The hotel is very well located for the city centre, the castle and public transport. Reception staff were all very helpful and obliging. The room we stayed in was basic but spotlessly clean and not noisy at all. The restaurant was a bit disappointing there was no atmosphere and the food was very unappatisingly displayed which didn't really make me want to eat it. However my choices were ok although on both nights I had to ask for it to be reheated in the microwave and the hotplate did not kep it warm at all. Breakfast was good if you like cooked breakfast. I had cereal and toast which was sufficient for me. On our first evening we went into the bar and there were two bar staff on. They were both amazing especially Leon who really made my night. He was friendly and interacted with the guests and the entertainment who incidentally was fantastic I didn't get his name but boy could he sing. We had a very enjoyable evening. The second night we were there Leon was on his day off and there was no entertainment which was a shame. Overall I must say that the staff in both the restaurant and the bar were very very nice and helpful. This is a three star hotel and lives up to its stars, I would stay here again for a couple of nights dut to its locations and the fabulous staff..
Room was horrendous! The room smelt stale, there were stains all over the carpet, one window was sealed closed with duct tape whilst the second window had to be wedged open with a box of tissues because it would not stay open! There was also a half used roll of toilet paper underneath the bed when we arrived! The room was so filthy, we kept our shoes on at all times! Even when my partner used the bathroom during the night he put his shoes on back on as soon as he left the bed! We have filed a complaint with the hotel but they haven't even acknowledged us with a response! Extremely disappointing...DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Lovely hotel came away with mum on coach trip for few days stayed here & was lovely. Local to shops & bars. Food was nice. Would defo stop again. Had good deal on with drinks at bar to. Overall really good hotel very clean
This is possibly the worst hotel to stay in.The springs on the mattress sticking through.Dried vomit on the carpet in the corridor.Numerous stains on the room carpet. Cracked sink. This was after we had to change rooms due to the window stuck open. After a formal complaint to the manager of the hotel a £6 refund was offered. There are many nice hotels in Nottingham at a similar price. My advice is to avoid this Hotel.
Checked in double room £90 was given room want fit for tramp to live in bed base didn't connect together sticky tops where tv was burns on the carpet could do with a good clean well wasn't worth charging us £90 for the room they gave us at all best part of the hotel was the staff was really friendly and our room definitely didn't look like rooms in there photos
Very basic rooms, clean white bed linen (although thin duvet ) and clean bathroom with toiletries. No heating , even bathroom towel rail was cold despite warning notice 'caution this may get very hot ' ... not! Great to have kettle, tea and milk pods. And TV worked too! All in all it was good value for the price we paid (£45)
Cannot fault this hotel clean friendly helpful staff, food in resturant is reasonable priced and all you can eat breakfast at 7.00 is great value, our room was very clean big mirrors tv air dryers, it was very quiet and secure, its 18 pounds parking but the hotel give you money back so it cost 14, would recommend has its 24 hour security , you can have a 3 course meal at 12.05 with glass of wine again good price, could not fault it only regret our stay not long enough ..
would never come to this place again fithy dirty place needs a good clean in rooms hair still in plug holes dusty needs decorating urine on seat dryed up totally a disgrace never again will i be going there
Friendly staff. The room were basic but i had a group of mate and we were out on lads birthday drink weekend so was ideal. Breakfast really wasn't the best this need improving as sausages and bacon were very nice. I would use again but not have the breakfast . Tip. They offer few pounds off ur parking when u park nearby in multistorey car park
Well it's cheap. But parking is expensive. It's very tired. Breakfast is, well, cooked. Room is pokey and it's very noisy with the window open. Good shower unless your over 6' tall. You get what you pay for so can't really grumble.
