I felt the subject hotel was an outdated cheap motel.
This was a terrible stay. homeless people living in back of hotel cooking out of mini barbecue . Felt very unsafe . They keep hotel guests in front to keep us blind. Was threatened by management and had one employee slam window on us because we asked for clean towels. Very rude and would consider never coming to Virginia just because of this place. Worth more money to go somewhere better!
Very uncomfortable soon as I seen in person asked if could just stay and only pay 1 night clerk was rude paidb2 nights event though I checked out next morn stayed 11 hours total!
My son and I where placed in smoking room, claimed as non smoking.
The hotel didn't have my reservation so I had to call to get them to fax a piece of paper. Then the hotel employee told me that's not what she needed, well that's not my problem. The air didn't work in the room.
My experience was horrible and vile. The room smelled of a very strong Indian sent that was sickening. The room was not clean, there was hair in the bathroom on the toilet and the tub. The hotel manager turned out to be the owner of the hotel and the full staff. There was no house keeping. I had a horrible 3 hours there. It was ridiculous. I could not sleep there. The owner was very rude and disgruntle. DO NO BOOK THIS HOTEL. We were very very displeased. And after we decided to leave.. they hotel manager said " did you mess anything up in the room" which indicated that the rooms are not properly cleaned or taken care of.
I guess you get what you pay for. The price was right in peak season, but the quality was bad. The rooms smelled of smoke, though non-smoking room. The walls were covered with wallpaper patched with drywall mud. The exterior door had a gapping crack. The air-conditioner could not keep up during the day. Ran out of ice in their machine. And worst of all, one of the 2 towels we were given had tears and holes in it. When we asked the front desk for more towels, she said they had none and to bring our 2 towels down in the morning and she would wash them for us to use again. We weren't the only guests complaining. Avoid this place.
When I checked in, I was not told how to find my room or greeted. Once I found my room, the room was unclean, there were hairs in the bathroom and when I took the bedsheets down, there were hairs in the sheets. The room smelled and was just not as clean as it could have been. One lamp had electrical tape on the cord where it plugs into the wall. There was no business center and I asked for a room with internet, but there was not any way for me to connect that I could find. I will not stay at this hotel again.
