The property is in transition from being a Motel 8 to part of the OYO brand. Overall it is a modest no frills place that of course looks dated. But it delivered on all of what matters for a traveler on a tight budget - clean, quiet, sink and tub drain properly, towels in adequate supply, room temp easy to regulate. The attendant at desk was friendly and efficient and housekeeping did their job well. I'd stay here again if on limited budget as, truth be known, the places costing 20 more a night don't really offer bettter basics.
Budget friendly.Quiet, felt safe. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Staples in the carpeting in the room; not well vacuumed. Toilet paper and hair in the toilet when we arrived. Toilet paper roll more than half used. Stains on chairs, carpeting, sheets. I slept fully clothed and used my own pillow.
Need to change out side sign since it say super 8 and not OYO
Broken tiles in the bathroom, carpet I didnt want to walk on barefoot, furniture looked like it came from the side of the road, bleak interior, bleak lobby, a parking lot that looked like crimes often are committed in it. Only bright spot was the mattress was newer and the sheets were clean.
The photo and name OYO was a bit deceptive, when we arrived at OYO Hotel, it was an older Super 8 motel. The Super 8 signage was still on the property. The setting was industrial, surrounded by gravel parking lots to accomodate semitrucks. The clientele activity in front of the entrance way, appeared to be questionable, but we wanted to give it the benefit of doubt. We had qualms then, but we were tired and proceeded to register. Upon entering the room, the first impression was one of overall uncleanliness. The carpeted floor was filthy in appearance, did not want to touch it, but seemed sticky. That unclean look extended to all of the tired furniture in the room. We did not want to sit on the bed, much less sleep in the bed. We then made the decision to leave immediately. We then exited out of the room and down to the lobby. I explained the condition of the room's uncleanliness and our overall feeling of being unsafe here, and therefore we would not be able to stay here. The clerk did not argue or hesitate and issued me a credit approximately 15 minutes after our arrival, and we left the property. On the following day, my credit card company contacted me asking about a certain charge, OYO Hotel was attempting to charge my credit card thru Expxedia
This is a Super 8 room photos not accurate. Smells like smoke in lobby. No on-site housekeeping but nice woman at front desk to cover the basics. Pictures imply breakfast but not what we experienced
From the rusted chain on the door to the badly stained curtains on the window, this is simply a dump. Wyndham should be ashamed to be associated with this franchisee...
Nice place to stay, Friendly staff and good location.
Not much good to say about it!!!!! Its not east to find. Its like hidden away from everything. The bathroom door sticks, and drags across the floor, making it hard to open.
Nice people, nice location. Perfect for what we wanted.
Room was clean, staff was friendly but the pillows not very comfortable...
The first thing noticed was all the signs about not smoking on the premises or you would be asked to leave the hotel. I thought this was good considering I or my wife don't smoke. The next thing I noticed when we went to our room, was the strong odor of cigarette smoke in our "non-smoking" room in the "non-smoking" hotel. The room appeared clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating considering how many people were checking in at 10 PM. Breakfast was average, with the dining area a little small for guests. The hotel itself is set back off the road quite a ways, and I was a little concerned about safety of my vehicle, but the parking lot was well lit. I would have recommended the hotel, but the cigarette odor was pretty unpleasant.
Good value for the money quiet clean location accessible and close to the dunes Breakfast OK but area is too small however. Only 3 tables.
Welcoming and comfortable. Traveling with two teenagers. Denny's next door. Close to I94.
-Not a good location, off main road behind a closed worn down restaurant, can't see from main road except for their sign, it felt like in middle of nowhere -they recently became smoke free (in July I think), but my room still had smoke smell that gave me headache, they were completely booked so I could not move -during my stay, there were lot of truckers staying there (18 wheelers) -bathroom ceiling was in bad shape on one side, could not get water out of faucet at tub, just the shower -unsecured wifi worked fine -staff was friendly
