Upon entering the room my wife and I were taken aback by the small room, small “king”size bed, crowded feeling, and dingy appearance. The TV set was small and faced sideways to the bed. So looking at the screen from bed meant craning your head into an uncomfortable position. I immediately went back to the front desk and asked about getting a different room.I was told by a rather hostile young woman that all the rooms were the same size and that the rooms with a balcony were even a tad smaller. Furthermore she informed me that I was only a Silver elite member, having “only 33” nights to my credit so far this year with Marriott, and that I don’t get upgraded until I am a Gold elite member, with 50 nights. I am age 74 and have been with Marriott since the 70s.I hate confrontations, it was late, and only a 2 night stay so I returned to my room. Upon turning down the bed I found wrinkled sheets and pillowcases and floppy pillows, not the usual crisp fresh smelling bed that Marriott is known for. The next morning, a Saturday, we left the room at 1030 am to watch my 2 year old granddaughter take her 1100 am swimming lesson. We didn’t return until 1000pm and discovered that our room had not been serviced. The bed was unmade and there were no clean towels. This time my wife went to the front desk. The same hostile young woman was there again. She said that we hung our do not disturb sign on the door and that is why the room was unserviced. My wife said we took it down when we left at 1030am, and I remember doing that.In a harsh tone the desk clerk said “Whaddya want me to do about it?” My wife said some clean towels would be nice and came back to the room with some clean towels. We were happy to leave the next morning at 900am!

My husband and I were guests here while attending a Feb. 22-25 conference at the McCormick Place & WinTrust Arena. We booked a 1 bedroom suite on the 3rd floor...VERY nice with comfortable furniture in the living room area, a very COLD mini-fridge and microwave, and a SUPER-sized balcony! We used the Bistro for our breakfast & snack options...convenient & good food. Amber and the rest of the staff were professional and very helpful. We will stay here again upon our next trip to Chicago.

Overnighted in Hammond while returning home from Chicago with my son. We had a late check-in and everything was in order on our arrival. The room was fine for the short time we were there with the normal amenities. The hotel was conveniently located beside the freeway but we did not hear any interstate noise. Seems like it was recently updated but couldn't tell you for sure. Anyway, we have some events that will take us through the Windy City and would definitely make this a stopping point to avoid Chicago gridlock.

Everything I expect from a Marriott property and more. Keep it up. Came up from Indianapolis and needed somewhere to stay for the night. Comparable rates and worth every penny paid. Definitely would return.

First of all, this is a good hotel. Just from my experience from staying at several Courtyards around the country this year, I wish the rooms were updated. The television was very frustrating as it was still using older technology and not the updated technology which allows one with Netflix/Hulu to use their accounts. Rooms were clean and large. Lobby is very nice and updated. Just didn't match the rooms. Check in was a breeze and the person that checked me in was extremely nice. All staff I encountered for the week were great. I would still recommend this hotel without any hesitation

I was impressed by the fast check in and very friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable. I went to the convenience area to get a drink and they let me have it for free. That was a nice surprise too. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Wanted to get away for my Birthday. Hubby took me to this hotel. I am somewhat handicapped and was pleasantly surprised with the amenities. The room was perfect for a romantic stay OR a place easy accessible for the handicapped. Every employee went out of their way to make our stay awesome. Especially Shelli W! She delivered my hot Starbucks coffee, so I would have it when I woke up. Who does that?? The bed and pillows were perfect, which surprised me. I usually bring my own pillow, because I'm so fussy. The handicapped shower was like nothing I'd ever seen. Easy access for a wheel chair. We stayed for two days so we could check out some of the shopping on Rt.30. There is plenty to do! There is a great Cracker Barrel next door if you miss breakfast service. Even though we weren't too far from home, we felt like we were on vacation. The only negative I could find, is the fridge was on the small side, but if you bring a cooler, the staff will fill it with ice for you. Great place, awesome staff! We will be going back!

The room are the same size of the other Marriott and it had breakfast the room look old spots on the curtain floor The edge was missing the bed on the bottom of the bed was old looking and dirty why pay that much for so little

Judy Bard is terrific in helping me book any type of room, for business or for personal travel. I am trained in customer service so I am very critical when it comes to how I and my guests are treated and Judy and her staff surpass my expectations every time. Last winter when the roads were closed due to a blizzard and I could not make it home, Judy was there for me to find me accommodations close to work. I'm sure she was overwhelmed with other travelers in the same situation but Judy didn't show it - she helped me with a smile! Judy is simply the best and she rocks!

Stayed here instead for 2 nights. The gentleman that checked me in was energetic and cheerful. So was the girl at the breakfast deli the following morning. The room was OK. TV remote batteries as usual appeared to be drained. Took multiple presses for it to register. The bathtub drained very slowly. Was hoping that house keeping would note it and get it fixed. No. Mattress appeared to be softer than typical Marriott mattresses and gave me backache.
