I really didn't expect much when booking a Comfort Inn, but it was surprisingly nice. The check in staff was extremely quick and friendly, the room was cozy with a fireplace and a lovely view of the river. The only thing I didn't like about the room was that the balcony off the room had an extremely bright light on it that stayed on all night. I assume this is for safety which is fine, but then the door to the balcony needs a blackout curtain over it as the light shone in the room quite brightly through the blinds they have over the door.

We love the location here. No beach view but it's right in the heart of the downtown on the river. The hotel is newer and well cared for. The rooms are clean and cozy. The continental breakfast is very impressive. We have stayed here a few times and will definitely be going back.

Very friendly staff, we were missing coffee maker component in the morning and they delivered it to the room very quickly.

This hotel has seen some heavy traffic lately. The halls, breakfast area, and lobby are all looking a little shabby. Our whole room room stunk like unwashed bodies--particularly in the bathroom--but the sheets and towels were clean. I pre-paid when I booked through Orbitz, but I was charged again on my credit card when checking in. I flagged this as I checked in, and again when I checked out. I then followed up with an email to the manager, who initiated a refund for the second charge.

With the hotel on Seaside's main street of shops, restaurants, bars, and games for kids, it makes for a great home base for the entire family. My family was also very pleased with the hotel staff, who were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint regarding the hotel and our room was that we were unable to turn off the light on our riverside balcony. This resulted in a bright light piercing into our hotel room during the night, which made it a little difficult for us to sleep.

Location notwithstanding, the room was nowhere near worth the price. To begin with, the windows were filthy and had to be cleaned so we could see out of them....It looked like a dog had gone crazy with its nose and paws. Secondly, there was no shade from the light on the patio that stays on all night. That same lack of shade also ensures that there is no escape from the sun blasting into the room (east facing balcony...Couldn't have slept in had we even tried). Third, in order to use the bathroom, you had to activate a fan that was so loud, it sounded like a jake-braking truck coming down a very long hill. As for the hotel in general, the main stairways in the building had nasty carpet and were just generally gross. The staff was doing their best to be helpful, but they were clearly overworked and a bit flustered. We have been to many hotels in Seaside but this was our first time at this one and this was the first time we have ever been so compelled to complain about a hotel.

Got to hotel 3 hours early, no problem with early check in. Staff was very nice. Room was clean. Bathroom extra small. Short toilet and tub. Bed was not great to sleep on. Internet-website claims there was a "wired high speed internet", not so. Only Wi-Fi. But, the connection was good at all times. Once I had a slow connection. So I was happy with the internet. View was ok. River view with a small balcony. Peaceful at least. Not too much noise. Breakfast was scrambled eggs and sausage for two days, then a cheese omelet for the third day. Not bad, simple. I would stay again when I return to Seaside. Worth it.

Hotel staff was excellent. Breakfast was better then the average hotel breakfast and included scrambled eggs, link sausage, sausage & biscuits, the usual waffles, cold & hot cereal, coffee and juices. Pool is very small, didin't use it but would be okay for kids. We had a large room with fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and a balcony over looking the river. Very nice room. Carpeting in the hallways was very dirty and stained but the rooms seemed ok. They do allow pets and occasionaly we would get the 'wet dog' smell. Overall I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. Thanks for a fun three days. Great location right on the main strip in Seaside.

I requested Cannon Beach. My confirmation was Cannon Beach and the Hotel was very expensive $438.78 but worth it because to my knowledge it was on Cannon Beach. It turned out to be on Seaside Beach 8 miles down the road. The hotel was as above not worth the price. I did ask the desk clerk what the rooms were per night, she replied to me and my fellow traveler was a witness, that the rooms were $189 but I probably got the $150.00 per night price. That didn't help our disenchantment. The fan in the bathroom was horribly loud and we asked for it to be repaired and they turned it off. We were so dissapointed. The cleaning of the room was slipshod bedmade period.

We had a view with a balcony, river and a little wood dock. It was priceless.. althogh, we did pay a good price for that.

Although breakfast was not the best the room was very nice and the stay was all around very good.

Always a good value to stay here. Close to every thing you would want to see and do.

very convenient location, on main strip, three blocks to beach.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and location was convenient.

Excellent location, very clean room with modern amenities.

The room was just ok, nothing special. It was much too expensive for what you actually recieved.

comfortable and relaxing. Great breakfast

showed up was asked for my mastercard (ordered my room with a visa) after letting her know i did not use master card she asked me to re-book with a new visa, i did..the day we checked out they asked for my credit card again, i asked about the mastercard mix up the lady said "oh nevermind i dont need your card then, we must have already charged you through a mastercard merchant card, from [...]" wondering how many times i was charged for this [*] room...got to the room expecting a lake view, instead looked out the balcony to view a slough..speaking of the balcony how do you turn the bright light off? there was no switch and it stayed on all night, the TV was very small and out dated, was hoping to go hit the swimming pool and sauna when we went downstairs the sauna was broken and the pool was the smallest i have ever seen.overall i would never stay there again unless it was for free, and even then i doubt it.for $110 i would of atleast liked to recieve the supposed free breakfast, which for some reason they closed the "buffet" at 9:50, instead of the 10:00 time set..

Very positive experience

For Example no bacon , ham , or sausage with breakfast ,or fruit. For what the hotel was charging. Bath room fan too noisey. Television could use some upgrading. Only one coffee mug.
