Pacific Beach Hotel is currently under going extensive renovation. Oceanarium--closed indefinitely =( Renovated room---Excellent and the bed was super comfortable Pool--closed (however another hotel pool was available) Free Breakfast--with our reservation we had FREE breakfast daily (please note it ends at 10 am) We slept in and missed the first free breakfast. The buffet was SUPERB and they offer a take out box...BONUS POINTS Location--excellent Pricing---above average due to the fact that they provide FREE breakfast

We caught this in mid renovation. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed 10 nights in a premium oceanfront room. We stayed on the 7th floor and can see the ocean from our bed. You can hear construction noise from the renovation during the day but they don't start early morning so it didn't bother us. We heard it when we came back to the room in the afternoon. It's located across the street from Kuhio beach park. Hotel provides complimentary beach chairs. We were able to find shade under trees and spend an afternoon on the beach. There's a seawall so it's safer for the kids. The room is nicely renovated with a bidet in the bathroom. 2 queen beds is spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. ABC store and McDonalds next to hotel is convenient. Short walk to shops and restaurants. 2 short block walk to bus stop takes about 5 minutes from hotel lobby. There's no pool at the hotel now so you have to use the pool at another hotel but we were there for the beach not the pool anyway. Coin laundry facility is also not available but there's a laundromat nearby. We didn't do laundry while we were there anyway. It was a positive experience. We will consider a return to the hotel when we come back next time.

great time, across the street from the beach, cold see the beach from the balcony, new remodeled room is very nice.

The hotel is in the middle of renovations so a bit noisy during the day. The rooms are updated and extremely comfortable.

Love the hotel so much. Except for the noise from construction, everything was awesome!

The hotel is presently being complete renovated. The lobby is a few feet wide by a few feet long. The huge fish tank is gone. The noise of the construction is terrible. I would think twice about staying there at the present time. Although when construction is completed I believe it will be the same old wonderful Pacific Beach Hotel a few feet from the beach.

The room was nice clean , the air conditioning was almost to cold at times even with construction going on outside with the balcony door closed it was quiet, staff is friendly , The only thing I can complain about really is the elevators are so slow but they where being worked on ...

Overall good place to stay, however extremely long waits for the elevator.

Location was everything! The room was also very clean and comfortable. The elevators are pretty slow and some construction noise but nothing to cry over. Hotel staff was friendly. One front desk staff did overcharge my credit card and had to go back and forth a couple of times to get it resolved. Overall great experience and will definitely stay again.

We had a Ocean view and had a very nice room and even though they were under construction it didn't seem to interfere with our trip or stay. We did wish they would of had a directory phone book in the rooms. It was a wonderful trip and the tour packages were very nice. Mahalo to all the Hawaiian people that were so friendly and To Chief for a wonderful Luau even in the rain. Wonderful memories forever.

Overall, it's a nice hotel near the beach, The room is clean and comfort. You can choose to either do self parking or Valet Parking which is each day. - It does not include breakfast, which is fine. A lot of restaurant where you can have brunch or take a walk with food in the morning along waikiki beach. Overall, it's a nice hotel near the beach, The room is clean and comfort. The hotel is under construction, but staff is friendly and accomodating. Quarter block from the beach and our room had a view to paradise.

The hotel was undergoing major renovation in most of the public areas. It got quite noisy as you can imagine. Initially we were on the 8th floor but it was extremely noisy due to the construction that was going on a couple floors down. we brought it to the Mgmt' attention. They accommodated us By moving us to the 30th floor hoping the noise level would be better. It was much better with a spectacular view of the beach. Clean room & friendly staff but the renovation was a little inconvenient with public areas blocked off etc.

The hotel was nice as could be but under construction and made it difficult to get to rooms especially since we had to go a round about way on the outside of the building. My friend that went with me had to use a cane and it made it worse for her. But the people were very very nice and if I go again I will stay there but hope there is no more construction. We had to go a long block to use the Hilton pool and jacuzzi because their's was under construction also. It would be nice if they included a complimentary breakfast also. The pounding around was not desirable either. BUT the staff and others were nice and friendly and helpful if we had questions.....

Staff dessapears from rooms and menanger don't do anything to compensate or find the dessapering items.

convenient, close to food, shopping beach, nice size room.very friendly, helpful personel

The staff were very nice. There is construction going on but it never bothered us.

Happy to stay there. Room very good. Willing to recommend friends and family.

Nice hotel and service, excellent location, enjoyed staying there.
