Average accommodation. Bed not made up properly by staff daily. It was just pulled up. Meal at the restaurant at the villas was ordinary and too expensive. Staff at reception not very friendly. The villas require lounge chair in them. The chairs are very uncomfortable to sit on.
Stayed with the family (Husband and kids 3 year old and 7 year old) for 2 nights the kids had a ball and didn't want to leave. Indoor pool/spa was a hit. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we could play tennis or golf but we did go horse riding. Great facilities and easy to get around, friendly helpful staff. Would definitely go back.
Have stayed here several times, always comfortable, clean and tidy, this trip was in a 1 bedroom apartment, with kitchenette. Restaurant, bar & Pizza Restaurant on site. Dined in the Bolters Grill for dinner, everyone a little disappointed they have changed the Chicken Parmigiana recipe, please go back to the original parmie. The kids no matter what age always love a swim in the pool, with pool towels available. Supermarket, bakery, cafes and bottleshop five minutes drive.
Lounge chairs very uncomfortable. Bed rolls into middle very uncomfortable. Cleaning staff very unfriendly and unit noy cleaned properly. Bed not made. Purchased meal from pizza bar. Very fatty taste and soggy. Contacted management with no reply. Would not stay again.
The Villas are a cheaper option than staying at the Country Club proper. Although you are only a 600 meter walk from the Club, there is a regular transfer bus running. The room was generally very good although the noise insulation between floors and rooms is minimal. The Villa room is a good size with the bedroom separate from the lounge /kitchenette. Microwave, 2 element stove top is provided as well as toaster, jug etc. There is a very good pool & spa close by with an adjacent gym. A good restaurant is within the complex. Found the staff to be mostly friendly and helpful. Free morning paper available from reception.
Prefect place to stay with your family. We had a two bedroom villa. Very clean and spacious villa. Everything you need and very friendly staff. We only stayed three days, they changed laundry and made our beds. The courtesy bus was great if you want to go to the casino and restaurants. Close to Woolworths and some shops. We recommend these villas to all families.
We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa for 3 nights. The Villa was clean, well equipped with a washing machine and drier and to my surprise it was serviced every day. The facilities in the resort are good and the staff helpful. The villa was rather dated in terms of decor but it was very clean and well presented and we would definitely stay here again.
Have stayed in the apartments a few times. In both the motel style and stand alone apartments, find them both very clean and comfortable and bed was very comfortable. Parking can be a bit tight in the motel style ones especially in busy times.Staff are always very friendly and helpful and if you are a federal rewards member and book via phone you get a discount.
After reading quite good reviews about these villas I booked 2 nights for my partner and myself (and baby daughter) for a recent trip to Launceston. When we arrived check in staff were friendly and helpful. Our ground floor unit was very out dated and not worth the amount we paid. It was definitely more of a motel style, one you would find on the highway while doing an interstate drive. Every time our neighbour turned their water on it could be heard throughout our unit. The units were boring and furnished 20 years ago. They had been recently painted, but with an off white/light brown colour which did nothing to brighten the place up. The grounds were quite lovely and very well kept but people smoked everywhere! Including the neighbours, right outside our room making it impossible to have a window open. Maybe a designated smoking section of rooms could combat this issue? The bed was not very comfy and we slept the second night in the lounge on the pull out which wasn't a whole lot better. Check out staff were friendly but we were not asked how our stay was, hence this review. The onsite restaurant was handy and we ordered take away the first night which was just ok, and quite expensive. Take away alcohol was very reasonably priced. We wouldn't stay here again, nor recommend the villas to anyone else. They are definitely not priced as budget style but I feel that is exactly what they are. Sorry :(
We had a poor experience back in 2012 and didn't return. However, we wanted to be in Launceston overnight over Easter so options were limited. They had a 2 bedroom villa left and were willing to do a corporate rate so we booked ($168 versus over $200 full price). The villa was large and comfortable overall - it had a washer/dryer and a full oven with good crockery. Only issue is that the main living room is very bare - why not put a shelving unit in or something wooden to brighten it up? The pool is good for a swim and the changing room floors are even heated. The newspapers are back to being free and they offer free and fast WiFi (not often the case in Australia). We can't comment on the housekeeping as we only stayed one night (that was our big issue last time). If we could get a similar price we would stay again and thanks for the chocolate bunny on check-out! PS still a nasty 3% surcharge on AMEX but Visa is not surcharged.
