Location was convenient for us to get to all of the places we wanted to around the city. Rooms were reasonably sized and included a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Hotel is a bit older so don't expect brand new top of the line. Pool was nice with a larger deck for lounging on. There is an $18/night resort fee for things like renting movies and video games, as well as pool towels. We didn't rent movies, games or pool towels so that seemed like a waste for us. Otherwise was a nice stay.
If I can't say something positive about my total stay, then I shall abstain. I definitely had better for less money in Europe.
The only drawback I'll say was the hidden large hospitality fees that accrued daily (basically them smiling at you cost almost $20..smh) on top of the usual expenses (regular Sales Tax, parking fees etc). But overall, I liked my stay at Aqua Palms. The ocean view was amazing. I highly recommends it!
It's nothing fancy but very nice and right downtown! Highly recommend staying there!
i asked for food recommendations and the guy serving me at the front desk was not very informative.. he just told me to walk around and see what you like.. i asked about specific food and that what he tells me.. i was annoyed. he seemed in a hurry to be rid of me..
I like the location the best because it was within minutes to the beach, easy to catch public transportation to many points of interest. I felt safe to walk at night. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly & helpful to their hotel guests. The hotel was a bit old and not modern. Nonetheless, it was clean and price was reasonable.
Last minute booking. Friendly, helpful staff. 20 minutes from airport, 5 minutes from beach.
room is small, smell in the bathtub, specially shower curtain. toilet , sink are clogged Swimming pool is under construction. Mattress is uncomfortable, and hurt my back.
Wonderful and amazing experience. I stayed there for 6 nights and the hotel was awesom
If you want a hotel don't choose this one because the pool is under renovation. There's a promise that the pool is going to be finished soon but it is not close to getting done. Your kids will not enjoy a hotel without pool. The hotel staff could not see my reservation for an hour.
Room conditions poor example: carpet/rugs dirty Microwave high above sink difficult to use for customers who are short. Coffee makers in rooms are small. Long waits to be checked in rooms. Excellent infrmation booth located at the front lobby. If I had to visit Hawaii again I probably will not use your hotel or will my family who also stayed in your hotel due to the same issues.
Unfortunately the pool area was under construction. Besides that the hotel staff very helpful and friendly. The free shuttle bus is a nice service. Nice also that the hotel had beach towels to use, as we only were on a stop over and did not have our own.
My friends and I had a very nice stay at Aqua palms hotel. We had a fantastic view and the staff were pleasant. The location of the hotel is great and the rate was reasonable. The hotel is walking distance to the beach, restaurant, shopping center, and bars. The room had comfortable beds, coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. The only thing we worried about was parking. They had 200 rooms and only 100 parking spaces. If you are unable to find any parking spaces for your vehicle , you would have to find another way. Other than the parking spaces issue, we strongly recommend aqua palms.
This is a great hotel for the price. It is an older hotel, but everything works. It is a close walk to Ala Moana mall and nice beaches a short walk away. Walk up the Lewers Street. That is where the shopping and good restaurants begin.
Great location, especially if you are staying on a Friday. Walking distance to the fire works and the heart of Waikiki. The only dissapointing thing was the pool was closed and we weren't told that at check in or while booking the hotel
Room was nice, King bed and Queen sofabed easily fit in the room. The bathroom is a little small but not too bad. The location is good, on the edge of Waikiki so you don't have to deal with all the traffic on the strip. Parking garage is tight and parking is an additional $25/day. I didn't use it but they have a shuttle to Ala Moana shopping center if you want to use it.
Very nice and clean hotel. The room is very cozy and it makes you feel at home. The staff are very friendly and responds quick to your needs. It's located on the corner of Ala Moana and Kalakua and at the beginning of the Waikiki strip. So, its a 15 minute walk to go to the center of the strip.
Very nice room, great bed and manager reception! only issue was the work out room, old equipment.
It was an OK place to crash for the night ..locations OK .its has the basic amenities but nothing fancy
Location for hotel is good. Room was definitely too small for a family of 4. Outside of hotel looks modern but the inside is outdated. Did not appreciate additional charges of $15/day for using coffee in room and $25/day for parking. Overall experience is poor. Not recommended.
