Private beach area for relaxing but not for water sports due to rocks but just what we wanted, out of the hustle.

Great hotel and wonderful staff. Enjoyed sunset on beach. Road was very rough to access the hotel which made access a bit difficult for driving to town and other locations. The first day and a half we didn't have hot water but they did get that fixed when we pointed it out.

Great hotel and staff! Good proximity to the play Langosta beach.

Nice private beach, peaceful family atmosphere, experience monkeys early in the morning, staff is very helpful and accommodating. The facilities were great. If you are looking for something close to the town but secluded ... this it. I would stay here again!

Very good service and staff very helpful. Tropical pool area. Beach a bit rocky but beach in main town is sandy with good surf.

Incredible experience. The grounds were beautiful. The breakfast was exceptional. I couldn't speak more highly of the staff and service. Everything was so serene. You will not be disappointed.

The only negative about this resukt is that the beach has a lot of rocks. A short walk down and you have a beach for swimming. Otherwise this hotel is wonderful and close proximity to town.

The hotel was even better than we imagined. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as good as possible.

Everything was excellent from accommodations to food, all made most enjoyable by a tirelessly accommodating and friendly staff.

The hotel was great. Close proximity to downtown, easy to get in and out with taxi. Room was nice and clean. Staff very attentive.

We have never experienced such an accommodating and wonderful staff. We have no complaints about Cala Luna and highly recommend it as the place to stay in Costa Rica. The staff at the hotel helped us to set up all of our activities (horseback riding, paddle boarding, zip lining, a hike in the national park, a visit to the volcano, hot springs and waterfalls, etc) --everything went smoothly. Our trip to Costa Rica was incredible and we believe the main reason for that was because we stayed at Cala Luna. If we ever return to the Guanacaste Region, we would, without a doubt stay here again.

From the minute we arrived to the open air lobby, we knew we had made a perfect choice for a girles weekend getaway! The staff before and during our stay were all attentive and sweet and very forucsed on making our stay special. All of the "structures" on the property are open air - yoga studio, lobby, restaurant, and poolside bar. There are even daybeds arrianged under shade with overhead fans next to the pool /poolside lounge for a little escape from the sun; we loved hanging out here one afternoon when a short tropical storm rolled in for about an hour We awoke to the sound of monkeys in the trees having their breakfast and watched them as they swing along ignoring the humans! I would absolutely recommend staying here!!

Dear Eric and Dana, Thank you for taking the time to write a comment about your stay at Cala Luna. Langosta Beach is a secluded beach conformed with volcanic rocks, it offers the best place to relax and watch the perfect sunset. This is the place to enjoy the complementary sunset cocktails. Thank you!

Dear Jerry, Thank you for your comment! Cala Luna offers real tranquility as it’s located on the secluded Langosta Beach, 10 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo. A quick 2 minutes walk through the path and you are on the sand. The beach has many volcanic rocks and shells scattered along the shoreline and offers stunning sunsets. This is the place to enjoy your complimentary sunset cocktail. A 15 minute walk along the coast to Tamarindo is where you will find a great swimming beach and many restaurants. I hope you can visit us again!
