We stayed for 2 nights in mid-December to meet up with nearby family members. We had a deluxe room on the ground floor which was very comfortable. There were office parties in the function rooms but we did not hear any noise in our room. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant was also pleasant. One point I would make is that I did not notice a service charge had been added to the dinners and I added a tip. When I saw the final account I mentioned this and the bill was altered to remove my extra tip.

The hotel is quite representative for the many run down countryside hotels in the UK. Some refurbishment could do as well... Had a room on the ground floor, walking distance to and from reception was quite long. Arriving on a snowy winter evening, i was surprised that the entrance to the hotel was covered by at least 2 inches of wet snow, and even more surprised next morning that nobody had bothered to remove the snow from the main walkways or the car park. Heating in the room was very loud, so had to be turned off before going to bed. Fortunatey there was another small radiator in the room, so an acceptable temperature could be maintained. Breakfast was ok, the most positive certainl was the competence and friendliness of all staff i met.

I've visited multiple times and always found this hotel to be clean, the rooms comfortable and a good size. The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. A couple of times I've felt cold and the housekeepers brought me an extra heater. Breakfast is the normal buffet but reasonable quality and plentiful. The quality of the restaurant food improved recently. The fitness room is a bit on the small side but the pool, steam and sauna rooms are adequate. My one criticism would be that the breakfast coffee is terrible. You can however buy a Starbucks. The room rates are variable so some visits have been better value than others.

Arrived back yesterday after another fantastic four days at the Marriot Northampton , we've been doing this for at least eighteen years, Becky Lambert and all her staff have done an excellent job again this year, they always look after you and make you feel special. Any problems just see just see Beck's and she will resolve it in minutes, it's a definite for next year. Happy new year to all the staff at the Marriot Northampton.

Overall this hotel is acceptable if needed for a quick overnight stay. The rooms and hallways need some refurbishment, although the lobby, bar, and restaurant areas were very nice. My main concern is due to mobility/accessibility issues. I called two days before to request either 1) an accessible room (with a roll-in shower) and/or 2) a room on the ground floor. The person I spoke with was very confused by the request after looking at my reservation, and advised that in order to get those things I would need to call their call centre to cancel my reservation and make a new one. On the day I arrived, I again asked for a ground floor room, and have a 20 minute wait while other staff we consulted, was told that none were available. The staff was very courteous in helping move the luggage to the room, but this was my very first experience at any hotel where a simple request made in advance could not be accommodated. I am fortunate in that I have minor mobility issues that make stairs difficult (but not impossible), but I can't imagine what would have happened for travelers who are very elderly or in a wheelchair. As the hotel does not have a lift it would be a problem. The restaurant was very good, and the car park were safe and secure. I have other trips planned to the area, but because of my experience I have canceled the reservations and booked elsewhere. I think the problems could be easily sorted with additional staff training.

Stayed over as I had a Christmas party. Check in was quick and easy and the room was very clean and tidy. Nice decor, air con and a large tv. The party itself was great, food good too and the staff were very polite and unobtrusive. The room was very quiet, and there was no problem with noise from the other parties going on.

Booked an executive king room having stayed at Marriott Hotels before. The room was nicely decorated and spotlesly clean. We had room service which was promt and the food very good. Cooked breakfast in the morning in our room was lovely and plenty of it.

Just been for our Waitrose Christmas lunch could not fault the place meal was really good and hot. Staff was really nice and friendly. Only thing could fault it on price for coffee very expensive . Very clean place

Although the hotel property itself needs some modernisation, the staff and service are very good. I also had dinner at the hotel - tasty dishes, nice selection, and fairly good value. The hotel gym is adequate - some free weight dumbbells but new Life fitness cardio machines along with a small pool, hot tub and sauna. Not a bad stay at all ... but not a great one either.

I’ve stayed here a number of times and enjoyed each time, even though it’s staying over for work. Rooms are spacious and clean. Free WiFi, no lift but it’s only two floors so not an issue. Food is nice, a little on the pricey side - but never had a bad meal. Usual breakfast buffet- nice choice. Staff are always friendly and free parking when you stay.
