nice hotel, clean, close to restaurants comfortable beds, nice towels

Despite being located on a very busy 4-lane road, the room was very quiet. Also pleasantly surprised by glass-enclosed pool and hot tub, nice view of surrounding prairie. Also happy about the complementary hot breakfast served on weekends. The purpose of my trip was to visit a nearby outlet mall -- it was located 10 minutes away by car.

The hotel is centrally located and near restaurants and stores. I did not have the opportunity to try the restaurant that was attached. I had a room that was accessible from the outside like a motel. It was a bit noisy with people coming and going, that was the only fault. Next time I would ask for an inside room.

The staff, at check in and check out, could not have been nicer or more professional. The location is excellent: close to the highway and just a few miles from the outlet mall and casino. There is no shortage of restaurants in the area. We did not take advantage of the pool or free breakfast. We stayed in the older section of the hotel, where we understand most of the king size bed rooms are located. The room was outdated. The curtains and wallpaper are in horrible condition. The bed was clean and comfortable but the room needs work. I could hear everything going on in the room next to ours, through the vent in the bathroom. With our Orbucks discount, our room was less than 100.00, so I can't complain too much.

The Hotel staff was very nice and helpful, great hot breakfast better than Holiday Inn Express. Pool and hot tub was also GREAT! We will be coming back.

The suite was enormous, clean and decorated in mid-century modern. There were two big TV's, one in the outer room, one in the sleeping room. It was extraordinarily quiet, Christmas night, we only saw a few cars in the lot with our own. Breakfast was free, so convenient, clean and friendly staff. Maybe it's because I'm not a biscuit and gravy person, but there was French toast sticks, eggs, too. Would definitely stay again, not any problems or issues at all.

Started with a dirty room and horrible location. Then it was a bus full of band students outside that the hotel made wait outside and they began playing instruments for over an hour at 2am and the hotel made no effort to control it. Never again would I stay here or offer it to a friend. Even without the band it was a gross hotel.

Very friendly staff . gave us suggestions of where to go. But the room was a bit dirty. Sink and coffee cups had stains in them.

The best feature of this hotel is its indoor pool. That is our main reason for choosing this location when visiting Michigan City. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but nothing fancy. It gives a vibe of a rundown, old hotel that has been semi-renovated. However, the staff is friendly, and we have no major complaints.

We were pleased with the size of the room, and the clean comfortable furnishings in the room as well as the common areas. There is definite room for improvement in the breakfast menu.

I had very pleasant experience with the Clarion in Michigan City. The staff is what made this stay so enjoyable. I had a small group of 7 year olds for a cheer competition and the staff was plenty helpful. From lending scissors to complete crafts, to helping fix plates at the breakfast bar. They were very professional, patient and flat out kind. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious. Keep up the good work!

Room was very clean and comfortable. Very tasty and free continental breakfast. Excellent experience for our short stay.

hotel was clean and staff was friendly

The room was large and well appointed. Perfect for my wife and I, since I like to get up early and she likes to sleep in late. The Suite gave both of what we wanted. Plus Notre Dame won, so an unbeatable weekend.

Did not have a refridgerator or microwave as noted in description. We were lookingforward to having both.

The hotel is close to everything and was fairly clean. It was a restful stay, however the pool was not open, as advertised. The free breakfast was not available, as advertised, as the kitchen was not open. These amenities were partially the reason this hotel was selected.
