Nice breakfast provided every morning. Staff was very accommodating. Housekeeping was always done when returned to our room.

on the curtains..blood or they said it was ketchup. never replaced cups that were used. pool was dirty. band aids floating getting off the elevator, someone ha left a baggage mover in front of the doors, and my son tripped over it . hurting his knees and forehead. in the hallway there is "something" on the rug..looks like vomit that was half cleaned up.

Avery comfortable bed, a desk fr laptop set up, and a fridge and microwave made the somewhat extended stay very pleasant and relaxing. Breakfast allowed guests to fuel up before a busy day.

Upon check in we found that the front desk staff was rude because we booked through Orbitz and not them. Any problem we had we were told to call Orbitz. We had to step across dog crap in the hallway to get to our room. Also noticed the carpet on every corner was pee stained. Dogs barking all night. Room was nasty enough I would not eat in there. Bathroom had black mold along tub line. Desk chair was broken so it would not raise high enough to use the desk. Floor was not vacuumed well, and we never found the pillow top mattresses they had advertised. Would not eat the continental breakfast due to the sanitary condition's because everyone had to bring a dog down with them

Our stay there was for only one night but was very pleasant. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean.

Overall nice hotel, not fancy but for the price it was nice. I would stay again

Staff was OK at the front desk but it went downhill from there. This is not a clean hotel but great for a quick stay. Don't expect much. A place to sleep/shower after running around the tidewater area.

Overall trip was great experience. Great family weekend getaway. Close enough to beach to travel and still save on cost of room and not very far from all the shops that we wanted to visit while there.

The hotel room was super dirty. The bathroom was covered in human hair, the carpets covered in a layer of dog hair so bad that u had to get a towel to clean my feet every time I got into bed. It was gross. Staff was friendly enough, continental breakfast existed but the hours for it were short. Bed was surprisingly comfortable.

I found this hotel to be very clean and enjoyed the centralized location.

I was in a room with and unusually small restroom, maybe because of the corner room. The linens were clean but worn out. The room was smelly, I requested for a room change but could not get a room change as the whole hotel was packed. Internet connection on the corner room was non-existent. I could not connect. Otherwise the staff was courteous and even gave us a fresh set of Linens and also gave us a discount for the inconvenience. In all an average hotel.

We needed this hotel for a lacrosse tournament. We arrived Friday night and our sons games were at 8 am Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast on the weekends don't start till 7. Being that we had to drive to the fields and be there 45 mins early we were unable to get breakfast at the hotel. I went down to the front desk about 6:30 to ask if I could get a few things early for my 2 boys (5 and 10) and was meet by a krepy staff member we kept rubbing his face and laughing saying "you can only have what he already put, you can only have what I've put out". Which was hard boiled eggs you couldn't peel. The bathroom was cramped to the point you had to straddle the toilet or get in the tub to shut the door. Over all if you can't find anything else I'd recommend another hotel.

Cheap room, decent beds lame breakfast, service was great except the fact that we had to go to the opposite end of the hotel to our room only to find that our keys didn't work and had to truck back to get new ones. And the thing that wasn't expected was being woken up by barking dogs right outside your door. I'm an animal lover and love the fact that you allow them, but maybe have a certain section for them. Just a thought.

I was very pleased with this hotel. Our room was clean and it had a very nice scent. The beds were very comfortable. The only I didn't like was the breakfast because we prefer scramble eggs instead of hardboiled... Also they claimed breakfast is from 8-10am but they start cleaning everything up around 9:15 even when ppl are coming down to get some bf there no more muffins nor any fruit... Overall our stay was very pleasant, we had a great time. Its relatively close to the beach and to different stores. Denny's is right next to it so that's a plus.

No staff present to check me in; had to wait 10 minutes for someone to show up when I was already very late for a rehearsal dinner due to airline problems. And then no apology. No lobby--you walk right into their breakfast room--therefore no place to use computer or sit comfortably. Breakfast meager and the same every day. Maid entered my room even though I had put the "do not disturb" sign on the door. I was very disappointed!

Staff was courteous. When we had a concern it was handled immediately. Close to the beach and shopping.

Very good price, excellent location and safe area.

The hotel was great for the price. The staff was wonderful. The location is perfect to get anywhere. Couldn't be happier.

This is neither the best nor worst hotel we have stayed at. We planned on staying at the La Quinta mostly just to sleep and shower between beach trips. We only had a 2 night stay, so we were pretty lenient with standards. Our room was neat and orderly and the two major complaints we had were that the shower only had cold and colder water in the mornings and that the toilet handle had to be pressed down for about 30 seconds to fully flush. As other reviewers have said, the walls are thin enough that you can hear everything going on in the hallway, and depending on who is one your floor this may affect your sleep. We are heavy sleepers, so it bother us all that much. I would also suggest taking a sweep of the room if you have small children, some of the sockets lacked covers in our room. The hotel does have a decent sized pool and an average continental breakfast. They served Waffles, bagels, muffins, fruit, hard boiled eggs, and cereal, with apple juice, orange juice, and coffee as drinks. There is also free wifi available all over the hotel. Overall, our stay was about average. There is nothing really remarkable about this La Quinta. I have stayed here and at the Red Roof Inn that is about a block away, and I would say the La Quinta edges them out, due to the breakfast, polite staff, pool, and wifi.

Thin walls; hot water got really hot randomly; mess in trash and at pool was left for two days; beach not as close as advertised; cable TV choices limited.
