Great location in walking distance to plenty of shops and restaurants in Launceston, the room was a little dated and the lighting in the main room was really dim yet the robe and bathroom was really bright not sure why that was the case.
we stayed at this hotel before and found it very good. We would definitely recommend the hotel and we will stay there again when we are in Launceston. The location is excellent for shopping and restaurants.
Booked a standard twin room but upgraded to an executive twin and it was great for our overnight stay. Nice city views, clean and modern. Staff were lovely and helpful. Would stay here again if we are back in Launceston. Nice short stroll to City Park.
Nice hotel. Central location. Clean rooms. Nice staff. Parking costs $6. Aircon can be hot but there is window and you can switch it off. Good comfortable bar area. Easy to get to. Beds comfortable. That's it.
We were woken up from guest banging on another rooms door to be let in. The Grand Chancellor staff gave us a discount upon complaining about the way the hotel runs allowing this to occur. If they had standard room card access to lifts to ensure only guests have access to the rooms in the hotel. We will not chose to stay here again due to normal standards not in place at this hotel.
Beautiful historic building, modern inside. We enjoyed the good location and the staff were friendly. It was nice to walk into the warm foyer after being out in the icy winter weather. We only wished there was a pool. Directly across the road from the Harvest Market on a Saturday morning which is a must for breakfast, morning tea or a few snacks like delicious cheese and the best milk inTas (elgaars)!
An accesible place, it's close to everything. The staff was friendly and was easy to talk to. They were always willing to tell me which direction if I wanted to visit places. Room's clean and was actually great. Worth the price we paid for it.
Very professional and warm , one of the best locations for a hotel , the lifts were very fast and quiet , we had room service and it was very prompt and fine food , we were offered the car park until we finished shopping
Always love Launceston to come and watch the Hawks and eat at some of the finest restaurants in Tasmania. We come to visit Launceston to watch a game every year and walk around the city admiring the historical buildings.
Hotel was fine. A bit dated but service good and comfortable. Good location for me as a trade show I was attending was in the same hotel. May not go out of my way to stay here again but wouldn't avoid it either. Good value for money.
