the route for the parking was a little bumpy, when we got there there was plenty of spaces but on one occasion we barely got through the doors and then i had to get up early to move the vehicle to let someone out. the reception was closed when we got there and took a couple of attempts to get service, we were shown our room, we had to get our luggage up some steep stairs. the room was basic with some nice storage space, t v ,coffee making facilities. the windows did not open due to being broken, the room was under whelming and outdated but i think justified the price which was reasonable. the breakfast was ok, plenty of it but low quality produce. by the third morning i had halved the quantity the coffee was nice. the traffic on the main road starts early and is noisy. the shower was small but hot. probably wouldnt stay again.
Recently stayed at the hotel. Welcome was very warm. The rooms are dated but comfortable and clean. Only one comment about the room would be that the cleaner needs to be more careful of the corners with the feather duster. The breakfast is generous and delicious. I would stay here again.
Found this hotel, on google maps and checked on Tripadvisor. Compared to others in the area this seemed a good deal. The prices were reasonable and not too far walking distance to the town centre. We needed an overnight stay after seeing a show in town. Parking was secure and accessed through an unmade road. The welcome was okay and clear, in general the staff were friendly. The rooms were a good size for the one night, but could do with a really good clean, and redecoration. Some of the fitting in the en suite were worn and dated, however for the price per night it seems okay. I would use it again , but only for a night. The breakfast was really good, choice of cereals on the table, and waitress served. The full english was extremely tasty and plenty of it. Teas and toast were also good.
Stayed for 2 nights over the Silverstone weekend and the prices were very high and not really good value for money. The 2nd floor room was just really average.Unable to move in the bed without groans and creaks The floors were noisy and this was exacerbated by the corridors outside which also creaked. The room was clean and the en suite although clean needed some tender loving care. Breakfast was the leading light of the stay.Substantial, well cooked and of good quality. The car park itself is good but the "road" to it is a mere dirt track.
This hotel is on the main road, there is plenty of parking at the rear, securely locked at night. This hotel is quaint inside with winding staircases (no lift), however the staff are friendly and I am sure would help with luggage if required. The room was clean and beds comfortable and contained a fridge (much appreciated in this hot weather). The breakfast room was light and airy and the service friendly. The breakfast was very large, enough to set you up for the week rather than the day (see photo). They also served a choice of cereal, tea, coffee, toast and choice of jams plus orange juice or water.
The car parking was inadequate and difficult to find along a deeply rutted dirt track with obstuctions from cars parked. The room was only so so with floors that creaked and groaned. The breakfast was the saving grace with good quality products well cooked. The bed and its matress were as bad as any I have ever experienced.
Access was obstructed by contracters clearing vegetation along the bumpy back lane so we had to find another way in. We checked in at 3.30 and out at 6pm. The room was like a sauna, reception suggested we opened the window as fans were in short supply. The traffic noise was horrendous, we had a shower and checked out. We had to wait as we were blocked in by another car. Now in an air conditioned room in the Campanile.
Stayed at this hotel for one night, hotel was easy to find, parking was free and secure at the back of the hotel. Easy walking distance into Norhampton town centre. Would stay again. Rooms were quite, I stayed in a room at the back of the car parking area. Breakfast selection was vast with a massive cooked breakfast. Well worth the money.
Had to put one star as cannot continue but it would be a minus 20. Really horrific service. In all my years of travelling and staying in hotels, I have never come across something like this!! I was due at the hotel on Tuesday 23rd of May. After working all day I set out on my journey to the hotel and unfortunately broke down. At 9.30pm I called the hotel to say I would be late to be told by Mary (or that's what name she gave me)!! I would not be able to check in as checking closes at 10.30. I couldn't believe what I was hearing but then told her I had broken down, to which she replied "that's not my problem" we argued and she was the rudest, brash, disgusting person I have ever spoken too. I had to find another hotel. I emailed the hotel the next day for information on the manager and the owners and got no reply. I also called the hotel again and again I got "Mary" I asked for the managers name and company who owned the hotel (I didn't tell her why) once again she was soooooo rude and disgusting. She told me the manager was not there, asked me why I wanted him and I said I just needed his name, she through abuse at me again and put the phone down. I called back and she told me to stop hasssling!!!! At no time was I rude to her on the phone. I am just flabbergasted the this type of person not only exists but even worse she is in a hotel. I am going to take the matter further but just wanted to warn anybody considering going there DONT.
