I recently spent 3 days at the Langham and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, if a little dated. The breakfast was very very good and far better than I expected, a good selection of cereals and toasts, orange juice and for the full english a selection of cooked eggs (fried, scrambled or poached). It was a good start to the day. The staff were also commendable and very helpful. Behind the hotel is the Racecourse park which is wonderful at this of year. The hotel is a 10 minute walk into the town centre.
My sisters flight was delayed by an hour so she tried to do the right thing and called them in advance. They informed her that it would be too late and could not leave a key out. She had no where to stay for that night so she had to sleep in her hired car. She is still waiting for a refund. Will never book here again.
Great stay. Friendly and helpfull. Room 9 on the back of hotel looking over park.Only downside is entry to carpark, it is pretty bad and not good for your car......holes all the way.... all in all Nice stay
I booked a one night stay for myself and husband and daughter but had to cancel.I rang the hotel and explained and was told i had to put it in a email which i did then had a email back saying that i would have to wait one month and one day after the day i cancelled to receive a refund which would be sent out in a form of a cheque even though i paid on my debt card.This was on the 13th of january after several calls to the hotel asking where the cheque was i recieved half of the cheque back yesterday the 6th of march.I have rung the hotel this morning the manager was not at all helpful saying he runs a busy hotel and he will sort it.When i asked the question how come in ur email confirming the cancellation i was told one month and on day his reply was i was very rude and said he was putting the phone down on me .I will be very surprised if i get the rest of my money back and would never recommed this hotel ever very poor customer service.
Very friendly family run hotel, staff extremely welcoming, lovely breakfast,secure car park at rear , room was clean and comfortable, fantastic value for money at £42 for a 1 night stay with breakfast
Excellent value accomodation. Room reasonable size, clean abd comfortable. Nice English breakfast included in the price ( a real bonus). Why pay some of the over the top prices when this is fine. A small issue is the pot holed and ineven road around to the rear car park.
We were booked for three nights, but stayed just one. We arrived later than planned, dreadful dirt track full of pot holes to get to the hotel car park. This was locked so left the car parked by the gates and walked round to the hotel door was locked so rang the bell not a pleasant greeting from the owner ( even though we apologised for being late) Car park was full so no secure parking for the car!!!!!!! We were taken to our room!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One bedside light not working, bed cover not fit for my cat to sleep on, so much dust on the pelmet if you touched it then it would probably have fallen down, shower had black mould so couldn't shower!! Food left in the fridge by previous guest, The window had so much thick brown pain on it and looked as if there had been a lock put on it at some time as you could see it. the only thing good was the sheets on the bed were clean. Breakfast next morning dreadful poached eggs were very hard my husbands breakfast was swimming in grease. Went to reception to say we were leaving and said I would pay for the night we'd stayed then discovered that the hotel had taken the money when I booked over the phone, I had not been told this was hotel policy otherwise I wouldn't have booked!!!
Not to impressed with parking, cars locked in after 10 pm so if going out you have to park on the street which is very difficult or unlight track at back of hotel Manager / owner very abrupt with my question about parking. Other staff friendly and kitchen and dining area very clean.
there was 12 of us went for a chrisrening we had a great stay rooms very good the lady who owened the hotel mary was fantastic so welcoming food very good stay again the hotel is run by mary and her family great job thank you for a great stay
I was booked in here to stay for a few day in November 2017, however I cancelled the booking in arrival. It is definitely one of, if not the worst hotel in Northampton. Rude staff and very unclean. It seems reasonably priced but it is really not worth it.
