Our first morning there, we heard a knock on the door. I went to the door right as a voice said, "Housekeeping". I said, "No thank you", and the voice said, "Okay, I'll come back later". ??? Huh??? So, to be extra sure, we put the 'Do not disturb' sign on the door as we left. We were frustrated to return that night to find the sign missing. Pranksters? We were absolutely horrified to find it was hanging INSIDE our room. They came in anyway?! We had left our things on the unmade bed because we weren't expecting anyone in the room. The bed was re-made UNDER our stuff (or did they handle our things?), and my pajamas were removed from their spot under my pillow and were left on top of the coverlet. I did not wear them the rest of the trip. Also, our towels, hanging (which should signify we will use them again), we removed and replaced! Why??? How is that eco-friendly? We did not discover anything missing after the unwanted intrusion thank goodness. Also, my phone call to the front desk ensured no one entered the next 2 days (the remainder of our stay.) Intermittently, the toilet makes a rather loud 'water discharge' sound. I think it is the whole plumbing system. It is most disturbing when you are in the bathroom, using the vanity, and suddenly the toilet makes the loud noise. It was mildly disturbing when we would hear it in the room. Sometimes it woke me. The thermostat would only set to Heat/Cool, not Heat alone or Cool alone. When it is cold outside, and the room gets to

it was great staff was friendly room was also very comfortable would stay there again

Modern hotel pleasant staff. Beautiful room. Need Gps to find hotel especially at night.its not easy. for the price it's worth it.

My stay was very nice. Clean staff very nice. I would Love to stay there again

The hotel staff was extra helpful. I hurt my calf and they made evey effort to support me!

I recently had my parents stay at this Marriott, and we had stayed there before so we knew what to expect. The room when they checked in was clean and the location couldn't have been better for the purpose of our visit.

We know most Marriott locations meet a good standard, but, the staff here put them in the upper echelon. Add its convenient location to Old Town Alexandria and the Metro and National Airport and its a winner at a very favorable price. I stay here every time I am in Alexandria.

Very relaxing and easy accessible. Will stay there again.

The hotel is fine, just nothing special. The location is kind of a pain. Definitely not walking distance to much.

This will be my pick when going into DC again if I cant get in Crystal City (close to airport) - enjoyed the stay

This was a great place to stay. The staff was great. I was scheduled to stay 3 nights and when I arrived the first night I was informed they were overbooked. I was upset but the staff was able to send me to a courtyard not far away for the first night and compensated me for my troubles. That is not what I was requesting but it is always a bonus to have people that care about what they are doing. The staff at this hotel does.

The staff was great. Great location especially for the price. Good, clean rooms. Free parking!! Tons of good eating places!

It was decent. WiFi was good. Way overpriced on the mediocre snacks in the lobby (I would've preferred a vending machine). They had an iron and complimentary toothpaste (which I forgot), but I had to pay for some overpriced hairspray. Comfortable room. Good location. Overall decent option.

The hotel itself was fine; apparently, they have recently redone the lobby which has a great modern feel. The rooms are a bit outdated but nothing unbearable. My major concern was with the cleaning staff and check-out. We had the "do not disturb" sign up and the cleaning staff kept knocking once while she opened the door. This happened 3-4 times during our 3 day stay. Additionally, when we did request to have the room serviced (after 5pm) at the front desk. We were told it would be taken care of. We came back and it had not been serviced at all. We later find out the cleaning staff leaves at 5 - but no one bothered to tell us when we requested the service. Lastly, we requested late check-out and we were locked out of our room at Noon. Just seems like there is some mis-communication or staff training that needs to be done. I frequent Marriott often and I have status (I travel for work) and this is not like Marriott so it was a bit disappointing.

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel, the staff was amazing and the location was great!

It was a great experience. The location was perfect, being close to Old Town Alexandria and the metro station. If you are planning to visit this area, stay with Marriott Courtyard. The best part was that parking was onsite and free!

We were in DC for a wedding weekend. The hotel was a little bit further away from downtown DC time wise than we had anticipated. Not much to do within walking distance. Staff was very helpful and professional. Room was clean and bed was great.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel.. Great location (at a walking distance from the metro station and dining places), excellent staff and at a reasonable price.. It couldn't get any better!

Great Food, Great and Friendly Staff and Great Location. A Blessing!

Upon checking in, the front desk attendant informed me that my credit card had been denied even though it had been prepaid online. After a lengthy conversation with management and speaking with the online website's customer service, it became apparently clear that the attendant had no idea of what he was doing. Secondly, my room while appearing clean. had a subtle scent of body order that wouldn't fade. I dealt with the room, because I didn't want to go back down to the front desk for another complain of the credit card fiasco. I have to say the "Bistro" was very nice and the food and staff there was very accomodating. The location is close to the Metro station so those were positives. All in all I would stay there in the future only if there were no other options closeby in the same price range.
