Great hotel! We love the location and feel to the gardens and pool area

We visited at the end of May and the hotel was very quiet as it wasn't during busy season. The grounds are perfectly manicured. The pool is a great size for cooling off and the bed cabanas by the pool are amazing to relax, read a book, or just take a nap. The room was clean and spacious and in the bathroom they provide great freebies/amenities. There is also a great easy walkway from the hotel to the main street along the beach in addition to our own private gated hotel garden with lawn chairs right at the beach. So you can easily have relaxing day hanging at the beach and then go back to the hotel pool to hang out later in the day or vice versa. We also had a complimentary breakfast each morning with great options to choose from. The breakfast food was good. Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples. We booked a 80 minute couples massage which included a facial. It was done in a cabana by the pool and the experience was amazing.

Easy access to the beach, great restaurant and poolside relaxing. Massage therapists on-site were among the best I've ever experienced. Hotel staff were adept at setting up excursions. We took part in scuba, hiking and sailing. Awesome overall vacation and the hotel made the trip.

I have lived in Costa Rica for almost 5 years and this has to be the best place I have ever stayed. Now, our room wasn't ready for our check-in by 3pm (had to wait about an hour), but everything, and I mean, everything, was in order. Their food/restaurant was the best. I have eaten all over Costa Rica and by far they have the best food I have ever eaten. The breakfast was full of choices and very good and fresh, dinner were spectacular. In fact, Tamarindo has many choices for restaurants and we chose to eat here every night. This hotel isn't on the beach, it is just a short walk down a path and across the street. To be honest, when in Tamarindo you really do not want to be right on the beach.....too many people and traffic noise. This place was perfectly secluded and very quiet in proximity to the beach. They have a sister resort across the street (on the beach) and you have full access to that facility and everything can be billed to your room from there. I will stay there every time I go to Tamarindo.

Great staff, beautiful hotel but beware, they are drilling all day long so its impossible to use the pool or onsite facilities due to the loud works going on. We complained on the first and last day but the manager refused to do anything. Very expensive considering the inconvenient but would be the perfect hotel without the construction.

The hotel was wonderful. Staff was so nice and helpful. Location close enough to town to walk everywhere but quiet and out of the late night noise. Will go back!

We tayed one night. Room was clean and the hotel itself was in a great location. Very clean with some rather pretty grounds. Id stay there again.

We stayed at the highest most room of the hotel and had a beautiful partial view of the ocean. The hotel is so tranquil and natural in that it feels like a hidden tropical garden. Delicious breakfast, the walk to the beach is so short and everything in town is accessible from restaurants, surf shops, and super markets. I highly recommend Mato's surf shop (next door to the hotel) for surfing lessons with Juan, as well they can arrange SUP trips with Nico. Falafel Bar and Green Papaya restaurants are delicious options for vegetarians and vegans (carnivores as well). We shopped for water and fruit in local supermarkets. Everything is but 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel. It is an amazing feeling to step through the hotel's gate from the bustle of the main street and the beach and be enveloped in green grounds and soothing music. The perfect respite from the heat of the beach.

Jardin del Eden Boutique Hotel exceeded my expectations! Staff at the hotel desk, restaurant & bar were friendly and responsive. I think they upgraded our room at no additional charge. It had a wonderful view, the balcony was great. The room was very clean and climate control worked perfectly. The breakfast included in the room price was excellent -- ordered off a menu rather than typical buffet -- open air restaurant was extremely pleasant. Sometimes saw monkeys in the trees. Pool was nice - no extra charge to use covered day beds by pool. Would recommend to anyone (just remember - no kids - adults only). Only a block walk to the main street and beach on a private path (gate security controlled). Private garden area with lawn chairs by the beach was shaded and very nice.

Hotel was very clean and nice. It is indeed a great value hotel. There is a short private walkway to the beach which is a quick walk. Overall, awesome hotel.

The location ( 100 meters from beach , 30 meters over see level ) is perfect....so much that this hotel..... have been buy ....by ...competitor.....(Tamarindo Diria ) this hotel is right on the beach ....3X room price . Both hotel ares very nice . I understand the acquisition I will return to that place ( probably it will cost twice....may be more ).

Jardin del Eden provided my boyfriend and I the perfect getaway. It was close enough to town yet far away enough that we felt we had our own little slice of paradise. Sadly, toward the end of out stay, we learned that the beachfront resort (Tamarindo Diria) bought out the hotel and it will be reconstructed as part of the resort. Nevertheless, great staff, great location, beautiful grounds! We will definitely be returning to Tamarindo.

We had a comfortable stay at this hotel. The grounds were great and the rooms are spread apart so there is no need to worry about noise. There is a private pathway that leads to the best beach we have ever been to. It's perfect for swimming, boogie boarding, and surfing. The tours lady was helpful. I will stay here again in the future. Only 4 stars because the restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner because of renovations that will be done soon.

beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, clean and REALLY comfortable rooms!!! can't say enough nice things about this wonderful gem!!! loved everything about it...it was just too short of a stay!

The check in staff and restaraunts/bar staff were incredible. Site said continental breakfast, was a full breakfast buffet. Great sops and restaurants and tamarin do beach in a very short walk.

We booked a regular room ($90/day) and stayed at the hotel for seven days. The room was very small (barely any space to put luggage), very basic with a tiny and what looked like a 20 year old TV (with most channels in Spanish only). We saw a few ants here and there, but not too many. On a positive side, we had an AC and a balcony. Fortunately, we barely spent anytime in the room so it's size and overall appeal didn't bother us too much. The hotel does offer bigger rooms (with several options to choose from depending how much you want to pay#. Hotel grounds are really nice- two pools, restaurant and a private walkway to the main road #which is right on the beach#. Room rate comes with breakfast which was great. Apparently the restaurant although located on the resort premises is separate from the hotel. We ate breakfast there every day #we loved it# and had lunch there once #good reasonably priced large portions). Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotels, would stay there again.

Probably the worst bed in any hotel in sixty years. No fridge, microwave, coffee or tea in room. Shower had to be hand held. Wireless only in lobby and restaurent. Two old computers in lobby but had to pay to use the junk. The pool was good and the breakfast was verry good. Would we stay there again? Never

We stayed for three nights and had a great time. The hotel is quiet and well appointed. The upgrade to ocean view was worth the extra charge. Pool area is a great place to relax after a day at the beach. Do NOT miss the hotel restaurant. The Filet's and the Jumbo Shrimp are to die for and very reasonably priced.

On the off season I was given a room with no view, even though the hotel was empty. maybe the reception people didn't like me or I looked like I didn't have the money to pay for the upgrade. But here is what the clincher was: I was traveling with two young children. When traveling with young children it is always nice to have a hot shower and a clean room. There was no hot water, and the room smelled like a hundred cans of bug spray were emptied into it. And even at that, there was still an army of ants, literally, crossing the room in search of food. If it hadn't been for some really good staff (except the person in reception who neglected to give me the upgraded room, even though I had asked for it!), this stay would have been miserable.

Very pleasant stay at Jardin del Eden Hotel. Excellent location in Tamarindo close to Playa Tamarindo (perfect for newbie surfers) and good restaurants and bars. Room was spacious and clean. Nice with both AC and fan. Hotel staff was nice, although could improve a bit on customer service, e.g. be more smiling, proactively helpful, etc. but this is a minor detail.
