Staff overall not very helpful. They were friendly though. Hotel was very dirty. Needs paint and new beds, pillows and carpet. Noisy hallway but the loud air-condition covers some of it. View was only partial beach view through two other buildings. Pool and outdoor game items were dirty, I mean very dirty. Breakfast was not bad. Waffles, eggs, bagels, coffee, juices and other bread items. You must beat the crowd or you will wait to make that waffle!

This hotel is the most satisfying in our trip this time.

We were in Virginia Beach for a cheer competition the hotel was close to everything easy access to walk or drive

Police were present at check in. People doings drugs, lady yelled at a man that he was smoking crack as I checked in, smelled marijuana on the balcony below, damage to my mothers windshield, multiple drunk people walking around. Hotel is dated and in need of a much needed makeover. Dirty room. I'm not one to usually complain and would NEVER recommend this hotel to ANYONE.

The hotel was a great value. The only negative is the walls areally thin. You can hear right through them.

Overall, big spacious room. Not bad considering I only paid $40 for one night.

Nothing fancy, but did the job. Only issue I have is the jets flying over constantly from the nearby military base. Hotel is right under flight path and very loud. I'd still stay here but would have liked to know about them ahead of time. One block from beach has easy access to boardwalk.

A great place to stay for a few days. Friendly staff checked me in early so I can get some sleep and wonderful breakfast .

For the price we paid for the room it was not worth it. Hotel, room and ammenities were old and worn out. The bathroom toilet kept running and not filling, had to have them replace parts. The shower could not be controlled so had to have the valve replaced. Tile in Tub was all cracked and caulked to hold it together. Sink faucet was old and corroded. Room smelled like it had someone smoking in it but was considered a non-smoking room. Staff in front office was not friendly. We also didn't think the continental breakfast was up to par with other hotels we have stayed in. We stayed for 6 days and only had someone come in and clean once. We had to ask for clean towels, etc at the end of each day because they had not come in the room at all during the day. Very disappointing hotel for the price we paid per night.

My friends and I stayed in a two-queen room for our quick weekend beach vacation. We basically got what we paid for: the hotel isn't luxurious, and there are definitely a few updates that need to be made (e.g., our room door was hard to open and close, and some ventilation in the hallways near the elevators would be nice), but the rooms were spacious and clean, the free breakfast was good, and you can't beat how close we were to the beach (unless you stay oceanfront, but this was significantly cheaper than any oceanfront hotel!). We were also pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the beds were and by the microwave and refrigerator, which we didn't know we were getting.

It was really nice staying there. What I liked about it was that it was close to the beach. I also liked the fact that they serve breakfast so we didn't have to go out for breakfast.

The hotel itself was okay. The cleaning people were the nicest out of the staff. Not worth the price they charge per night in my opinion; you could probably stay at another hotel for about the same price that's nicer and on the beach.

The music from the club next door kept us up until 2:00am every night

i would go back to the same hotel or another one of the same chain of hotels.

Older hotel. Clean. Across the street from the beach . Good breakfast . Would stay again

Bare minimum requirements met. My first room was smokey and had a dirty wash cloth hanging on the shower. Second room was better. The rooms and over all appearance needs an upgrade.

The room was recently renovated with nice beds and carpeting. The tv picked up cable and digital channels which was a nice touch. The breakfast area was nice with good options. The bad: 1. no water sprinkler in the room 2. chairs on porch because people sit in them smoking and drinking alcohol 3. the support railings for stairs are rusty 4. the restaurant across the stairs plays loud music until 1am

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The room was nicer than I expected for the price I paid for it, as well. The 2nd floor pool was really nice and included a small waterfall! There was a hot tub that was operational, but given the 90 degree temp at 10am, I stuck with the pool. Only negative was parking is VERY limited, the stairwell was not well lit, and there seemed to only be one bank of elevators and they were at the end of the building, not in the middle.

I went to visit the beach area and it was the hotel in a prime location a block from the beach and near many restaurants, I enjoyed my visit and would like to come again.

This was the first time I had ever been to Virginia Beach. I could not be happier with the hotel stay. The room was clean, beds were so comfortable. Great breakfast, homemade waffles, bagels, fruits, a great variety of choices. And the staff was amazing, they were all so friendly, talked to me about my trip and where I was from, they recommended little local places for dining and shopping. There was this little boutique on the corner where I picked up the cutest gifts. There was a bench outside my hotel door so I could sit in the morning and enjoy my coffee while looking at the beach. Then within a 2 minute walk was the boardwalk. It was all lit up at night, took a stroll and the had a couple drinks right there at Taphouse grill while taking in the view. I highly recommend this hotel. I don't think it could have been in a better location or had a friendlier staff. I can honestly say I will not stay anywhere else when I return to Virginia Beach!!!!! Thanks so much!
