Staff was great. The food was great. Rooms nice and clean. LivingWell spa was lovely. We will be staying again. This was a little birthday break for my boyfriend who loved it. A great place just to relax
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived and mentioned this fact we were treated very kindly and generously by all the staff, including free celebratory drinks and even an anniversary card signed by all the kitchen and dining room staff when we went for dinner. The hotel itself was clean and well furnished and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We made use of the spa facilities which were excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend this place for a break.
In serious need of some upgrades such as air con in the rooms. Who uses storage heaters in 2017? Meeting room was unbearably hot for 3 solid days with fans having to be brought in. Food and drink is massively over priced for the quality especially in room dining and all alcohol. Staff were all good hence the 3 stars or it would have been 2. Rooms were clean and spacious but duvets thin. Odd petrolly/carpet cleaner smell in all the corridors that was a bit nauseating.
Very poor service, the hotel was dirty, the bathroom was very dirty and they had no staff. was very disappointed with the Hilton standards. The service has gone down and the food was horrible. Has no taste. My breakfast was cold
A well located, clean and friendly Hilton that serves it's purpose as a good option for a business trip.Staff are attentive and friendly. Bar is acceptable and breakfast is good. The bedrooms are a little tired and the bathroom could do with a make over.
Our hotel rooms were large; nicer than expected! Big bathrooms. The hotel staff were friendly and eager to please. We had included breakfast which was first rate. The rooms have good Wifi. This is a very handy hotel to both the M1 Motorway and Nottingham City Centre.
Food very average. No flavours. Do not have a room with an inconnecting door unless family. You can hear everything going on. Sleepless night, not good. Room clean. No finash at all in this hotel. Staff good.
We chose to stay here as part of a large wedding group. On arrival we couldn’t check in, no problem as we had arrived around midday. I asked where the bar was as we had some time before the taxi was due to collect us, directed to the bar I stood and waited for around 5 mins then went to track someone down, and waited another 5 mins when someone eventually turned up to serve me I was told the bar was closed, that they don’t open the bar during the day! Not a great start. Off we went to the wedding and arrived back at the hotel at 12.30 in the morning with about another 30 wedding guests all waiting to check in. We finally got to the front of the queue and then couldn’t find our luggage, it turns out that our luggage had been put into another guests room by mistake, ours was not the only luggage to go in the wrong room. The issue was that there were several rooms booked under the same surnames. I’m not sure that this is a good enough reason to be searching for luggage at 1 in the morning. The room was ok, although the shower which was in the bath was so high to get in, it was almost impossible and definitely not for the faint hearted. On the upside breakfast was good and a good selection. Upon checkout we mentioned the issues we had faced and told that they were aware of the situation, I got the impression that several guests had already taken them to task about the fiasco from the night before and that we were now rubbing salt in the wounds. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend it? No Just not good enough, the hotel is trying to live off the brand and it’s not working.
Used this hotel with Tesco points and found it to be one of the best. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had and the choices were wonderful. Dinner was as good.Hotel lovely if not a little out of the way. Having problems with the bill regarding Tesco points and still hasn’t been resolved however the young lady at the desk is doing her best and is keeping me in touch by emails.
Excellent value for money. The rooms were large, very clean and comfortable with plenty of complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and very well cooked tasty food. One minor point was that the bar closed without warning, the shutters just came down! Highly recommended.
