Well equipped and very comfortable hotel next to the park and palace. Spacious room and very well equipped and stocked bathroom. Full range of choices for breakfast and both set menu and a la carte for dinner. The food very good. Smallish bar, but wide range of drinks and very attentive, courteous and helpful staff. No tea/coffee facilities in the room, which I missed, but did not detract from a comfortable stay
I went here for business conference and I think our company availed a conference package. What I liked: - the room assigned to me was spacious and clean with a nice balcony view. (I think it was a comfort or superior room but since it was a conference package, I only paid for classic room fee.) - food selection for breakfast and lunch were nice - generous mini bar and drinks selection - nice bathroom ameneties - The surroundings and view of the hotel looks nice but too bad as we didn't get to explore as we went there for work related activities. What I don't like: - reception took a very long time to accomodate us when we arrived. When we were trying to check in, it took them some time to find our names in the reservation list.
I stayed one weekend for a Company Meeting here, the room was quite small, and do not expect any excellence here. The TV was a cheap China TV only with SD program (even this is a cheap HD Model). Nespresso is available on the room, but only with cheap exchange capsular. Amenities in the bathroom are more 2* and not 4 star. Only shampoo and not body wash or conditioner, towels are very small and everything is run cheap in this house. Frontdesk personal is rude and did not managed over 2 days to get me an electric cattle.
Decided to forgo a trip to Berlin to visit Kassel, Hercules and the museums, so glad we did. This is a great hotel right at the foot of the waterfalls, next to the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe. The spa services and amenities make this a wonderful respite for the busy travelers. The sauna overlooks the valley. Our room was very clean and the staff excellent and attentive as need be. Quite pleased we decided to stay here, as it proved a getaway within a getaway.
We only sat on the terrace of Schlosshotel Bad Wilhelmshohe. It offers a very nice view of the bergpark. We all enjoyed a cappuccino ahead of our trip home. You can park here for free if you spend at least €15,00, which we did. We parked here to visit the bergpark, the water arts and Schloss Wilhelmshohe.
checkd in for one night. room 704. No a/c in the room, had to open the balcony door. shower temperature cannot be controlled. hot boilling water both ways. how do u expect me to shower then? the only cold water available is from the sink. using empty water bottle, so i leave u to imagine how i had my shower. when check with reception technician will only come tomorrow morning. when ask to change room, typical reason 'fully booked'. wifi is even worst. connect for 3 minutes and disconnect. connect and disconnect countless time. not sure how u get 4 star rating. really dissapointed.
rooms were not really value for money ! not really big and very warm at night - no airco so we opened the windows at night which brought a lot of mosquitos in !!! We didn't get any change in room when we complained about that, only a ventilator.... so 3 nights we slept bad for 530 euro !! we paid far too much money and on top you had to pay 8 euro per day extra to park your car (no chance to park it anywhere else): a real rip off. we won't be going back that is for sure ! Really disappointing !!!
Stylish hotel furnished with Barcelona chairs, Eileen Gray tables a Bauhaus experience. Too bad the hotel doesn't live up to the decor. Breakfast buffet was tired and uninspired and dinner was a true disappointment. Bathrooms were ridiculously small. Laundry service was amateurish and front desk often overwhelmed. There aren't many choices here, but you might want to look further!
This is our second time in this hotel, not by choice but our other choices were already booked. Those who read me know we have extensive experience, tend to go high-end and do not like absence of training and service. What has changed: a good renovation has taken place, there are new rooms (get those) with air-conditioning, it can be scorching hot in the summer. There is Wi-Fi included in the price. If you want to be out of town in the park of the castle and visit the Hercules, this is great. If you want to go to town (documenta, hello), be warned the tram is almost a kilometer away and there is no more bus shuttle from the hotel, take your car or a taxi. It will take you about 20minutes either way. No shop, convenience store or anything else within walking distance. The name of the hotel describes where it is located, it is not a "castle-like" place but an upmarket, better motel. Everything works (the air conditioning settings are blocked, you cannot choose the fan speed, it is on Auto), the parking must be paid everyday (charged to your room), there is no warning or advanced package for that. It is 4 star superior: this makes you wonder what a not superior would be. You better be ready to carry your luggage yourselves as it is difficult to get help, the housekeeping people nicely volunteered for us. The products are average and small. The free bottle of water is only for one day, not renewed. The shower is height-adjustable, thank you but there is no door so the water flows a bit inside the bathroom. The mirror is too far away for shaving or make-up, there is a hand held mirror but the sink sides are so low you cannot really use it without folding yourself over it. Now, you get 100 0/0 POLYESTER bathrobes, you can use them as raincoats. We asked for real cotton bathrobes from the spa and got them but wtf who had that idea. The bath towels are made for small persons. Otherwise our new room was comfortable and convenient. Breakfast, even during documenta, is until 10. The food is fresh and plentiful. It is however average, no artisan local products or anything to report about. Another reviewer put it best, you feel penny-pinching, no a/c in the corridors to your room for example, The service is erratic, the hotel needs coordination in its training. You have very nice individuals such as the waitress, originally from Santo Domingo or the housekeeping personnel helping with the luggage. The cleaning personnel does a great job. The rest is run of the mill: nobody says hello or welcome, you do not get any recognition. For a simple conference for a company, it could be a safe choice, away from every temptation and in a beautiful park if weather permits.
First the good points. This is a modern hotel, fast wifi is free, the room was excellent, the area quiet for a good sleep and the breakfast buffet one of the best I have had for a long time. The hotel is located within a beautiful publicly owned park. Now to the bad things. At £ 147 per night, this is not a cheap hotel. Yet there were not enough papers available in the breakfast lounge and when I requested the reception to let me have a newspaper, I was charged Euro 1.70. Although there are acres of parking space available and the car park is secured by a barrier, they charge Euros 8.00 per night. In my experience, considering the room rate, this is greedy. On balance, the hotel is over priced, value for money it is not. Before moving to Kassel, I stayed in a hotel of equal standard in Erfurt (Linderhof), at roughly half the price, all included. I shall not return, sorry.
