The hospitality is too good, the staff and amenities so provided are at par.............The Sea Pearl Restaurant specially Mr. Philip, looks like a great host, soft spoken, delicious food that too of our choice. There is no problem even during rainy days u can enjoy your days in their Gym, Swimming Pool, Spa or certain indoor activities/games with the kids................even during midnight they can provide food/milk round the clock so that no tension for your kids also Thanks to Mr. Philip and other staff of Sandal Wood. God bless you all..............
I stayed at this hotel last Feb. staffs were good, hotel was quiet and good place for relaxation, the hotel location is far from city crowds, so in order to buying your things you must take a taxi. Breakfast and other services were good. The only drawback that I can mention here was awful Wifi speed. It is something that you can’t tolerate with. If you want to go to this hotel you should accept this and bite the bullet !
The hotel is situated in Dona Paula about 7-8 kms. away from Panjim city. The area around is rich, clean and quiet. The hotel provides free service of drop to Panjim city. The hotel is as good as a four star hotel with beach just 5 minutes walk. It has a neat and clean medium size swimming pool. The staff at reception and housekeeping is kind, courteous and helpful with prompt service. The restaurant is special with Philips being there, always ready to serve dishes out of the menu card. Philips the captain of the restaurant is a charismatic personality taking extra care of his hotel guests. Food is hygienic, delicious with appropriate spices. Service is a bit slow since they make food after order. Better to order from room. Buffet breakfast served complimentary has a lot of variety for all. The hotel has maintained excellent garden with variety of plants/trees all around. We stayed in a suite which was excellent as per our expectations. Shower gel may be changed with better fragrance gel. Prices of Tawa/Tandoor chapatis are on higher side, could be reduced. More light required at the swimming pool. The shower at swimming pool showers water everywhere except your body, needs replacement. A soap dispenser needs to be fixed in the swimming pool bathroom so that guest doesn't need to take bath after going to room. The SPA towels should not be used for swimming pool, fresh towels should be used. There is carom board and table tennis facility to play. Free wifi available but speed poor at times. Overall a very good hotel in the price range. My family is extremely satisfied.
It was too good. Food was awesome. And hospitality was good. Planning same Hotel For Next time. Restaurant supervisor Phillip helpfull with dishes. Rooms were good.vainginium beach nearby. Too peaceful here because of the nearby residential area.
We have stayed in Sandalwood at least 4 to 5 times whenever we visited Goa. That is the place we think matches our requirement... Their food especially the breakfast is awesome. Rooms are brighter and take any room you tend to have a good view. Panjim is close by, we love to go to old Goa and special d some time there and this place is convenient in that way too.
I visited with my family in June 2017. Had booked 2 Rooms. One of the rooms got auto upgraded to Suite. Restaurant food - vegetarian Jain was very good and tasty. Complimentary bus service to Panaji city is good and useful. Access to Private Beach next to the Hotel is key attraction. The beach also has well maintained garden where Senior citizens can spend quality time. Swimming pool, Indoor games are key attractions for kids and young. Service of restaurant and front desk is prompt and quality focussed. Very good experience.
Travelled with kids. Excellent location - has a beautiful private beach, with well developed waterfront - makes for an excellent morning/evening stroll. Beautiful swimming pool and a garden. Interestingly, has a Casino at just 3 mins walk. It is 5 kms from Panjim market - but they do provide shuttles for those interested. Special mention about Philip, hotel manager, who personally caters to guest requests. We were skeptical about getting Jain food in Goa, but thanks to Philip and hotel staff, had a real good time!
just an awesome place to stay at Goa with all the best facilities around. The location a of the Hotel was also in a standard area. The rooms of the Hotel were also very clean. The staff of the Hotel were very cooperative. We had a great time talking Mr.Anand Paul & Mr.Dilip Jankar and were always ready to give guidence every time.other members like Sanjay Rai, Pradeep Gawas etc were also very helpful....
Stayed at the start of May - booked for 2 nights but stayed for 5! Enjoyed this hotel, the room was clean, well equipped with tea & coffee making facilities, a/c and fan, bottled water, free wifi, good choice of tv channels and a nice balcony. The staff were very helpful and friendly and when I needed to print out airline tickets etc there was no problem. The swimming pool was clean and the loungers around it very comfortable. It is a couple of minutes walk to the beach and there is a section of the beach with loungers, towels and security for hotel guests. It is an uncrowded small beach. The hotel has a daily shuttle at 10.30am into Panjim but you have to let them know the day before that you want to avail of it. This returns to the hotel at 12.30pm. There is also a shuttle to Dona Paula at 5pm (nice to go see the sunset). To go to Panjim in the evening you had to get a taxi from the travel desk which cost 400 rupee before 7pm and 500 rupee after 7pm. We never had a problem getting a tuctuc back to the hotel from Panjim at nighttime and it usually cost 300 rupee. There was a good breakfast selection at the buffet. Would recommend this hotel.
Sandalwood is home away from home. One of the best places to be in the North of Goa. Clean accommodation , friendly staff and delicious food served at the restaurants. Rooms are equipped with tea coffee maker. The beach is very close to the hotel , with beach beds for the hotel guests and proper security.
