Location still operating while under construction. I’m sure it’ll be nicer and more peaceful/quiet once complete. Theres a hotel resort fee $30/day that wasn’t mentioned when we were booking so we were a bit suprised once we got there. They give you a parking pass if you choose to park in their garage $30/day general and approx $45/day valet. The staff will tell you construction is from 8a-5p but workers will start at 6am and go as late as 7pm when we were there. Rooms were clean. Our WiFi didn’t work they had to give give us a “VIP Code” but only after we proved several failed attempts to their WiFi support team. Once on their WiFi it is decent the service will come on go while in the room. For those booking with an ocean view the hotel will only count that as a partial ocean view so if you can see a piece of the ocean the charge per day is more. We expected a full ocean view with the upgrade choice we made but it was more buildings and a piece of ocean. The walk to a small beach is very quick. Breakfast buffet is $35/person it’s cheaper to eat anywhere but in the hotel. My understanding is the price is discounted because of the construction so if you can deal with the noises it’s a decent place to stay that’s close to the beach and many shops.

This is a nice hotel that is very close to the beach (but not on the beach). Also, they were going thru a renovation which was a slight discomfort. Otherwise, this hotel is well worth the stay.

We had a great stay. Close to everything. Hotel will be beautiful when fully renovated. Staff very accommodating.

New remodeled hotel. Nice location. Got upgraded to an ocean view room. So happy and appreciated.

Small rooms, no gym, no health club, kids pool is disappointing, the hotel did not live up at all to the #alohachic theme it is advertising. we are not likely going back. Other hotels around looked mich more enjoyable with much better ambiance

Clean, comfortable, up dated, room with a view, Room was on the 21st floor view to the ocean was just wonderful, being that high up we got the early morning breeze which was very nice and Crisp. Being that the hotel is being renovated we were so fortunate to have stayed in this spectacular hotel for a very reasonable price. Thank to all the wonderful professionally pleasant staff we encountered while we were there

The hotel remodel is nearly complete and its beautiful. I was in room 1966, a corner room with a gorgeous view of Diamond Head, but the Ocean View was more obstructed than I expected, as I paid for a room with an ocean view. I'm curious what the "partial ocean view" rooms would have given the price difference. Nonetheless, being a corner room, it was very quiet, and beautiful views nonetheless. My booking on Orbitz included the breakfast buffet (normal cost $35) with food options changing daily. The food service staff were particlarly attentive and friendly. I was disappointed the gym was closed for remodel, but I got plenty of exercise on foot and in the water. The location was great. The beach was right across the street, and the parks and zoo just 5 blocks away. Likewise, their were plenty of restaurants and shopping 5 blocks the other direction. One consideration, the hotel has two buildings. The beach tower has the bulk of the rooms, and is set back from the beach. As for noise, my floor was completely remodeled so there wasn't any construcyion. I highly recommend this hotel

Had a nice corner room, quite, great views of mountains, beach and city-scape.

We really enjoyed place we only slept and shower most time we were out. Place was quiet clean and convenient

Making a lot of upgrades to the hotel. Is centrally located making it easy to walk to most places in Waikiki. The resort fee is a bit much. Was like over $30 per day and actually didn't use any of it. That's on top of the fee already paid to reserve the room. Will probably look for another hotel the next time in Hawaii because of this.

Book this hotel last minute for one night. I was hesitate due to the rating, but surprisingly the hotel is very modern, clean and the staff was very friendly. It's currently under renovation, so the entrance is the hotel is blocked off, but once u pulled around to the front, the hotel is super nice. A minute walk to the Waikiki beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants near by.

Hotel and the view were great. Could not have asked for better.

So after reading reviews about the renovations I was a little skeptical about staying but I always give places a chance. I went ahead and booked the ocean front and it was amazing. I'm guessing if you book on a third party website you get the lower view (but that's besides the point). The bathroom was small but nice and clean, the bed was super comfy. The whole stay was just great!! I stayed 4 nights

Good location all shops ,restaurants and beach in walking distance.

Nice, everybody friendly , perfect location, nice and clean rooms but they charge $62.00 every a other day for resort and they don't have a pool available

No pool, no jacuzzi, no sundry store.. not even a vending machine for a soda. Even hard pressed to find a trash can in the lobby. TV service was out more than it was on, the Wi-Fi service was constantly failing. When trying to use the room phone to call the desk as to why no TV and no Wi-Fi.. you guessed it, no phone service either. Actually had to go to the service desk and ask exactly what my resort fees were for? Not to mention the bar closes at 11:00 pm.. All I can say is the shower in my room had a lot of sand due to the fact they do not provide any rinse off station for beach goers. Not my first time in Waikiki, but definitely my last time ever staying there. Would not recommend to anyone! I must say they were never forthcoming of any of this.

This was a nice hotel, the rooms were spacious, l but there are no tv's in the bar, people like to watch sports while drinking. We like to watch fox news in the morning and this hotel does not carry this channel, Why!!!

Pacific Beach Hotel is currently under going extensive renovation. Oceanarium--closed indefinitely =( Renovated room---Excellent and the bed was super comfortable Pool--closed (however another hotel pool was available) Free Breakfast--with our reservation we had FREE breakfast daily (please note it ends at 10 am) We slept in and missed the first free breakfast. The buffet was SUPERB and they offer a take out box...BONUS POINTS Location--excellent Pricing---above average due to the fact that they provide FREE breakfast

We caught this in mid renovation. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed 10 nights in a premium oceanfront room. We stayed on the 7th floor and can see the ocean from our bed. You can hear construction noise from the renovation during the day but they don't start early morning so it didn't bother us. We heard it when we came back to the room in the afternoon. It's located across the street from Kuhio beach park. Hotel provides complimentary beach chairs. We were able to find shade under trees and spend an afternoon on the beach. There's a seawall so it's safer for the kids. The room is nicely renovated with a bidet in the bathroom. 2 queen beds is spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. ABC store and McDonalds next to hotel is convenient. Short walk to shops and restaurants. 2 short block walk to bus stop takes about 5 minutes from hotel lobby. There's no pool at the hotel now so you have to use the pool at another hotel but we were there for the beach not the pool anyway. Coin laundry facility is also not available but there's a laundromat nearby. We didn't do laundry while we were there anyway. It was a positive experience. We will consider a return to the hotel when we come back next time.
