudos to the staff.

Only one thing is good about this hotel, that its at the great location. It was difficult to find it in the first place. No disent sign and very easy to miss. Stuff is some what helpful, but mostly they will try to give you quick anseres for you to go away fast. air conditioner berely worked. there is no ventelation inthe bathroom and toilet was getting cloged all the time. They even left a plunger next to the toilet. Carpets in the rooms not worth it to clean. IT was so worne out and need to be repleced.. However the funniest thing, that this hotel right across from Gucci, Hugo Boss and Prada stores. I had great time spending money there, but I stroggle in my hotel room. But that just me.

been there before, nice hotel for the money, looks like they where remodeling new bed and furnature was being delivered. staff was very nice.

This place needs to be shut down. I got in at 1 am after driving back and forth across Waikiki multiple times to even find the place. I was told that parking was "sold out" and could either find street parking or park in the bank lot down the street. Elevator was nasty and ancient. Carpet in hallway is literally taped to hold it together. Room is just plain gross. Travel weary as I am, you couldn't pay me to shower in this shower, with a huge rust stain under the faucet and very questionable floor, not to mention it was dripping all night. Door to balcony literally doesn't close and is "secured" by a door chain that was unhooked when I arrived. Air conditioning is a small residential window air conditioner that chills air about 3 feet around it. Barely. Do not stay here. Ever. True what another reviewer said, this is more of a hostel than a hotel. And I'm a pretty non picky budget traveler used to Comfort Inns.

Perf hotel ect pl is ace love tied hotel forever I would always stay here no matter what This hotel I'd oerfevt

Polynesian Plaza is at just perfect location if you want to be close to all Honolulu hot spots. A lot of restaurants and stores around. Walking distance to beaches and few important bus stops if that's your way of getting around. However, rooms are a bit old so there might be some stains in the bathroom walls or tapbin the bathroom isn't really shiny. When I stayed there, they were renovating though, so all of those problems might me gone really soon. Big kudos to the staff! Both receptionist and cleaning staff. Made staying there really pleasant for me and my wife.

There was a sign that said they were renovating, however the only renovating seen was the sign. Dirty carpets throughout, Dingy and run downed room and bath. Some staff was friendly but not able to answer questions. Air conditioning hardly worked and was full of mold. Vertical blinds wouldn't slide open or closed so had to work around them to get to the patio. Patio door was heavy and I could only get one side to open. If you are staying here to save money and you haven't been GUARANTEED a parking pass, you will spend your savings in parking. It is close to the beach and is located in the middle of Waikiki shopping and is actually located above a shopping mall.

Good location for bus riding. Friendly staff. But no phone in rooms, curtains thin and old, drawers stuck on the dresser, mildew in the bathroom, and the carpeting needs professional cleaning BIG TIME!
