Hilton Waikiki Beach

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

My family and I picked this hotel based on it's reviews and it's relative closeness to everything Waikiki has to offer. When we first checked in the staff was courteous and professional. On Wednesday (5/24, around 2pm), my family and I called concierge to find some things to do on our off day, the woman on the phone told me that she would call us back soon and took down our room number. 20 minutes went by, no returned call so I called them back and when she answered the phone, she was laughing and coughing and barely could speak. When I told her that I was waiting for a call back she basically said 'oh, my bad'. Frustrated, we decided to go down and talk to them in person. There were two woman there and both were almost no help. When I found a Magic show, I asked one of the women to show us some pictures and she snapped back "I don't have anything you can't find on that", pointing at my phone. This woman alone made my whole family uncomfortable and made us feel stupid for asking questions. This was our first time in Hawaii. When I spoke to a manager later that day, I got some blank stares and the normal "I'm sorry this happened to you, but there's not much we can do" speech. The cleaning staff was extremely friendly and left us extra towels and other toiletry products. My only complaint was how dusty the room was and how dirty the floors were. My feet were black and the room was FILLED with dust. If you're a family of 4 staying in the 2double bed room, it'll be tight.

We did not have too many problems. Shower door needed repair. It did not close completely.

Valet parking is a nightmare if you need to go in and out since you need to valet it all the time. The problem is valet but how long it takes from valeting to you leaving the hotel. The beds were uncomfortable. I stayed for 5 nights and didn't sleep well at all.

This is a beautiful hotel. The staff was cordial, attentive, professional and very Eager to please. They made our stay very enjoyable.

Enjoyed every thing, the people were all very good and helpful.

The hotel fit all our expectations. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, good restaurant within, block from the beach. If I had to pick a con it would be the parking. The valet parking is easy and convenient but the hotel charges $30/day for using the ramp. Just adds to the trip cost, but in Honolulu, parking is scarce so you get what you can.

The great thing about this hotel it is close to everything you need in Waikiki Beach, the malls, beach, food and sight seeing. Everything is pretty much walking distance! The downside about the hotel is that it's VALET ONLY and costs $30 a day gratuity not included. The staff was amazing, they let us check in early since we arrived early! They upgraded our room the next day for a better ocean view. The valet is awesome they are fast with their car service.

Staff was helpful Good location Great fish tacos & breakfast selections

hotel was nice room was clean and nice staff were nice the only thing i didnt like was parking was $30 night valet only

Experience was welcoming and hotel staff was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate me.

overall its ok, close to dining and beach, friendly staff

The hotel was a little out dated but close to everything (beach, restaurants, transportation).

Overall we had a great time during our recent 5 night stay. I was disappointed that we were not offered an upgrade or placed on higher floor although I am a Hilton Honors member and presented my card. I was told I didn't qualified for upgrade since I book with Orbitz and not directly with Hilton. We were on 6th floor facing main street with partial ocean view and the room was really noisy ay night. It's best to stay on higher floor, the hotel has 37 floors. The hotel was decorated really festive for the holidays and the MAC 24/7 staff were very friendly. It was very busy on Christmas and the Day after Christmas and the restaurant appeared to be short of staff so service was really slow and the wait times were long. They should have anticipated holiday crowds.

Great location. On-site restaurant was excellent. Staff was awesome and even surprised me with treats on my birthday.

two blocks away from beach and relatively close to it. but among three nights, the last day is terrible since no one made my room even after my request afternoon that day. She said that she forgot my request so didn't make my room. and also there is only one restaurant in the hilton so i went to the marriot and hyatt hotels for dinner.

We stayed for only one night and left with a remarkable impression. We have a relative who lives on the Island and we were coming over for a surprise Birthday party. Because check out is 12:00 pm we needed a place to get ready for the event at 5:30 pm. Kealoni suggest a few things that we could do in the area and offered a hospitality room for us to return to in order to freshen up for the party. The localation is close to beach and shopping and the breakfast at their restaurant is outstanding!

The staff was very helpful, the room was pleasant. Everything we needed and wanted was easily accessible. Small point: it would be nice to have a simple coffee maker in the room and to have internet service available free for everyone.

Over all I was really satisfied on the hotel, having the Mac24 downstairs came in handy.

Rooms are nicely done and great views are all around.

I am sorry about the sleep. We do have bed boards if you find the beds to be to soft. I fully understand we all have our preferences.

Actually we are the lowest parking rate in the area. I am sorry. I was just in San Francisco and paid $55 a night. Crazy compared to our $30.
