Besides not being able to electronically unlock an outside door in the rain and having to run around to the front of the building, the keys I was given were those to an existing occupied room, which scared the bejesus out of an elderly woman who was standing inside. The same clerk behind the desk couldn't give me directions downtown (???), but let me know they had free WiFi and I could look it up... The bathroom light was connected to a fan that sounded like a B-52 taking off.

Nice staff, clean, etc. Only problem is the location. Yes, it is close to the interstate exits. BUT, the traffic is horrible. Other drivers are very reluctant to let you out of the hotel's driveway. So, you can be sitting there for a while before you can get out. Not to forget about the road construction happening. Other than that, great stay.

For the price it was perfect. The hotel staff was very friendly and the parking lot was very spacious.

Good location, good rate but NO WATER PRESSURE in room. Could not take a shower.

BE VERY AWARE the hotel has no elevator. The worst part is the smoking rooms are on the second floor only. We had a member of party that has a hard time doing stairs but because he wanted a smoking room we had to climb stairs every time we left our floor. When we ask how our party was going get his luggage upstairs when we he cant climb stairs well the front desk agent offer us a luggage cart. Still trying to figure out how that was helpful. The rooms are set up very weird with the shower walls coming into the bedroom. You can even open the shower door without hitting the toilet.

I checked into this hotel after checking out of a terrible Travel Lodge earlier that night. I was not disappointed. It was nice quiet, clean and comfy 3 night 4 day stay. I will definitely return if ever in the area again! Beautiful newly renovated room!

I was expecting a whole lot less for the price. Very clean and comfortable room. Will stay here again for a layover if we go to New York again and needs a stopping point.

This could be a very good place for an overnight stay if they would just train their housekeeping staff. This was my second stay in two months and it was my last. The shower had not been cleaned and that is inexcusable. The previous time there were similar housekeeping issues.

The rooms are clean and the staff is super friendly. They recognize me from being here the week before. I am working in the area (I am from NJ) and its nice to deal with friendly people.

it was a nice place to stay! clean and comfortable

Fairly noisy. Occupants in room above could easily be heard simply walking around, with lots of creaking. Good price.

Coming from I-95 you have to go past the hotel and make a U-turn. Don't turn at the light in front of the hotel. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Great shower and breakfast. Great price.

great stay, quiet---------------------------------------------------------------------

Room was small but homey and clean. Nice bed and air worked well. Only complaint is that we were on second floor with heavy luggage and there was no elevator. Will stay there again.

Clean roon, good breakfast, easy off and on to 95, grocery store and a Target close, computer in lobby to use and a great value

This was a very comfortable place to stay overnight. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bedding was modern. Flat screen tv. Got an end room so not tons of traffic in front of my door. Which helped me fall asleep better. Did not get to enjoy breakfast because I left too early. But there are many places to eat nearby. Very pleased with this hotel and would definitely stay there again and reccomend

My wife and I were in Fredericksburg for the weekend on vacation. the hotel is centrally located, and was a good value, except that they never cleaned our room. When we asked, they told us it was their policy not to clean unless requested. We never heard of such a ploicy-it was not stated to us beforehand or anywhere on the site.

There is no elevator in this hotel. It only has two floors, but still. My husband & I stayed for two nights. Before we left for the first full day of site seeing we took off the "do not disturb" sign off the doornob. When we came back to the room around 5 PM to freshen up before dinner, we found the room had not been touched by housekeeping. When we inquired, why not? The front desk said it is the hotel policy not to enter a room when the guest is not inside to give permission. The policy is, housekeeping knocks on the door and when it is answered they ask if they can come in and straigten up. If no one is there to answer they don't come in. Their justification is the guest has their personal belongings in the room and they do not want to disturb them. You can request that housekeeping come to the room when you originally check in. We did not know any of this prior to coming to the motel. The desk clerk made appologies. They did bring us more towels and soaps after we complained. Have never heard this policy before in any other motel or hotel. The breakfast was fine and the bed was comfortable. It would have made it more enjoyable if the sink and toliet was cleaned when we left for the day. There is something that says you are on vacation when you go back to your room and the bed is made. Nice feeling, good end to a good day.

Stayed one night for business. Room extremely nice, comfortable, clean, well-equipped, modern. Staff very professional and courteous. No outside or next-door noise noticed. Breakfast left quite a bit to be desired -- not warm, poor selection. Would definitely stay here again -- just will make other breakfast arrangements.

We were there to visit with our daughter and did not need to spend a great deal of time in the room. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was courteous and helpful, and the breakfast was better than expected.
