I would recommend this hotel for a short stay only. They have very limited staff at the front desk. When we were checking in, there were 2 people. There was a couple in ahead of us, us and then a group of 30 people showed up. I am happy we were second in line to be checked in otherwise we would have been waiting a long time. The exterior of the hotel and elevator looks modern but the rooms need an upgrade. The rooms are very simple with the most basic necessities. The breakfast area is really nice with an outdoor patio area with the view of the water. The parking in this hotel gets filled up quickly. If there is no available parking in front of the hotel, you have to park outside near some grassy area. The staff is very friendly, helpful, informative, and always willing to lend a hand. There are a few bakeries in the area of the hotel where one can buy some pastries, other than that, you would have to go to the beach area.
On the booking: we requested sea view and it was not available (OK, it was additional and it s fine) a double bed was booked and we were given a twin "put together". Still OK, it's a vacation and we understand the new year's eve can be messy. But the tone of the communication was REALLY rude: this is what we have and that's it. Again, maybe language barrier was the responsible. we got there and when my wife asked if it was possible to have a bed as we subscribe in the package, the receptionist said: NO. Not "we are sorry but due to blah blah blah it's not possible" simply NO, with the same rudeness displayed in the email. So it wasn't the language, just the attitude. Seriously it kinda spoiled the spirit of being guests and welcome: some kindness it's a must especially considering the price that was charged for the room (absolutely unjustified for cleaning and quality). The receptionist the following day (check out) was instead nice, but the magic was gone and the spirit ruined. Whatever, never again there.
We specifically selected this hotel because it boasted of excellent views from ALL rooms. We were given a room with a very limited view (bottom floor, furthest from optimal view points). We didn't feel we got our money's worth. Rooms could use some updating.
The hotel is super beautiful, the stuff super friendly, the view stunning. I whis my schedul would have allowed me to stay longer. The checking in the middle of the night was no problem. After a long day a super clean room with a soft bed waited for me. Even getting up early in the morning was nice cause the view to the see was stunning. After a very good breakfast we unfortunately had to leave Tank you
Front desk staff were surly. Construction seemed unfinished. Felt like a quick and dirty construction to get tourist dollars. It was hard to find due to remote location but view of the coastline was good. Breakfast was below average.
If you want to stay a few days and enjoy the sun and the beach it is a good place for you. It is quite far to walk to town. Breakfast was average and below. My wife needed katle to boil water for a stomach problem and the only katle they had at the hotel was broken
This is a hotel that could be anywhere but for the beautiful beach and marina view. It seems to cater to tour groups. For the price we were quite happy to spend two nights of our two week vacation there. Overall we prefer more character. The orange juice was not fresh as you find in most hotels in Portugal. This hotel is well off the beaten path and requires a drive to visit a beach or eat outside the hotel-a bit tricky in the dark
Great hotel with breathtaking views over Nazare & beyond for very reasonable price. Beautiful Outdoor Pool with stunning views , sun loungers & free big pool towels but not heated !!! Rooms lovely free safe , thick fluffy towels replaced every day , toiletries , TV & Mini Bar very clean with lovely bathroom and priceless views. Excellent buffett breakfast plenty of choice including hot options with very attentive staff. Excellent reception staff very efficient , helpful & fluent in all languages. The views are fabulous but you will need a car There are a few reasons why i didnt give the hotel the whole 5 stars as follows They have a stunning fourth floor panoramic bar & restaurant that is lifeless dull with poor food which is such a shame because the situation out of town means this restaurant could be a gold mine but we found a dull menu , no atmosphere , snooty staff and an all round poor experience with the food such a shame i was so looking forward to it. Also the rooms would benefit from tea & coffee making facilities. I would not let the restaurant deter me from going again or recommending the hotel however i wouldnt recommend the restaurant or bar. The area and Nazare is amazing we loved it.
Really enjoyed ourselves at the hotel miramar sul. Food lovely, rooms clean, staff friendly, shuttle bus into town, had dinner at the spa which was very nice. All in all a great stay with two children would recommend. Sea fog was breathtaking.
Our family had a wonderful stay at Hotel Miramar Sul. Our room was great and the balcony had a terrific view over the pool and over Nazare. Though the hotel is a slight drive from Nazare, it was certainly very doable (we parked in a public lot). The town of Nazare can be rather hectic, so this hotel was a nice calm from the crowds in Nazare. The people working at the hotel were helpful, and the breakfast was very good. We would certainly stay here again.
