I read the negative comments and I was expecting for something bad but it wasn't. The staff was nice and helpful. I was there with my family and pet and the rooms were clean, AC was working very good. It looks safe for families, the pool is okay, they were taking care of it. Parking was fine. There is a clean and calm beach just one block from the hotel, but the side where the Neptune Park is the best and it is like 15 minutes away. You can find parking there too, $5 or $10 per day. The only negative, the included breakfast, it was just coffee, muffins, mini bagels and only one cushion for seat. We drank a cup of coffee and went to Dunkin Donuts.

Close to beach however Air conditioner broken. They never cleaned room entire week. Merely brought in new towels. Pool is nonexistent. Would not stay again.

Upon walking into the room, there was trash on the floor that was readily noticeable. The blanket had cigarette burn marks. The bathtub had sand. Overall, the hotel is in a nice location where everything is in walking proximity (beach, grocery, restaurants)

The second day we were there. We had the money stolen out our wallets while we were at the beach. The staff come in to clean the room and when through our belonging and stole the cash out our wallets. I told the general manager and he said he would take care of it. He did nothing. It ruined the rest of the time we were there. I had to pack our stuff up everyday when we went some were and leave it in the car.

We had a bonus day at the end of our vacation and wanted to get on the beach one more time. All the other Virginia Beach oceanfront hotels were booked and too expensive. The Travelodge was the perfect alternative. The beach is a very short walk and is right on Chesapeake Bay - it was delightful and friendly. The Innkeepers couldn't have been nicer at both check-in and check-out. The property is older but it offers everything you need for an overnight stay. Most surprising was the comfort of the bed! It was great - didn't want to get out of it. Morning breakfast was a bonus. We were very pleased and would stay again if in the area!

Pictures online outline what you will be receiving. The walls in the room were filthy, toilet rocked, over all not clean. Will not be staying at this hotel again.

I knew this hotel was near the ocean but figured it would be a decent walk to get there, but you can literally take a 5minute walk and be on the beach!!!! It's pet friendly and less crowded then the tourist part of Virginia beach by the boardwalk

If was cheap and the beach was just a few blocks away. I actually enjoyed my stay

nice for a motel and right on shore drive, which was convenient for us.

Very professional & polite staff...decent location within a short walk to a nice beach

The hotel was clean for the most part. Had to travel 15 mins to any shops or dining. Short walk to a "oceanfront" in the bay. overall ok for the money.

loud street and wind noise all night. Bed was hard, but the pillow was perfect. Located close enough to local attractions that you can drive. McDonald's is down the street and a good pizza restaurant is in walking distance.

I lived in this joint for one night and it was one of the ugliest joints I have ever been to. In the room there were only towels and soap, that's it. No toothpaste, toothbrushes and no extra pillows. The bathroom tank was leaking. The sink was not allowing water to flow down. The aircon was/is noisy and the cover can be removed if not careful when trying to switch on the cold air. Ah, also, it was so noisy since I was in room 201 which was just next to a "disco" just next door. You can imagine how hard it was to sleep. It was not even worth half the money I paid. I am simply DISAPPOINTED!

While spending a quick weekend at VA Beach, I'm not overly picky about where I stay. I just ask that there not be large, disgusting stains on the sheets. I can deal with the "continental breakfast" consisting of a banana and a coffee maker, the poor paint job and cracks in the walls/ceiling, the lack of parking, the mold in the bathroom, and the screaming coming from the other rooms. But the stains on the sheets were just too much. It looked like someone had a paintball fight with milk pellets. The room was worth about what you'd expect for $25 a night, but not for the $95 that I paid. Stay anywhere else. Sleep on the beach and shower in the ocean--you'll feel just as clean.

Room was clean and comfortable. Walking distance to the bay. Close to bar so around 2 a.m. had people outside talking and laughing.

My son and I went the beach for a few days. This hotel was clean and seemed to be in a safe location. There didnt seem to be a whole lot of noise which was great for a few days getaway. I might stay here again given the above facts...however, the room was really small and the air conditioner was really noisy. I asked for it to be worked on, but I guess there was just nothing they could do about the noise. The hotel staff was very nice though and as I said before, the hotel was very clean.

The location was really great, the staff was very friendly and pleasant. The hotel wasn't very clean, the price for 3 nights was a really great price, I guess you can't have everything. If nothing else was available I would stay there again.

The Travelodge rooms and look is overall what you expect based on the pictures you see online. Nothing much too look at with no extra frills. But what males this place worthwile are the staff and location. We only stayed there for 3 days and after our next morning the staff knew us by name, and greeted us so. As far as location it is 2 blocks away from the beach and steps from 5 different bars/restaurants. Which unfortunately is also what gives it the parking situation. Many cars end up parking in the hotel's parking lot taking up what little there is for the guests. The rooms are small and nothing great but clean and comfy. All together though a very nice/convenient/restful experience.

The room was smaller, the rug was worn and torn the comode leaked but the staff were extremely pleasant. I am not used to staying in a room that was as dated as this one. We went to the beach and shopped attended an art festival and met with relatives.

Room was clean and staff very friendly, 3 minute walk to beach, 20 min. drive to boardwalk, for the price the hotel was fine. It is a clean place to lay your head. There is a grocercy store a few blocks away, lots of resturants.
