Embassy Suites Hotel Alexandria Old Town

3.5 out of 5.0

Hotel remodeling was taking place during visit. The noise and fumes from the construction were not pleasant. Also on the 2nd night the hot tub had been drained so it could not be used. I also didn't know beforehand that parking under the hotel would be $30 per night.

Very nice hotel and excellent staff. Room was very comfortable. I will stay here again.

Suite was a bit smaller than we thought but it was spotless and the staff was wonderful. The free breakfast every morning was the best we've ever had anywhere ! Location was wonderful !

Enjoyed my stay! Hotel was centrally located so we could walk to Old Town each evening, took the Metro into DC for some sight seeing and rode trip water taxi to the National Habor.

I always stay in Alexandria when I visit DC. This hotel is right across the street from the King Street Metro Station, so I don't have to deal with DC traffic!

Nice happy hour, kids eat free staff very friendly, great value for the money .parking is close

Very nice accommodations. Happy hour and breakfast are extremely good values.

An easy walk to King Street/Old Town area. Right across the street from the Metro stop. We had one of the suites on the top floor. Plenty of room and a large bathroom.

Staff was excellent. Breakfast and happy hour are a nice touch. Bed very comfortable. We ended up getting a room facing the Metro Station which might be ok for some people but the tone of the brakes when it came into the stop kept waking me up every 15 minutes all night long. My other half didn't hear it though and slept fine.

Well located to businesses, and easy walking distance to a wonderful neighborhood avenue full of shops and restaurants. Very clean and bright rooms and lobby, nice berakfast made to order.

This Hotel exceeded our expectations. The Metro station was right across the street making it a perfect commute to D.C..

Very close to the Niagara Falls. Clean room. Greta staff.

We recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Alexandra, VA during our visit to Washington, D.C. For a family with two young children it was hard to beat! The King Street/Old Town Metro station was directly across the street & very convenient for traveling in and out of D.C. each day. The cooked to order breakfast was a great way to start the day with full bellies & the manager's wine reception each evening was the perfect way to end a full day :) The beds were super comfortable, rooms very clean and spacious and the staff were wonderful & very friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Very nice hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Room was clean. In-hotel amenities were more than adequate with a full, hot, cooked-to-order breakfast every morning with something for everyone. Varied menu for the in-house restaurant and the food was excellent the one night we "ate in". Located across the street from the Metro train station. Getting to anywhere/everywhere in the DC area was a short walk across the street to the train.

Excellent place to stay- had a blast! Would stay here again.. very clean and everyone was nice

A total of 12 extended family members stayed in 5 rooms over the Thanksgiving holiday. If you want to see the DC area without a car, and take advantage of the shops and restaurants of Old Town Alexandria, including the free Trolley, the Embassy Suites is a great spot. We took full advantage of the hot breakfast and (the 2 hr.) happy hour drinks and snacks. Renovations are in progress which should update the property.

Clean room, convenient location, helpful staff, fitness room with breakfast and afternoon drink/snacks included. Microwave and refrigerator allow economy for meals when on extended stay with grocery across the street. Easy walk to Old Town and across from Metro stop. My new favorite place to say in the DC area.

My experience was good up until the last morning of my stay. I was sleeping so very nicely when I was awakened by banging from upstairs. I tried in vain to go back to sleep but it didn't work. I called the front desk and complained. They in turn called the workers and asked them to pipe it down. They were a bit quieter but my sleep had already been interrupted. Twelve to three would have been a better time for maintenance. Unfortunately I checked out early. Bummerf

The best part of this hotel is the location - right across from the King St. Metro - easy access to DC and surrounding area. Staff was OK - could have been more welcoming - for example, there was no one available when we drove up to unload our luggage, the front desk person didn't tell me about the breakfast (hours, location, etc). The breakfast is very nice. Parking rate is ridiculous - $26 per night! And you have to pay for wifi if you want it available in your room; otherwise you have to go to the lobby to use it. Overall - a nice hotel but could benefit from a few changes.

Excellent stay at the Embassy Suites - Old Town. Location was perfect with easy access to the Metro which was very important to us. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. My only complaint which is not really a complaint is that everything closes so early in D.C. It was impossible to find anything open after 11:00 P.M.
