The only complaint I have is that their pool during Father's Day weekend was completely over-congested with people, leaving us no room to even enter the pool area. The pool is extremely small to begin with. This is not much for adults; probably great for small children. The room itself is very comfortable and it's only 34 minutes from Chicago during non-busy hours. It is a great substitute if you would like to travel to Chicago on a budget.

We had an amazing time when we stayed there. There were a few people that was really nice and kind one was named April she was there on a Monday and she was passing out drinks she was awesome she helped us with everything. There was another lady named Jennifer she worked at the front desk she took care of all our needs. Lastly there was our housekeeper her name was Michelle she was amazing at cleaning and making sure we had everything we needed during our stay your Hotel was very nice and clean and my family really appreciated everyone during our stay

Planned a trip to Munster, Indiana for work this week and decided on this hotel. I long ago accepted that reasonably priced hotels come with some sacrifices but this hotel completely surprised me. Upon check-in, the staff were friendly and helpful and let us know that they would have dinner and also free beer and wine that evening. After settling in, we ventured downstairs not expecting too much from this "free" service. To our surprise, they had a great selection of beer and wine and had really fresh watermelon (among other snacks) out. There were other residents in the lobby socializing and I really felt like the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. It's so nice to meet other travelers while on the road. Breakfast the next morning was no different and while we did not have time to sit down and eat, there were lots of options to grab on the go. Aside from the great amenities, the room was also very tidy and the bed was super comfortable. This space was perfect for two people and I really appreciated the layout of the room. Shout out to April and Cinthia for making our stay great. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer. Will definitely frequent this location if traveling through this area again!

We are on our roadtrip from Atlanta to ??? We selected the Residence inn tonight as a convenient stay just before we got to Chicago. Very much the standard for Marriott Residence Inns, studio room, queen sized bed, kitchenette, not much more to ask for. Evening happy hour (we missed it) and morning breakfast. Only warning is the that the heavy construction on the interstate can be a pain in the ,,,,,

Sabrina greeted my husband and I upon our arrival, She was so sweet and helpful we arrived early and was even able to check in to our room. The room was beautiful very clean and spacious. The hotel staff was very nice. Breakfast the next was good a wonderful variety of food and beverages. I have to say our getaway was wonderful. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone staying in Hammond IN

This location has been my go to place to stay when I travel to the northern Indiana area. Its in a good location with easy on and off the interstate. It has been on the whole, consistently clean and relatively quiet and comfortable. I stayed here back to back weeks heading home for the weekend. On the first night during this group of traveling dates I had what I'd say was a huge issue. (I'm not going to put the details here but if you contact me directly I will divulge the issue: READ ON) When I brought it to the attention of the staff, I will say that the manager handled it appropriately and honestly, I was impressed with her honesty and integrity in acknowledging and owning the issue then offering a solution. With the issue happening the first night of a 2 week stretch I was wondering if I should reconsider the second weeks stay. Because of the way the issue was handled I had the confidence and considering my past history staying here, I decided to stay for both weeks. About the only negative comments that I can comment on (besides the issue that I encountered) is; 1. wished that they recycled the trash and were more environmentally responsible! 2. The common areas needed to be vacuumed/cleaned daily because I saw the same debris on the floor for 2 consecutive days. 3. The exercise room obviously is not cleaned or checked daily either because I took the empty container of sanitizing wipes to the front desk to obtain a replacement on 2 different occasions. The courtesy towels also were not being replenished daily either. 4. The only other thing I can comment on (which is not controllable) is the ability of guest cooking in the room, needless to say if someone wishes to fix fish, the odor will primate the entire vicinity. My paramount concern when I travel is CLEANLINESS. My COMFORT is second. Due to the nature of the beast the furnishings are starting to look really beat up with nicks and scratches on them. Hopefully it getting close to time for a fresh new look. Just because it's not my stuff doesn't mean that I can abuse it. Think about those who stay after you. The breakfast that is provided is a nice perk as is the mixers in the evening. Despite the major issue that I encountered on my first night back because of the handling of it I would continue to stay here for my business travel needs. one a side note: I wished that Marriott would be much more aggressive about conservation and recycling. I hung my towels up to dry and when I returned it was replaced with a clean one. They don't recycle the trash and they use to much disposable dining items for the evening mixers. They have china plates in the morning, why can't they be used for the mixers too?

This is a comfortable, clean hotel. The rooms are all suites at a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly and works to make your stay as nice as possible. Excellent breakfast in the morning. They have opportunities to gather and meet others. Great for networking on the right days.

The staff was helpful and professional. They answered travel questions promptly and printed of maps for assistance. The rooms were very clean. The atmosphere was welcoming. The mangers allowed us to leave one of our personal cars as we headed on into Chicago. It was greatly appreciated!!

The brand comes with expectations and I don't feel they were met with my visit. Check in was a breeze- friendly staff. Went for a hot cup of coffee but it was lukewarm. Room size is decent. I had a view of a large retention pond to the West- I liked it along with the afternoon sun. Large windows- the bedroom window opened all the way- I like fresh air and it was unseasonably warm. The bathrooms are small but there is a separate area for the sink and mirror. I prefer one room- others may not. Shampoo, etc are Paul Mitchell- decent brand. Shower is strong. The tub has an overlay which is usually found in the cheap hotels. NOISE- I could hear the guest above walking back and forth- back and forth... Floors are paper thin. So, suggest 3rd floor. There is a small desk, round kitchen table and coffee table. The couch is large but not very comfortable. The TV's are crap- not one would expect with this brand hotel. Remotes and cable provider are worse. Lucky I had my ipad. Cabinet doors and drawers were sticky. Fridge and freezer were clean. I would have expected a complementary bottle of water. Bed was comfy- enough pillows- extra in closet. There is an indoor pool and several guests were enjoying it. There is even an outdoor basketball court that two guests were enjoying. Breakfast was awful. 7:30 am and they had already ran out of coffee- I was able to get 3/4 of a cup- at least it was hot. The eggs were like rubber. Very cramped buffet area. Tables are fine- even a large TV. However, I would skip it. Check out was easy- friendly staff. I posted my remarks to the hotel site and within minutes received a response. They even followed up for clarification. So, with that I have raised my evaluation.

The hotel is located right off the highway so it makes it very easy to come and go. I had absolutely no issues with noise in my room and the hotel is located in a very vibrant area alongside two other Marriott hotels and a Crack Barrel, Wendy's and the Indiana welcome center. The area was well lite and there was always a police or security car paroling due to the area having so many people present. The hotel itself has a nice outdoor basketball court and a indoor poll and fitness center. There is even a BBQ area if you wanted to have a little picnic is the warmer months. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially at checking in and at breakfast in the morning. I loved to see the staff walking around in the lobby at breakfast engaging with guests, it was a nice touch. The rooms were clean, modern and everything you would come to expect from Marriott. I would highly recommend this hotel and hats off to the staff for making it brilliant for my friends and I during our recent visit to your property. We will see you at least twice a year from this point forward :)
