Hotel was very nicely done and in a great location. Nice bar, restaurant and lobby area and the rooms we well appointed. Check in was fast and efficient. Hotel is walking distance to the entire town so its a great spot if you do not want to drive anywhere once you arrive.

We stayed in Husavik during our first organise tour to Iceland, it was the best place we've ever stayed during our 7 nights trip in country. Hotel is luxury, breakfast is awesome and location is super center, just 2 minutes walk to the harbour where you can do your whale watching tour. Besides all this experience, receptionist lady, Magdalena (I hope I remember her name well) helped us to create next day route around Diamond Circle, I have never seen a person helped us in any accomodation like this before. Special thanks to her that make our stay unforgettable. %100 recommend this place.

Hotel in a great location within easy walking distance to the whale watching boats, marina, and downtown restaurant. Husavik as a whole is a cool town if you can get past the fish smell. Cool shops, good eats. Staff was very friendly at hotel. Great water pressure in the shower. Despite being 24 hours of daylight, there were nice blackout curtains so sleep was easy to get. Book early because this place can be $$$$$$$$$$$

We were really tired after a hectic drive through rain, wind and one lane roads all day up in the fiords and were not expecting anything flash in Husavik to stay in. As it happened this hotel was like an oasis of modern comfort, warm and cosy, very friendly staff and a great restaurant all in one place. This was perfect for world weary travelers. Our room was lovely and comfortable and gave us a great night sleep. The Foss chain seem to have worked out a good formula for tourists to meet all their needs.

Fosshotel is an Icelandic hotel chain with locations dotted all around the island. The rooms are usually modern and very comfortable. They come with full amenities and a tasty breakfast. We arrived at the Husavik location in the early afternoon and were struck by how close it was to the city centre and harbour, but also by the modern decoration, especially the bathroom and the amazing shower. The friendly staff is obviously multilingual and very keen to help out and advise on the many activities you can do in and around Husavik. As always in Iceland, breakfast is plentiful and tasty. Husavik itself is a prime location for whale watching and has quite a few excellent restaurants. Our hotel room very much contributed to an overall magical trip in the North of Iceland. We enjoyed our stay so much that we were quite sad we had to leave the following day to continue our round trip honeymoon, but we’ll definitely come back for a winter remake. tl;dr: A modern and spotlessly clean hotel very close to Husavik harbour. Probably one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in during our Iceland honeymoon.

I arrived so early that I only called in to ask if it was okay to leave my car outside while I explored the town but was pleasantly surprised to be told by Lucy the friendly and helpful receptionist that I could have the room. An extremely welcome surprise on a cold and very windy day in Husavik! The rooms are unexpectedly unique and not what I would have expected from the outside, modern, clean and spacious, free and fast Wifi and really pleasant and friendly staff.

The hotel is very nice, comfortable, and very modern we arrived very late in the evening and had the possibility of haveing dinner without any problem the breakfast was very nice the room had a spectacular view to the harbour, which was a plus, and after so many hours driving to reach such hotel, was a pleasure!

We had two nights here and travelled to Lake Myvatn and the local area and also spent a day whale watching etc. The hotel was a great base, clean, comfortable with a good bar and food. Would recommend for anyone in the north of the island

By far the best hotel we stayed at in Iceland. We were pleasantly surprised at the size, style and facilities of this hotel in such a remote part of Iceland. Breakfast was great and after being cold and wind swept from a day of whale watching and exploring Husavik, sitting in front of the open fire in the lounge area of the hotel with a glass of wine was much apppreciated!

We stayed here one night and enjoyed even the weather was really bad. A room is modern, clean and spacious. This hotel is very eco friendly, that means you don't get much amenities in the Bathroom, but you get what you need. I'm a bit surprised a bath room sink is really small, the smallest I've ever seen, no space to put anything by the slide, but this is not a huge issue. Breakfast is just okay. We thought the receptionist wasn't very friendly, maybe same middle aged lady who a traveller mentioned in August. She could be a bit more friendly especially because I was friendly when I checked in and no other guests there. But these are small issues, room rate is very reasonable comparing to other hotels in Iceland, very good value, if we are in the area, we are certainly coming back here again.
