Seashore Inn ... on the Beach

2.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

We have stayed here the past 3 years. Right on the beach. Staff friendly recent remodel to lobby and it looks amazing rooms need to be updated I would give them a 3 out of 5.

We had a great time. The hotel is on the beach, convenient, and walkable.

The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and it was nice that you could walk right out into the beach. They even had pails, shovels & kites to borrow for free use. However, the room seemed dirty from the moment we walked in. It appeared un-vacuumed and part of the rug was tattered which made it feel even less appealing. The indoor pool & spa was a nice feature but it too had an unclean fell to the pool room which made me feel uneasy about using the pool and spa.

Don't expect alot......it has beds and place to wash up.....fridge was cold and TV worked so that's good...plenty of pillows another bonus. Beachfront is main attraction. My place was on other side of parking lot from beach.....bit that's fine. Took and extra minute walk. Staff was really nice even though I tried to check on early but didn't get my room until an hour after I was supposed too.........

The room was adequate and clean. It does need updating and air conditioning would be nice. The biggest benefit was it's location to the arcades.

Only thing I can say good about this place is it right on the beach besides that I guess you get what you pay for!

This hotel was by far the worst part about our trip. The pictures we saw before making the reservation were completely misleading. The place was very old and run down! It looked like it hasn't been updated or remolded in 20+ years. The sign was all rusty, lobby was extremely small with a semi friendly staff. We get a non ocean view in a sectional of rooms across the parking lot. We get to the room, its all stuffy and scuzzy. The carpet was very dirty and worn down where we didn't even feel comfortable to walk around barefoot. There was no A/C, just an old fan. The room was on the corner so when we opened the windows there was just a parking lot, and zero privacy. They advertised free internet, in which there password wasn't working so no internet. The continental breakfast was very cheaply done with only muffins, bagels and old fruit. I tried to call customer service about the room and they only offered another room for $50 more per night, because it was peak season and that was their only option. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you are trying to have a romantic getaway!

If you're going to the beach in Seaside, OR the location of this hotel is great, it's right on the beach. But, it is an older, tired property in need of updating. It would be a good choice for a family with kids watching their budget.

the room had a real bad musky Oder in there and it looked like tooth paste on the in side of the bathroom door the Wi-Fi was terrible half the time it wouldn't connect the shampoo was used it was half empty over all it could have been better

The hotel was older but it was decent. When I arrived for check in the staff was not happy to find out I had a 5 month old, 2 year old, 5 year old and an 8 year old. They said that made us be over the room limit. So they would have to lie to the computer about how many people were in the room because it wouldn't allow that many. I wouldn't call the conntenental breakfast much of a breakfast. They do the absolute minimum to get away with calling it a breakfast. And everyone in your room including small children have to have a punch card to get their food. The location was great. I would only recommend the hotel because of the great location.

I found that the carpet needs to be cleaned...but other than that i find the quality for the price was great.

I decided to plan a last-minute winter getaway with my 8-year-old son. This was the perfect place for a quick trip to the beach before he goes back to school (and I go back to work!) We have never stayed right on the beach before, but this was a very affordable option, with it being a mid-week winter visit. The décor was very old-school, but the bed was comfortable and the wireless internet was reliable. We spent the entire visit going back and forth from the ocean to the hot tub. The continental breakfast was limited but serviceable. The staff was very courteous, great customer service! We got there more than an hour before the check-in time, but they let us into our room anyway. There were DVDs available to rent, and sand toys to borrow in the office. If you want a no-frills hotel right on the beach, this is your place!

We arrived at the hotel early, and the staff was more than happy to let us check in early. The continental breakfast was just that. The pool and spa area was clean and well taken care of. The location was perfect for what we were looking for. We were close to shops, dinning, and the aquarium. For an older hotel, the rooms were clean but a little dated. I would and will stay at this hotel again.

Older hotel right on the beach. The staff was indifferent and seemed to be more interested in what was on t.v. Room was small, even though it was a "deluxe" and when we entered it was about 80 degrees and very stuffy had to turn the thermostat off and air out the room. Bathroom was also small and the exhaust fan did not work, only two bath towel's provided even though there were two adults staying in the unit. The view of the ocean was great although the location on the first floor gave the frequent pedestrians a good view of us in the room as well, I would suggest asking for a second or third floor room instead. We did not try the free breakfast.

Only third story rooms had balconies. We could only get a second story room. We would have loved a balcony. Otherwise, the view was awesome. It is close to everything, but just enough out of the way to avoid being overly noisy. Small hotel, felt more relaxed. For the price, however, the breakfast could have been better. We have stayed in cheaper hotels that provided buffet breakfasts with much better selections.

Friendly staff. Nice rooms with fridge and microwave and TV/DVD. Right on the beach with the best view. Only mild complaint would be needing a bit more ventilation during humid days. Pool was nice and the dry sauna felt great after a morning of biking.

Good time, on our honeymoon. one day of bad housekeeping

Staff allowed a late check-in (after midnight). When we got to the room there was a strong, terrible smell. Since it was late we tried to sleep anyway, but couldn't because the stench was just too bad. We asked the manager to try to remove it, but later that afternoon we went back and it was just as bad, so we forfeited our paid night and stayed somewhere else. The shower was new, but the rest of the room was old and needed updating, and we were in one of their best "deluxe" rooms. The free breakfast was mediocre. They have a great location and view though, so if you don't mind staying in a run-down room that stinks, then this place is for you.

The room was pretty good size but the shower seemed cramped. After showering or after sleeping all night, the windows were covered with condensation, thus hindering an otherwise great view of the ocean. The free continental breakfast was so so. There were no hot items except coffee. But we did not go there for the breakfast so no biggie.

The Seashore was very clean, comfortable. And for me the most important was the gorgeous view from the beach, I did love to stay there....
