Gran Hotel Sula

This hotel is in the very centre of San Pedro Sula, and feels very safe due to entrance and lobby being guarded by security staff. Plenty to do in the hotel, as there is a restaurant which has seating indoors and outside and is very affordable, there is also a pool and plenty of conference rooms. The bedrooms are large with comfortable beds, tables, chairs, spacious ensuites and decent sized balconies. Rooms feel very safe as they are high above ground level and watching the green square in the evenings/mornings is a lovely way to wake up. Would definitely recommend this hotel as staff were more than happy to help with whatever we needed and made our stay very enjoyable.

I arrived at the Gran Hotel Sula in the middle of the night and was met by staff who checked me in and were helpful and polite, no matter how late I was in arriving. This is a beautiful hotel, but in the Honduran traditions, not American. Only Spanish is spoken here, but staff can speak English if you need help. My room was large and well-outfitted. It had a big balcony with comfortable seating. The hotel has its own well, so I could even drink the tap water -- a luxury in a foreign country. The on-site restaurant had good food at excellent prices and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. There is a small shop downstairs near the front entrance that stocks a few essentials if you forgot something, as well as small souvenirs. There is a perfume shop also. Guests can use the comfortable living room area in the lobby. There is wifi. My phone worked just fine, although service goes out occasionally and you must be patient and wait for it to return. It was never out for very long. My maid was great and kept my room clean and neat. The hotel has armed guards 24 hours a day and I always felt safe there, even though I came the weekend after the highly-contested presidential election and there were demonstrations in the streets and violence going on outside. Marshall Law was enacted during my stay and I could not leave the hotel in the evenings after 6 p.m. But I felt protected and safe inside the hotel walls. All in all, it was a fabulous vacation and I enjoyed my stay.

The fifth floor was nice and quiet; the room was clean, warm water shower and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast included was a good deal (and excellent service). If you just need to visit the US Consulate (right next door) It's a little more than "budget" but for the price and location, it's perfect.

excellent,Location rooms perfectly clean and spacious and from resection to the housekeeper they maintain excellent customer care, I stay over a month and staff make me feel at home away from home always

This hotel is across the street from Central Park and the Municipal Building. Staff was pleasant. If we needed an extra towel or blanket, they were happy to assist. They answered any questions we had. An older hotel, built in the 90's, don't expect new, but still pretty and clean. The restaurant had good waffles for breakfast. I was not expecting the sausage to be a deep fried hot dog, though. Pool area was really pretty with palm trees and table/chairs to relax. Wifi works better in the room than in the lobby. A/C works great in the rooms. We had a nice balcony overlooking Central Park. Busy street, so not quite until later (10 or 11pm).

Stayed in San Pedro Sula for just 24 hours waiting for our flight. We shopped for coffee(Honduran coffee is the best anywhere) at a market that was close by our hotel. Gran Hotel Sula has a bar and cafe, as well as a pool. There's lots going on in the city, a lot of interesting things to see.

Hotel is really old. Its now like a "classic" or a symbol for the city and the cafeteria hasn't change menu in the last 15 years. **please ask for the club sandwish its the best plate they have to offer.

The hotel and the services are pretty decent, but if you're expecting to get any useful internet out if then you are sorely mistaken. The WiFi here comes and goes, you get disconnected every five minutes, and when you're connected you'll be lucky if you can play a single youtube video. The only thing I can save from here is the food, the restaurant has excellent food, but otherwise, there's nothing special from staying here.

In the heart of San Pedro Sula, Honduras. You have absolutely everything around you. If you are here for business then the industrial zone is just 20 minutes away. The beach is 36 minutes. The business center is great

Comfortable and friendly hotel centrally located near grocery stores and other shopping in the city. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and breakfast was included in the price of the room. Breakfast was very good.
