DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Alana - Waikiki Beach

Was told we had 2 balconies a lanai and regular balcony by Doubletree reservations, and that is what the 3D picture of the suite showed and it showed a much better bathroom. Was told the lanai or 2 balconies only came with the penthouse suite. But I chose the room based on the photos of the 2 bed suite W/ partial ocean view and lanai. I wouldn't have known about 2 desperate balconies had I not been told that's what I had

Not enough towels, no exhaust in bathroom, AC wasn't functioning properly so room was hot. It's not worth the money.

Nice, clean hotel! Claire at the front desk and everyone at the valet went above and beyond during Tropical Storm Darby. The on-site restaurant, Trees, had great food but the service was extremely disappointing

I did expect a lot nicer room than we had for the money, however the hotel did find a missing earring that my wife had left on the tv stand that got swept off during cleaning and the hotel found it in a vacuum bag! Outstanding! But then my daughters shirt disappeared and I still haven't heard or received compensation for that, so....? There was a safe in the room and the main bed was comy, but the sofa bad was horrible, the hotel did provide as many pillows and blankets as we needed at no xtra charge. Close to beach and excellent burger joint on corner. For the money you could better.

Excellent hotel and location!! Loved it! Would book again!

If you don't need to be on the beach in Honolulu, this is a good place to stay for the price. 10 minute walk to just about anything on Waikiki, friendly staff, helpful concierge that can find deals on tours. Would stay there again.

We booked our hotel itinerary wrong and so we needed a hotel for one single day(our last day stay). I found this to be the cheapest and so booked it. * Good location but not too close to the beach. * Staff was friendly * Room had roach eggs and I felt disgusted because of that. Since we were staying for a night we did not bother to complain. * Better amenities can be provided. * Car parking is 30$ per day!

Reservation room not available, so we were upgraded to PH on 19 th floor. Great view from the balcony, two glimpses of the ocean. Dining expensive, but 4 choices within a couple of blocks.

Loved the hotel and everything it had to offer however, the housekeeping was something to be desired.

The hotel is nice. Room was spacious/ the bed was comfortable. I did not care for the lighting in the bathroom and the window with the muted glass that opens to the bed. If anyone gets up in the middle of the night, turns on the bathroom light.. it lights up the whole room. The breakfast and breakfast buffet is a joke. $15. for a continental and $25 for a buffet.. Bad food! Airport food is better. On the corner is an awesome cheese burger joint. Great Breakfast/lunch- food and awesome bloddy marys for $5

I visit Hawaii often, as my family still lives there. This is the best place I have stayed in that is located in Waikiki, it's close enough to the heart of Waikiki that you can get anywhere with a short walk, without the overwhelming crowds that can be found in the heart of Waikiki. There are a lot of places to eat, drink, and shop. The employees are helpful and friendly. The only complaint that is that the valet parking is priced pretty high, but seems to be comparable with everywhere else. Overall a great place to stay!!!

Spent several nights here after booking through Orbitz. Was never informed it was a "pet friendly" hotel. That means that they are friendly to pets, not paying guests. The first rude awakening was when I learned at check in that I'd be paying $30 per night for the privilege of parking my car here. I expressed my disappointment, to which they replied coldly, "you don't like it, you can find your own parking elsewhere". Wow! After all that flying, I didn't feel like finding a separate place for my car. I just wanted to get a good night's sleep. Well, that didn't happen, because of the dog they allowed to stay in the room directly across from me, who barked all night long. Despite complaints to the front desk, they finally revealed that they were pet friendly. In other words, they did not want to upset the dog, just me. I wouldn't let my dog stay at this flea trap, so no recommendations from me. This hotel sucks!

Very easy check in. They took our car at the frond door and delivered all the luggage as we arrived in our room. Front desk was very friendly. Room with two very comfortable queen beds was well appointed a nicely equiped bath. This hotel was recently remodled and it has that nice crisp feel about it. Good location a quick two blocks from the beach. Restaurants close by. Nice pool. Overall a good place to stay a couple of days and check out Honolulu before a cruise

The Doubletree was close to the wedding we were in Honolulu to attend. Within short walking distances to the local bus and trolly lines, restaurants and a few shops. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. The hotel is clean and well kept. The rooms are above average since they are recently renovated. The daily warm chocolate chip walnut cookies are wonderful. This location is quiet compared to the main Waikiki area.

The hotel was very nice and in a great location! The staff there really showed the "aloha spirit" and made our stay there comfortable! Only wish the parking was free--$27 to park overnight was pretty steep.

The staff was great, The room was great "we stayed in one of the new rooms" The construction is rather noisey at times. Starting at 8am lasting until 4pm. I believe the construction should be done in January. The pool is nice, If the hotel has empty rooms and you have a late flight you can ask for a courtesy room, we used this room to shower and change after spending the day at the beach before our flight. This property is at the quite end of Waikiki and is a bit of a walk to the busier areas. Chocolate cookies at checkin were nice.

Visiting with friends from midwest, this is a very nice clean ,safe hotel. All staff are really personable and helpful, workout room adequate.Would stay there again. Judith C Reyes

Very clean, very nice staff. Parking was extremely expensive so we wound up parking elsewhere. Hotel needs a renovation and it is scheduled to start in 1 week.

The hotel has a great location and very friendly staff. There are lots of restaurants nearby and we did not have any problems getting anywhere (whether it was driving or walking)

Doubletree's cookies are awesome.
