We stopped late at night after traveling South. Late reservation. Great room. Up-to-date room. Very comfortable!! Would stop here again.

Having spent a night at another Holiday Inn Express the night before I thought I knew what to expect as the strength of a chain should be consistency from one location to another. But things were off from the moment I hit the front desk. The person checking me in was a little gruff with me and was involved in a conversation with other staff about what this hotel needed. I didn't feel especially welcomed. I then came downstairs to get some more things out of the car and on the way in asked the check in staff if she could recommend some nice restaurants in the area. Instead of getting me a sheet or giving me a direct answer, I was told that there was a book in the room I could reference. Well, you can guess that there was no such book in the room. And when I returned to the desk, there was no apology and she just listed the restaurants, mainly chain, next to the hotel. Not helpful. But the hotel was clean, the breakfast good and it was an easy on/off to I-95 with lots of chain restaurants around if that's your thing.

The hotel was okay. Older. I was blocked a room (for a one week stay!) that was terrible (window was a wall type that was behind a beam looking down into a slice of the indoor pool) I asked the clerk to move me and she did to a 2nd floor parking lot view (better I guess!) which she commented was good thing I was in early I would not have been moved. I stay in alot of hotels so I was not happy with the amenities in the bathroom or the bedding covers. Sheets basically with a thin end blanket. I went to Target and bought a big fluffy blanket for $30 and then I was comfortable. In room fridge was a plus. One thing I did use everyday was the workout room and breakfast was hot every morning so that was a plus. I was 6 miles from Havre De Grace where my class was being held so the commute was easy. The Olive restaurant next store had good food - seafood and pasta (vs Applebees). The staff at the front desk later that week was pleasant and helpful even helped me print some pictures for my art class. Walgreens is right across the street and a grocery store is nearby. I recommend okay for 1 or 2 nights because it's convenient hotel to 95 and affordable. I will find a nicer hotel next time if I go back to this area.

It was a pleasant stay. The room was very quiet. The breakfast was decent. Eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, etc. Hotel was under minor renovations, and wasn't in the best condition; yet it didn't detract form our stay. The indoor pool area was great... we were the only ones there! There was a small video game room which was also empty. I also had the treadmill all to myself in the late morning. I would stay here again if we were in the area.

Rooms clean and tidy with ample space. Large complimentary breakfast and bar for nightcap.

The room was very clean, and the bed very comfortable. The free breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had. We will surely stay here again.

Enjoyable stay, especially enjoyed the quietness, location, and free breakfast buffet. All of the staff was friendly and very accomondating. Would definitely stay there again. Only complaint was the presence of scalfolding in pool area which discouraged us from using the pool.

Kids enjoyed full breakfast included in stay. Everyone liked the comfortable pillows and beds.

The Holiday Inn - Chesapeake is very conveniently located to The Cal Ripken Baseball Stadium Complex. I travel extensively during the summer with both my son and daughter's travel baseball and softball teams. This was not a fantastic first experience with this facility. We arrived in the Aberdeen area early in the morning for an 8:30AM game. Following the game we thought we would try to check-in (11AM) or at least check our bags and use the pool facility to cool down from the hot (96F) weather before the next game. We were told this wasn't possible, and that we couldn't even be checked into a dirty room. We drove around the area to stay cool in our air-conditioned vehicle, then went to the next baseball game. We checked in to the hotel in the afternoon. Prior to going out to dinner with the team, both my husband and I took naps - laying on the top cover of the bed. The room was large, not exactly spacious, but the carpet seemed a bit grungy compared to the newer drapery, bed covers, bathroom, etc. We left for dinner, returned, and at about 11AM decided to go to bed. The one double bed was fine, however a tremendously horrid odor (stinky, unwashed body parts in very private areas!!!) wafted up from the bed when the bedspread/blankets/sheets were turned down! It was overpowering! We called down to the front desk - were told that there were no rooms to be moved to - and a security guard was sent up to the room with a can of spray and a change of sheets that he literally dropped-off. We were told that we had to change the bed linens ourselves! I requested a new mattress pad and completely stripped the bed...only to find that the mattress was the problem...not the linens. When the guard returned, we had him remove the linens, spread the new mattress pad over the bed to contain the smell, and used a can of Oust we had brought to keep the smell at bay. We sent our son to sleep in another room, and we shared the remaining bed. We were extremely disappointed with our stay...and if we ever return to the Aberdeen area we will find other accomodations rather than this Holiday Inn.

The Holiday Inn ABERDEEN-CHESAPEAKE HOUSE is a very clean kept up hotel. The room was larger than expected with high speed internet. What was nice was the fact of having a large desk and adjustable chair with which to work at. The television was a larger screen than expected with full clarity. The bathroom was very large with nice granite countertop. What was really nice was the bathroom was clean. No spots or stains anywhere with large mirrors. The staff was very friendly and most helpfull even giving out cookies and candy as treats. I liked the fact that this hotel is close enough to a couple of restaraunts that you can walk to with shopping close by. One of the best things about this hotel is it is family and business friendly. If I have the chance to visit Maryland again, I would definately use this hotel again and refer anyone to use this hotel.

This hotel is ok considering the others in the area are worse. We travel to this area yearly for a weekend convention and have stayed in other hotels nearby. Room amenities are nice and beds are comfortable, free breakfast needs a larger area to accommodate everyone, especially when there are alot of kids there for various sports. We were consistently left short on towels and toiletries since there were 3 of us in the room. Location close to I95 easy off and on Shopping and dining close too
