A bit pricey for a twin room with breakfast for this area. Room small but modern and clean. Air-conditioning did not work opened windows, but then noisy outside. Only 1 small lift and very slow, have to pay for car park unless you register at check in.
I wasn't quite happy with my stay here. The main priority for booking a hotel is that you can sleep somewhere. But relaxed nights... we did not have. We slept on the first, I believe room 118 and there was a zoom every half hour for about 5-10 seconds. No idea what it was. Hearing it during the evening is not such a problem but it woke me at 6 in the morning and that is less funny. The second night was even more dramatic because not only did the zoom wake me more, there was a big group of guys that was screaming in the hall next to our door from about 1:00 to 1:30 in the night. Unbelievable that things like this happen in such a hotel. We did not have any Phone or something like that to call the reception. Very frustrating. Luckily a lot of other things were good. Service was friendly and breakfast was good. We had to leave early the last day and our breakfast was ready and waiting for us on time in bags. Very good. The beds and room were also okay and the location of the hotel is perfect.
Well what can I say about being woken up at 08.52 on Saturday morning only to be ask if my room needed cleaning we had only checked in 15 hours before not good also they only had 1 lift in service so when the hotel is at full capacity it’s not ideal apart from the early morning call the hotel is just great Bob & Teresa
The staff of this hotel is everything. They are professionals, each and one of them. Not only professionals with their minds in their business, but they are also warm, welcoming, down to earth, always approaching with a smile. I travel a lot per month and I can say that this kind of service is exactly what every one in business should learn from. I stayed here for 2 nights and I have loved it. The staff gets 5 stars, but the hotel gets 4. All though I was staying in a superior room, I was missing slippers, cutton bods for the ears and cotton pads for my face. Just simple toiletaries. Other than this minor detail everything was perfect.
Good location close to town center. I picked this hotel because it had a pool and I like a swim in the mornings. The pool & changing room area was very rough round the edges although functional. For me this seriously detracted from the experience. Rooms were adequate but nothing special. I was pretty happy with my stay until I went to breakfast at 9.45am to find it had been closed for 15mins! I’ve never stayed in a hotel that closed breakfast at 9.30am? Their saving grace were the staff clearing up breakfast who went above & beyond to sort me out some breakfast. At this price point I would expect better, I won’t be staying here again.
I stayed at the hotel for one night whilst on a business trip. Free parking was welcome. The greeting was warm and check-in process efficient. As one of the lifts was being refurbished, I stretched my legs up to the seventh floor. The room was clean and a good night of sleep was possible. Two single beds had been joined together, which didn’t quite work in terms of comfort. In fact, I was given an upgrade but felt the room allocated was about right for the rate. The restaurant looks pleasant but was closed on the night I stayed due to staff shortages. Instead, the bar area was a relaxed space to relax, eat and drink.
Fabulous place to stay, left some clothes behind and Karen in Housekeeping was amazing, sorted sending it back with no hassle 😀 will definitely be staying again. Close to town and parking right outside
I stayed with my husband for one night at the Park Inn as we were going out for a family birthday. We checked in at about 4pm, the check in lady was friendly and helpful and booked a taxi for our night out so we didn't need to think about it later on. The room was ready for us, small but more than enough room for what we needed. Space to get ready with a comfy bed. The rooms seem to have been recently refurbished. Very clean and modern apart from the TV! The shower was lovely. Dove shower gel/shampoo is provided along with plenty of towels. We made use of the pool and facilities , the pool area was a bit dark and in need of a bit of a clean but was an added bonus to our night away. Towels were provided. It's a bit of a walk up some stairs to get from the changing room so worth taking some flip flops and a towel to walk there. We went back the morning after as well which was a lovely way to start the day. There was only one lift working and it only really fits 4 people not 7 as it states! So there was a bit of queuing. I did try the stairs once but I've obviously over indulged a bit lately as after climbing to the 5th floor I was out of breath 🙈!! We got back to the hotel after our night out and were pleasantly surprised to find the bar open and a jolly atmosphere with quite a few residents drinking. We felt it only polite to have a couple ourselves! The bed was comfy, the room quiet and dark and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was £10pp but plenty of choice and we thought it was good value for money. The coffee was good ! We were bought made to order poached eggs which were lovely. The restaurant staff were all friendly and polite and the area was clean and fresh with a good atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return should we have a night out in Northampton again.
Stayed 1 Friday night in March, parking is an additional £5 paid at reception. Good central location. Room was nice comfortable and clean. One lift being repaired which caused a queue at check out but not a problem. Didn't get chance to use the leisure facilities, and we didn't have breakfast. We had a good sleep and appreciated the noon checkout time, would stay again.
I have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for over 20 months through the week for work purposes. The rooms are always clean & well presented, beds comfy, showers good, if any problems occurred they were dealt with promptly. The staff at this place are amazing, the girls on reception, the bar staff and the restaurant staff working at breakfast all more than willing to help & assist. They all seem happy in their work and it shows. The gym is adequate, the pool, sauna a dream after a hard day! Unfortunately my time working in Northampton as ended, but I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anybody visiting or working in the area. Thank you to all working at the Park who made my stays comfortable and fun, a big thank you for the drinks on my last night, very much appreciated and un-expected.
