Love the free shuttle from the Pentagon City train station! I called when I got there and was told 10-15 minutes and the shuttle arrived in 12 mins. I came to see Titanic at the Signature Theater and it is practically across the street and up a little bit from the hotel so loved that! Loved the cookies in the lobby. All the staff I came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Also loved the adjustable bed!! The carpeting in the room could use an update, there were some stains here and there but not a big deal to me. Bathroom was spotless. The room itself was a very nice size, not like some that I have been to where you barely have room to move between the bed and the TV. I will definitely be back.

i had the most amazing stay. the staff was always willing to help at all hours. will definitely be using the Hilton again on my next vacation

Very clean, the neighboorhood surounding the hotel has a 24 hour grocery store, 20+ restaurants and a movie theater in walking distance. Also free shuttle to and from metro station

The first room we got had a bad smell. They immediately changed our room and our stay was great after that.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We stayed here while visiting with people who were staying in DC, but this hotel has the very nice perk of free parking, which is nearly impossible in the city itself. I found that getting a shuttle into the city to the closest metro was super easy and they were always willing to pick you up at whatever time you came in. Drivers were friendly--no issues there. When I got there I had been put in a room close to the elevators/ice machine, but I asked if that could be changed and it was, right away. The room was spacious and comfortable. My only gripe was that the shower had really weak water pressure. Not the end of the world. I really like the free coffee/tea at the front entrance. Breakfast wasn't free, but there's a Peet's around the corner, as well as other establishments.

When I booked this hotel, I knew there were restaurants in "walking distance." I didn't realize that it was in a cute little town center with numerous independent restaurants, bars, froyo shops, Harris Teeter (grocery store) and even a public library! Parking is free on the 4th floor of a parking lot across the street. Checking in was painless and quick. The hotel room was clean and spacious. The bed was soft. The refrigerator made a weird knocking sound every hour or so, much it wasn't too annoying. Coffee in the form of k-cups were provided in the rooms and fresh in the main lounge. After eating at 2 separate restaurants in the area and grabbing froyo, my boyfriend said, "You did good [in picking the hotel]."

For a quick business meeting trip, this location was convenient, staff was helpful and expedient, and environment was conducive to productive work.

The hotel itself was very nice, the rooms were spacious and clean and all the staff were very courteous as well. The staff quickly worked with us to secure a new room, after I booked a handicap room by mistake. The location of the hotel is perfect. Tons of stores, shops and restaurants once you step foot outside of the hotel. Overall a great experience and the only drawback from the hotel is a small pool (Real Small) with limited hours of usage and a gym that's not equipped with free weights.

Hilton Garden Inn Shirlington is, in almost every way (I haven't eaten there as there are so many excellent restaurants nearby) an excellent, reasonably priced hotel in a lively setting.

Hotel was nice, comfortable. Great neighborhood, close to my meeting

Always love this hotel, greatly situated and always super clean. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel has a free shuttle that gets you to the Metro and has free parking across the street!! Will be returning!

The Hilton Garden Inn is located in Shirlington, a very nice and lively part of South Arlington. The hotel is new and well appointed and maintained. Staff at the reception desk were invariably well informed and efficient. Altogether a very positive experience. Although I did not take advantage of this service, the hotel also provides shuttle service to airports and the Pentagon City Metro stop.

Outstanding customer service, clean rooms, and comfortable accommodations. Located in a nice area with plenty of restaurants and shops.

Nice staff. Nice location of hotel surrounded restaurants of all types of cuisines.

Good room and staff. It is a short drive to the Pentagon and 395. Has several shops and restaurants in walking distance from hotel.

The hotel is very clean and the service is excellent. It is a great alternative to staying at pricier hotels located in DC. The city is very accessible- the hotel provides a shuttle service to the Pentagon City metro. In addition, Capitol Bikeshare has a location about 50 meters from the hotel main entrance. With a bike, you can ride through the Arlington bike trails to DC.

This is the 3rd time staying at the hotel as it is in a great location in Shirlington.

We always try to stay at the Shirlington Hilton Garden Inn. They are always welcoming, the rooms are consistently clean. We stayed here for my daughters' wedding, my grandsons' birth, then baptism, and now their first birthday. Fantastic memories! It was always welcoming to walk into the Shirlington.

I needed a place in the vicinity of Arlington National Cemetery to attend a family burial. The price seemed reasonable, so I booked four nights. I was pleased that my room was ready when I arrived. I walked around the hotel and saw a nice pool and hot tub. I looked quickly at the hours, and I thought they were 5 AM – 10 PM, as the exercise room. Nope. 5 PM – 10 PM. Just as I was recharging my zen in the hot tub after an early flight, I was shooed out of the pool area. I was not pleased. They apologized profusely that the pool hours were not mentioned when I checked in, and offered me a bowl of fruit and a couple of vouchers for the breakfast. (It is a local ordinance that all pool areas have lifeguards on duty at all times.) After that, it was smooth sailing. The neighborhood around the hotel is great. There are many nice restaurants around the corner. You will need to take a shuttle to get to the metro (to get into DC), but I never had to wait very long. I thought my room was clean and in good repair. I travel a lot, and for me to say this place is perfect, would be a stretch, but I would recommend it, and I would not hesitate to go back.

Loved the location. Close enough to DC without all the noise. Great little Town Center located around block with plenty of places to choose from to eat. Running trail right in front of hotel a huge plus for me. My only complaint was that the fridge in room didn't work.
