After a five hour flight, we got to the hotel and immediately fell asleep. Thirty minutes later we woke up to bed bugs bite all over our body. My son got it worst and had it all over his leg. Do yourself a favor and stay away! It is not worth it!

Stayed one night. Construction, night shift tried to enter my room by mistake. Noise theoughout the night. Spiders in corner of bathroom. Beetle in the fridge. The room was not ready for me to stay in.

Very dirty and dingy! Will no go there again Very cheap

The hotel itself wasn't the prettiest from the outside. My room was clean & the heating system worked excellent. cleaning services were very consistent and I always had extra clean towels. The bed was a little firm and there was one broken drawer, but for the price I'd say it was a great stay. I didn't see a single bug or ant in my whole week stay so that's a good sign

Although the staff was great there were some issues with the appearance of the restroom and some areas that needed minor repairs. But for the price it was a good choice.

We arrived Thursday at 530 pm, one person was ahead of us and check in still took 20 min. We were not given the room we booked but were given one on first floor so it was easier for my father to get into. The door stuck on initial entry to the room, the room itself was pretty small with 2 double beds, a table 3 chairs, dresser, desk, and nightstand and a27 inch tube TV. I took my own coffee maker because I had read reviews prior to going (but not prior to booking, I should have) , the fridge was not even plugged in so that took a while to cool once I plugged it in. The room was at least cool and didn't stink, yet.......One of the staff was in the room next to us messing with a drain so I was worried we would have problems with ours as well, but we didn't. We left and went to dinner. When we got back and opened the door all you could smell was sewer gas. We had to leave the door open and fan on in bathroom for hours to get rid of the odor, they had no other rooms. The bathroom was small, you would get in your own way trying to turn around. The floors were sticky. Behind all the furniture hadn't been swept in weeks. There was paint and mildew on everything. Not a great place. The continental breakfast was a joke consisting a small amount of cereal and stale pastries. The Navy recruits are not supposed to be there or the restaurant ( Flanagan's)that is adjacent to the motel. The only way I would stay there is if that was the only place I could find and only overnight one night.

The door sticks, hard to open. Smell so bad with smoke, even though it says no smoking room. No hangers to hang your clothes, the sink doesn't drain. We called the front desk about the these problem, but nothing happen so instead of staying another night, we checked out the next day. My daughter was scared to take a shower in that place. Not a good feeling to be scared staying in your room.

We did not know a lot about the Hotel but turned out to be great. Is close to Navy Boot camp. Will stay again>>>

We were in Great Lakes for our son's graduation from Navy Recruit Training. Discovered upon arrival that the Navy discourages Recruits from being on this property due to its reputation for drugs and prostitution. Needless to say, we checked out of this dump and found a nice motel nearby.

The hotel served it purpose. It is very close to the Navel base. Continental breakfast was nice. I would recommend it based solely on location.

I knew not to expect much for $50 a night. It seriously! The first room looked like it was still lived in. Dirty towels were hanging on the cloths hangers, mold was everywhere in the shower and for a non smoking room it smelled like a full ashtray. After not excepting to have the cleaning crew to fix the room I was given another. The new room had huge (what looked like human) stains on the sheets but was a bit better.

Close to everything but room sink was clogged and they only cleaned room one time but other then that all ok

It wasnt bad the staff was doing some renovating but it didn't bother me nor could I hear it. The hotel was cheap and very close to the etc at great lakes and there's a car rental place right next to it so if your not interested in the shuttle or taxi which I paid $200 out of pocket to go around you could save more at a rental it was a good experience

The room was average but you could hear every move the people upstairs made. This made it a non-sleep night. there also seem to be quite a bit of noise outside during the night.

Ok if you have a tight budget and just want to find a place to sleep

I was pretty disappointed, when we arrived after 10pm, the owner said our room was not clean and upgraded us to a whirlpool suite. Room was old, dirty, no hair dryer, no conditioner for your hair, fridge smelled bad, TV was an old 19 inch box TV. They are doing some renovations to the hotel so I can hope it gets better. Hotel breakfast was sad, food was on paper plates or aluminum foil, was not professional at all. Orange juice was gross. Staff was nice but could not offer a hair dryer or conditioner to use. they only have shampoo which is super weird. I guess I am spoiled from staying at Hyatt and Marriott.

Check in was alright. Got to the room and my children quickly noticed that the remote for the tv was broken n didn't have any batteries. The floor was all wet about a 6 foot radius around the refrigerator and in the bathroom there wasn't even a holder on the wall for the toilet paper. I called the front desk n the maintanence came about 30 mins later. He was in and out 3 times before he suggested to the front desk that they change us to another room

The room was dirty and had paint chipping off. The staff was rude. The location was perfect though, it was close to the metra and gurnee mills.

This is a great location and good price if you are going to a navy graduation only 5 mintues from the actual base.
