Friendly and helpful owners and staff. Good location. Beer was very tasty and there was a delicious Welsh whiskey at the bar too. Some of the place looked a little dated but I found it quite cosy really.
We stayed here for one night. Didn't know what to expect with a 2 star hotel but it was absolutely lovely, staff were friendly, welcoming & helpful! We got here and our original room smelt of smoke from previous occupants (baring in mind your not allowed to smoke in the hotel) we had told reception & they changed us straight away apologising. This is also a dog friendly hotel which is great for us as we took our little girl with us. They do politely ask that dogs remain in the rooms at breakfast time which is understandable! But at breakfast time they gave us a sausage to give to her! Which I thought is such a good idea, so our pooches don't miss out at breakfast time 😊 The hotel is located in a great spot 1 min walk to the promenade & sea. The pier about 10 mins walk (depending on how fast obviously) The bed was actually softer than ours at home so it was a pleasure sleeping on it! The only "bad points" we could find is that the rooms could do with a tart up, maybe the televisions being a bit bigger.
Stayed for 1 night very friendly welcome and had a great nights sleep very comfortable bed large warm room and breakfast was excellent Hotel in a very convenient location for see front and town will def come again thanks
Nice spacious rooms here- warm and cosy- it was everything I needed and great central location. Didn't try breakfast! So can't comment there. There are steep steps up to the property. The hotel is near the sea but has no sea views.
this hotel says it's disabled friendly, and it's not! Steep steps up to the front door which is the only means of entry or exit means that a wheelchair user (like my wife) can't get in! We had trouble cancelling the booking, as we only found this out on arrival! Who knows if we will actually get the refund!
Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights between Christmas and New Year. The hotel is warm, clean and comfortable. The owners and staff are lovely and make you feel very welcome. The breakfasts are very good, with plenty of choice. The dining room is large and spacious and the service was excellent. This is a dog friendly hotel and the two dogs we took really enjoyed themselves (they especially appreciated the sausage we were given for them at breakfast)
This is a nice hotel. Has a good heater (we didn't feel any cold in December while indoors ). Has warm water, decent wifi speed , comfortable bed. With ample number of pillows. Has good breakfast both cereals and cooked. Yes the building is old but well maintained. Parking is limited but manageable as it's free in night time on sea front. Staff is very good and helpful.
We were met by a friendly gentleman who booked us in even though we were early. The room had a sea view to the right and overlooked Starbucks which wasn't a problem as it was comfortable. The hotel is in a good central position for shops and the seafront. We spent 2 nights at The Broadway and would go back again.
spent a night here recently excellent choice.Central location, very friendly and helpful host comfortable room if a little warm!!Sea view, on the main street but double glazing kept noise to a minimum. Excellent breakfast, I am gluten intolerant and there was cereal available and acceptable main course choices. Would definitely stay again.
I stayed for 1 night and have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Its 2 stars and price belies the fact that this is a very welcoming, comfortable and spacious hotel. Very close to the seafront and the station. If you are looking for a hotel with all mod cons and sharp edges this is not for you. However, if you are looking for a place with a bit of character you should (especially at the price) take a look.
