Everything was excellent...room, staff, breakfast...!!!

Clean, comfortable, outstanding employees. Never had a maid ask about our comfort at any hotel ever!!!. The breakfast staff were constantly checking food and supplies. Will return when in the area.

Overall, it was a nice stay. I found the mattress uncomfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great!

Good hot breakfast and convenient to DC if you have a car.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and good hot breakfast. Down side was that it is over 3 miles away from Metro. Yes, they have a shuttle service but they only give out shuttle passes 30 minutes before you want to leave. Very stressful making sure we could get a family of 5 on a bus that holds 10. Next time I'll stay in hotel walking distance to Metro. Also, when we checked in we were given a room that was already occupied. Me, my husband and 3 kids walked in on the couple that was already checked in to that room....not happy!

We stayed Saturday night at this place while visiting DC. This is my fifth time visiting DC and the second time staying outside the city. Comparing to Crystal City, Alexandria is a little bit further but same convenient if you drive. At least I enjoyed free parking, free breakfast, free wifi and very reasonable hotel price. The staff we met were all nice and professional. The room is standard but with fridge and microwave to use and very clean. I only wish there were two queen size beds instead two doubles. The complementary cookie and coffee in the lobby is very nice. Hot breakfast also exceeded my expectation. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. The only annoying thing was that on Sunday morning about 8:30 a group of guests talked loudly in the hallway and waked me up. They knocked doors, greeted to friends and the housekeeper. They sounded all polite but very annoying. Of course this would happen anywhere. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Suited our needs perfectly--close to my grandkids home, very comfortable, hot breakfast, helpful staff.

EVRYONE connected with this inn was super. They were helpful and attentive. Having a shuttle to and from the Metro every half hour was a real plus.

Everyting was good but the beds are not comfortable

This was our first visit to the DC area and this hotel helped make everything wonderful!! Great breakfast every morning!! And a different variety every day. Free snacks available all day!! They even had breakfast bags packed with granola bars, fruit, etc if you were in a hurry!! Would definitely recommend this hotel. No metro close, but they do offer a shuttle service. You can also drive to a mall nearby and park for 4.00 per day, park free on the weekend.

Hampton Inn Alexandria is a good hotel with comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. However, it has no shuttle service and is over 4 miles from the nearest Metro stop (King Street). This hotel will only work if you have a vehicle, you cannot access public transportation or restaurants. The website states it is accessible to Metro but this is false - there is no shuttle service to Metro or either airport. Recommend stay at hotel with shuttle service instead.

This hotel was a business person's dream -- fitness center with state of the art equipment and technology, coffee available 24 hours, a small "office" with copier, fax, printer, and 2 PC's, a staff mindful of a business person's time, closeness to a diversity of restaurants, and hotel breakfast to-go bags. It was easy to get in and out of the parking lot. I can't think of anything I would change -- if you can replicate this service and setting, do it.

My husband and I didn't want to stay in downtown D.C. area - too expensive and conjested. This hotel was easy to find and in a beautiful area near old town Alexandria. Breakfast was fantastic - both hot and cold items each day. Cookies, coffee and fruit available in the lobby all day and evening. They even had bags of muffins to go if you left early in the morning. Newspaper outside your door every morning. Staff was excellent. Very helpful with restaurant suggestions and explaining the Metro system. The one and only thing missing was that the hotel was about 4 miles from the Metro station, so you had to pay to park to ride in on the Metro. However, staff very helpful to tell us the cheapest place to park for the Metro. Also helpful to print off our boarding passes in their Business Center. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We were on vacation visiting Washington, DC. This Hampton Inn was reasonably priced and in a good location for our needs. Enjoyed their full breakfast and later items on the hospitality table at the end of the day. Employees could not have been any nicer to us.

We enjoyed our stay with our grandchildren. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The location was convenient to Washington DC touring and historic Alexandria where there were great restaurants. The outdoor pool was enjoyable and clean. There was even a lifeguard on duty at all times. The free breakfast buffet was very nice.

It was a great deal except for the fact that I could not sleep due to the noisy A/C and noisy neigbors.
