I booked my room on short notice in the heart of downtown Norfolk. Plenty of parking. Big hotel. The room was huge and clean. It was a great price.

Not a great part of town, but close to better parts of town. A bit run down. Overpriced.

Very rude staff. We had to change rooms due to water soaked carpet. Rooms were dated, paint peeling off the walls and the beds were not comfortable. Very poor experience. We tried to get our money back and leave so we could stay somewhere else but their cancellation policy had to be 72 hours in advance. We will never be back.

The area is kind of ugly, the hotel looks ok from the outside and the lobby too, but the rooms are disgustingly dirty. I had to put a towel in the bathtub because it was very dirty. The microwave didn't even work, and when you plug anything on the outlets are so loose that you need to keep connecting the electronics. Very disappointing, I would never be back.

This hotel was nice and very close to everything due to it's central downtown location.

We visited from South Florida to visit our daughter stationed in Norfolk in the Navy. Other than our last night there, it was easy access to everywhere, clean with great staff. On our last night there, we did have a very noisy neighbor who decided to throw a party and his guests were extremely loud. Security was called and the guard did quiet the neighbor down after a couple phone calls to the front desk.

Very nice. Would recommend. Better than Marriott. Very comfortable

The hotel was clean and very beautiful on the inside. It was not in the best neighborhood but I did not have any problems.

I liked the hotel and the location. The staff was very nice. The heater in the room didn't really heat the room but was ok. The view from the room was incredible! Parking was good too.

We planned a last minute beach trip with our family. Wanted something that was going to decent at an affordable price. Assumed that because this was a large chain, that there would be expectations the hotel had to stand up to. WRONG. It started when the hotel did not have the correct room booked for us and went down hill from there. Upon trying to figure out what happened with our original reservation we were treated rudely by the front desk clerk. They kept cutting us of, implying that we booked our room incorrectly. We had the confirmation out and tried to show them, but they wanted no part. They kept referring to what their computer said, implying that I was lying or something. Because it was late and we had plans the next day, we gave up and took the room they gave us. When we went to the room, there was a dirty towel on the back of the bathroom door, hanging from a hook. Half the lights in the room were unplugged (odd). They claimed they had comfortable, adjustable beds however they too did not work. The paint on the walls were chipping. House keeping never came to change towels or provide fresh linen either. Just whole experience was just upsetting, especially when my parents have a time share with wyndham and we have never experienced this service before.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself wasn't the best I've ever stayed in, but it did the job. The building itself was rundown and not in the best condition. The location was good, close to downtown Norfolk and a quick ride to the Water front. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience.

Very nice hotel, i got to relax and enjoy my king bed with little to no noise, the services were great! Good location and overall great stay. I would recommend this hotel to anybody!

I called before my arrival to confirm that room service was available and was assured it was. When I got to my room there was no menu. After some time, someone brought me a menu. When I called to place my order there was no answer. I called the front desk and the attendant was also not able to reach room service. Eventually the room service person called me back and took my order. All in all it took almost two hours to get my dinner. Also, when I checked in at night after a long day, the front desk printer was not working so checking in took a long time. Then, I had to go back quite a distance out to my car because they insisted I get the details on my rental car and place a parking ticket on my dash. Upon receiving my pre check out invoice, I saw that my room which had been prepaid by my company was placed as a double charge on my personal credit card. The gentelman working at that time was pleasant and apologetic and did quickly make the correction, but had I not reviewed the invoice, I would have been doubly charged. It was not that the staff was not pleasant, they were, but the service was quite lacking. Perhaps they were understaffed? If I were to recommend, it would be due to the nice facility and the great location with a disclaimer about the service.

The bed didn't work!!!! Worst sleep ever! Great location and staff was very helpful!

No wifi ! Paid, $103 for one night & plus 10 for parking , the staff was not helpful at all with this after trying for an hour to use my laptop , Never going there again ,

This hotel was not a bad place to stay for an affordable price. There were a few things that could have been better. The hotel had a modern retro decor which was nice. The lobby and hallways were hot, it seemed like the AC was off in these areas and the elevator was very slow....u cant just hop on the elevator and go, u will have to wait a few min each time.

Rooms floor was soaked, paint chipping off the ceiling, none of the vending machines worked ....

Very nice hotel, staff was great location was good, nice pool, but after we checked in and went up to our room the door to the room was wide open,we waited for housekeeping to show up,they didnt so we went in and looked around and ot was fine....it was later in the night around 1am when going to the bathroom the floor was soaked....puddle of water at the door entrance under the carpet, none of the vending machines worked on any floor and we had paint chips falling onto our luggage ....they need to do a updating

Looks impressive rising above Norfolk but the hotel is in desperate need of a major overhaul. There was nothing special about our room except for all the things that didn't work. Bathroom shower sprayed water everywhere but on the person taking the shower so our towels and ceiling were wet; electric outlets barely held a plug in place; water from somewhere was creeping in our room door so you had to walk over wet mushy carpet to get into the bathroom; hole in the wall by the air conditioner; sleep number remotes didn't work well; closet area outside bathroom was enormous waste of space - put a mirror in there so I could at least do my hair and makeup; restaurant menu was very limited and no staff to great us when we walked in so we went somewhere else; pool looked foggy. One little bottle of lotion and the worst shampoo I have ever used in my life, two bars of soap were the only amenities offered. Air conditioner in room ran all night and refrigerator made a high pitched hum all night.

Besides the fact that I wasn't able to check in on the time I was supposed to the hotel was very understanding and made sure that I was going to be comfortable during my stay.
