The staff area very helpful and friendly. Very nice room, close to the beach.

The room feels wet and moist. Our suits/towels never dried even hanging over night. Too much moisture in the air and a mildew smell. Parking spots are very small! Otherwise it's a fine bed to sleep in...we didn't do much else in the room other than sleep. Hotel doesn't really have breakfast (coffee and 2 bite doughnuts available)

went on vacation with my girlfriend she thought it smelt bad and was dirty i thought it was just ok but yet again im a guy

Was in search of lodging for my 22 year old son and I for one night at VA Beach. I figured it would be marginal at best, and I was right. When we first arrived the couple in front of us was checking out and the desk clerk was very apologetic for whatever happened to them. Our room was available nearly two hours early, and we appreciated the opportunity to unpack, change and hit the beach. The room was ok, dated, and dark. The HVAC was loud and the shower curtain was moldy. It's good I had my own shampoo as there was none in the room.

Hotel owner was very accommodating let us check in a couple hours early and asked if the room was suitable for us. Location couldn't be better just a quick walk to the beach. A basic suite but it was just what we were looking for

The con was the hotel was an older building, but it had a great layout of the room and we got our money worth.

The hotel was very convenient to the beach just a walk across the street. Good value for the money. We were disappointed with the breakfast just some cereal and pastries in the office. Overall we were satisfied with our stay the hotel is close to shops and restaurants.

We stayed in this hotel in 2014 for the price it wasn't bad. This year we decided to stay again same time but it was 30 more per night. Thought maybe it had been updated continued with this hotel. When we arrived there was only one tv in the hotel room( last year we had 2) there wasn't a mirror in the bedroom( last year we did) there was mold growing on the wall. The cabinets still had food from the last people( or I hope it was the last) dried food spilled on floor. They did not come in one day to change towels or take out trash the second day they came just changed towels( no sweeping of sand or changing of trash) then a mgr walked in the room without knocking and said to tip the room service, she only replaced 4 towels. The dresser in the living room area was broke, sign said linen for pull out bed/couch is in closet( there is no closet). I call front desk to see if someone could bring some and she wanted me to walk down I have a young sleeping child and could not. Roomy for the price you pay, close to the beach, free coffee in the morning

The manager was fantastic. Arrived at noon and he let us use the bathroom, even though the room wasn't ready. The maid did her best, but someone had really smoked in our non-smoking room and the smell persisted through the night. It is an older hotel and we did like the layout.

The room was a full suite w a kitchenette which was convenient. The location was awesome - just one block from the beach. However the room itself was very damp and musty. It was clear they do not distinguish between smoking /non-smoking. Everything was dingy. I would wake up wheezing because of my asthma. I couldn't stay in the room long periods of time. If you have asthma do NOT stay here.

We were allowed to park before checking in, and the staff called to let us know when our room was ready around 1:30 pm. Only a 2-minute walk to the boardwalk. Decor and furniture need serious updating, but room was clean and had the basics. Wifi also worked fine. If you can't afford oceanfront, this is one of your next best bets - but you won't want to spend a lot of time in your room.

hotel itself was fine the staff was very rude both on the phone and in person not professional at all

This made our 3ed time staying here. The only thing I don't like about it is the wifi. Its hard to connect to and it kicked me off after 2 or 3 min. First two years I couldn't get connected to it at all. But you can pick up the wifi signal from best western about half a block away so it didn't bother me to much. Other then that it is a good deal for the price.

The room was ok needs a little updating but good other than mold on the shower curtain , Its only like a 1min. walk to the beach and that is awesome

One night stay; check in was quick with a friendly clerk. Checked out the room, which was a good size on the third floor, room seemed clean at first. Bathroom was recently renovated and nice, only allowed one towel and washcloth for the room unless you go get them yourself. After a short test of bed comfort, found I was cover in hair, looked like dark dog hair ( this is the reason I bring sheets with me). A/C wasn't that cold. But in a pinch I'd stay again.

Was over all impressed with the size of the room! Service was good, staff was nice, just wish it has a pool!

Here's what you need to know. As far as the room goes, it is actually quite nice. I would sleep there again and with the suite there's plenty of room which is nice. There is no mold, it's clean, it looks nice and in good condition. It was comfortable and the beds weren't too bad! It's a shame, because it really could be a 3 star hotel if not for a few reasons that make me bump it down to two that could be easily fixed if not for poor management choices. Here's why. #1 The Towels are extremely thin. You can't dry yourself off with these tiny paper thin towels. Why not just invest in some nicer towels? These were so cheap! #2 Breakfast is a lie. The "Continental Breakfast" consisted of a plate of wrapped honeybuns and sam's club pastries, coffee, and 1 jug of OJ at the checkout counter. No kitchen, no fruit, no muffins, no cereal, nowhere to even sit down. Unless you want to eat 4 honeybuns for breakfast, plan on having to get something else or bring your own. That's really a scam to call that a continental breakfast. #3 Parking. I spent $264 to stay there for the night and then I can't even park there for the day. They wanted to charge me another $10 to stay there past check-out. So factor in all-day parking cost into the price for staying here. I couldn't believe they charge you that much and then you can't even park there for the day. All factors management could easily change. Otherwise, it would have been 3 stars but instead it left a sour taste in my mouth. However, if you don't care about any of the above items, and the price is right, then this would be a good place to stay.

My family has been coming to VA Beach for 20+ years and we have never experienced what we did this past weekend. I will say that the manager allowed us to check in before the time we were supposed to which was appreciated. The room was average, nothing extraordinary but nice enough to lay your head down for the night. The extreme disadvantage to this hotel is the parking. There was very little to none. We left the hotel to attend a concert and when we came back, we circled the parking lot 3 times, before going into the night shift worker who met me at the door at 11:15pm asking if I needed a parking space, to which I replied yes, I was then told to park in the "overflow" lot at the pizza place across the street (there was no surveillance at that parking lot) I went to that parking lot and did not feel comfortable at all leaving my vehicle there overnight when there was a great deal of partying going on in that parking lot, further I hadn't paid to park at that lot, I paid to park in the hotel's parking lot adjacent to the hotel. Also, there was not parking space available in that lot.So, I went back to the hotel, advised the staff person that there was not space, and there was absolutely no accommodations made for me. There was a space in that lot blocked by trash cans that "couldn't be moved," there was metered street parking but "I would be the one to pay the meter" there was a parking deck that "I would have to pay to park in", After approaching the staff person to request a refund so that I could leave and go home, I was told I had to go through the 3rd party. So with that, I had to go to my room which had not been touched so much as to take a shower and watch TV and left to come home. We did not stay at this establishment and will not ever reserve a room there again. The very least that could have been done is that the metered parking could have been paid for by the hotel, it is not my problem that they haven't enough parking for their hotel.

It was an enjoyable experience. Great place to stay!

I was a little cautious in getting a hotel that was just under 60 dollars a night for one that has two rooms in it, but when I checked in I knew i had made the right choice. The location was perfect for what I needed and I don't think you could get a better bang for your buck in that area. Right on the strip, I was able to walk to and from any and all the bars I had hoped to try out. It was a good weekend and this hotel definitely had a part in the enjoyment.
