Clean room, suite actually. Professionall stuff at reception. Wonderfull housekeeper.

Hotel loaned out snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, etc. for free. Pool was nice and view was amazing (!). Great location next to a few restaurants and a supermarket. Room had a nice terrace but was missing a table and chair. All staff members were friendly when approached. Loved my stay. On Fridays they organize a huge pool party so make sure you get a room far from the pool if you are not planning to join the party. We were in the furthest room and barely heard anything.

Our room was small but clean. Good food. Lovely view of the ocean. We would stay there again.

Hotel overall was great very friendly and it was exactly what I was looking for. Thanx to the stuff for being so friendly and awesome.definately coming back.

By Costa Rica standards this hotel is great especially for the value. Clean rooms and the ocean view on the balconies are beautiful. The property was well maintained and above average medium-larger sized pool. good hotel for families. Not on the beach but pretty much next to it- About a block away. Continental breakfast was slightly above average.

It was a wonderful hotel. Beautiful views and a great pool. Easy beach access and easy walk to all the great dining shopping. They did host a loud pool party on Friday night. They did warn the guests and provide ear plugs. But we would still go again!

Over a period of 3 days we stayed in 3 different rooms. The first was their standard garden room. Cheap, for a reason. We paid a 50 percent premium to upgrade to a much larger 2 bed ocean view room. This room was a huge improvement. Unfortunately, we needed to extend our stay one additional day and were forced to move again. This time we paid even more for what was billed as their surfer's apartment. A 2 bedroom, 1 bath freestanding building. We couldn't have gotten worse for our money. It was filthy! The air conditioner didn't work. The toilet wouldn't flush and the apartment reeked of mildew, leaving us both with sore throats and severe headaches by the next morning. All and all, an expensive and unpleasant stay. We would not return to this hotel.

I have to say that I appreciate very much the friendliness of the entire staff on the hotel from the front desk Maricruz and his assistant to the people of the restaurant make of my stay a very memorable experience. You got to love the Best Western Tamarido Vista Villas.

We had a great first trip to Costa Rica and overall a good time.

We had an amazing time at the Best Western Vista Villas! The location was perfect for us because we were a short walk across the street to the beach, and a short walk back when we were done surfing! We stayed in a room that had a partial ocean view, and the view was amazing. Our room was great for the two of us, but also great for a family with small kids who wouldn't mind sleeping in the living room area. We saved a lot of money having a kitchen to make lunches, but still enjoyed the nightlife and restaurants in Tamarindo. They also have a party Friday night that it seems the whole town comes to, we had a great time but if you are looking for a relaxing Friday night request a room farther away from the pool area. We also enjoyed the continental breakfast, there weren't hot options but we thought the crepes were great and had plenty of choices to fuel us for a long day of surfing. Not to mention the views from the pool/restaurant area were truly breath taking. One thing I noticed was that there were a lot of children at the pool most days. The staff was great!!! We came home from the beach everyday to a clean room, including having all of our dishes done for us which was an unexpected perk! I've stayed in Tamarindo at another place and we had issues with the shower going from hot to cold randomly, but not at the Best Western! We enjoyed nice long hot showers! Overall, this was a great option for people looking for an affordable place, without sacrificing location and great service!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Best Western Tamarindo Vista Villas. Our room was a Tropical Suite, room 301. The view to the beech from there is amazing, and it is only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The Villa was very clean and well equiped to be able to prepare your own food. You can also walk to the restaurants near by. My only very small complain is that the air conditioner in our room took a while to cool down, but once it finally worked it was fine. This room is also very close to the bar and I wouldn't recommend it if you have small children. Just pick a room further away. Other than that, it was very worth it for the money. Tamarindo beach is gorgeous.

The location is perfect, less then 5 minute walk to downtown, across the street from the beach. You do not hear the noise of down town. The service is very good, friendly, and they speak English. The downside is the rooms are very small.

We booked at the last minute and arrived early. Upon arrival our suite was ready and we were allowed to check-in early. Very pleased with the service. The continental breakfast was the best that I have ever had. Fresh tropical fruit, warm banana bread, mango juice, and of course Costa Rican coffee. We sat down just minutes before they were to close and ad plenty to eat and plenty of time to enjoy the wonderful ocean view !

Great room, staff and breakfast. Nice location in Tamarindo close enough to everything from nice resturants to great surfing.

I stayed at this hotel last week for a girl's getaway trip. The rooms were small, but clean. I had a fantastic view of the ocean from my balcony. The hotel also has free wifi, a nice swimming pool and friendly, helpful staff. This hotel is also very close to downtown Tamarindo and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. Their complimentary breakfast could be better (cake/toast and fruit), but overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again if I was working with a small budget.

nice place and beautiful time. only problem continental breakfast is not too good.

This place fit my idea of the perfect island condo with just the right amount of funky. We had a postcard view of the beach, loved the bar and patio complete with gorgeous sunsets. The beach offers plenty of variety with sections for surfers and strollers alike. Beach access is just across the street! Special recognition goes to Wendy at the front desk. She had taken the tours and gave us great advice while juggling phone calls and multiple guests. Two highlights of our visit were the trip to Nicaragua and fishing on the river with a local fisherman. We feasted on fish we caught that morning, expertly prepared and presented by Pacho, the hotel chef. I will never forget that. You will not find a better staff. Thanks also to Susanna, Sharom, Hazel and Gliel. We will be back!

Pleasant! Views were amazing! Staff and people there were very friendly!

The staff are amazing, the swim up bar is great, we are coming back michael and wendy.

The view from the pool is spectacular, great happy hour deals in the bar and the food was wonderful. New ac units in the rooms and flat screen tv's, good water pressure and lots of hot water. The hotels is also very close to town and the beach, you can walk anywhere in just a couple of minutes. However the best thing here is the staff and the owner, they are friendly, efficient and engaging and made me feel welcome from the second I came through the door, I will definitely be returning and would not hesitate to recommend it.
