When checking in at 3 pm, the manager said the a/c was broken but it should be fixed by 7 pm. When we entered the room, the management had set up a pedestal fan to try to cool the room a little. The head of the fan was broken so that it pointed down to the floor & could not be set in a vertical position without someone actually standing nearby & physically holding the head upright. The mini fridge did not seem to be working - the inside was warm. The flat screen tv worked to a point - you had to fiddle around with the controls & when you tried to change channels, the tv would reset & you would have to fiddle around with the controls again. We called down to the front desk for their advise but they were not helpful. By 8 pm, the a/c was still not working. The room temperature felt the same as the temperature outside - in the mid 90s. When we asked the front desk when the a/c would be working, they said they did not know. To their credit, they said if we stayed & there were no a/c, they would give us a discount on the room or we could just check out & there would be no charge. After arranging a stay at a nearby hotel for a higher rate, we took the second option & checked out before even spending one night there.

Spacious. Easily sleeps 5 people. Has full kitchen but no pots, pans, silverware, etc. Half a block from the strip. 2 blocks from the beach. Friendly staff. Rooms are old. Old furniture, old smell. Beds are clean and comfortable. You are going to be out all day anyway. If I ever find myself in the area again, I would definitely stay there again.
this is a budget in, you get what you pay. But still over priced. The place is run down, dirty and unfriendly service. The owner will walk around to see to check on you. The sheet /towel are dirty looking , refrigerator doesn't work properly. Not a good place at all if you travel with kids!
I almost didnt book this room, because of all the reviews I read, but my friend said they were just someones opions and not take all the bad ones so serious...glad I listened..it was awesome, the AC rocked, it was so cold, the staff was nice and helpful, very friendly... you will have to bring your own kitchen things, we were 1/2 block from the beach, and it was just a nice stay, we will book there again next year...the price was really great too. they even let us check in 3 hours early...
Well the air conditioning didnt work, the manager of the hotel kept telling us it had to stay on a certain temperature which was on hot and at 85 degrees. it put out col air for like 5 min. and then it would stop. the only time it was cool was in the middle of the night. Was the worst motel ever.
It was 2 guys going to VA Beach for a soccer tournament, it was a perfect stay. The price was right, we were close to all of our friends who paid a lot more money. Probably not the most luxurious room, but it was clean and comfortable. If your expectations are realistic you will enjoy your stay. Big rooms and full kitchen is great, bring your own cups, dishes, etc.
This hotel was good for the price. Asside from not having a pool and poor ac system in the rooms I enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and the location was great. Rooms were clean and the fridge worked.

I went there to stay for the night I went out for my 21st birthday. The room seemed to be falling apart, in some ways quite literally. One of the VERY few lamps they had, was half coming off the wall, another's lightbulb was out so that left the room very dim. Another thing was, when we were looking for a lost earring, we moved the nightstand to find trash and other things that should of been cleaned and removed. I have traveled ALOT and I have to say this is probably one of the worst kept rooms I have ever stayed in.
a/c did not work.no cleaning or trash taken, just extra towels left on our unmade bed. we left 2 days earlier than we had planned, we knew we had a/c at home.
Took the kids on a mini getaway. Cannot beat of for the price. Full size refrigerators and also has a stove so we didn't have to eat out everyday. Two rooms great! I cam have some privacy and they could watch their tv. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
They gave us two towels for a family of six. The kitchenette did not have anything to use. The air conditioning was not working very well. It is an older hotel that needs some work and updating. It does not have any of the things we come to expect with a hotel (soap, towels for each person the room holds). This hotel would be great for college kids because it was cheap and still had a great location.
Our air was broke for the whole stay the coolest that the room got was 85. When the owner was told he proceeded to yell at my husband. The next day he told my husband that he had a maintaince man coming in to repair it. We had no relief that night either. I went and bought a fan to be able to get some relief. When my husband checked out the next morning the owner gave him 10 dollars back for the trouble. I paid 15 for the fan. We definitely would not recommend this place for anyone. The stove was broke, the light was hanging off of the wall. Very disappointed. The owners office was on the otherhand very cool.
upon arrival i thought i was going to have a pleasant stay the sales desk person was kind and the room was very clean upon arrival. However!! this quickly changed after turning on the air conditioner and leaving it on for several hrs only to find the room never got cold sweated the first night, 2nd night complained to find the ac is broken was given a fan to keep cool keep in mind only a tiny window in the bedroom which was the hottest room of all could be opened, fan didn't do much help, 3rd & final night was given another room to stay in which was much cooler but the next morning was rushed out when check out wasn't for another hr. upon arrival also found there was no pots and pans to cook in the kitchen not even a coffee pot all which i had to go to walmart to buy. later while attempting to cook only 1 burner on the 4 burner stove worked. then as night came tried to turn on lights which became a fun game of which light works and which doesn't in the dark! NOT FUN! also broken vent fan in the bathroom fun for a hot shower in the morning. every morning we woke up around 10 or 11am no fresh towels! would ask housekeeping for fresh towels she would say half hr, half hr passes no fresh towels we used dirty towels went to the beach came back 3 hrs later no fresh towels and no clean room. once again approached housekeeping to clean the room we had to practically beg for them to clean. are compensation for all that went wrong was an offer of $10 off next visit with them....SORRY NO UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I would not and will not stay there EVER AGAIN!!!!
The location was fantastic for the price. However the AC does not work in any of the rooms ( central AC). I actually had to go to the store and buy 2 fans to be able to make it through the night. Also, the rooms are outdated abd the place is not well maintained. I will not go back!!!!
The hotel was so close to the beach. It is a great deal for the price. I would book a week stay here. THey even let us check in 2 1/2 hours earlier.
Maid service consisted of them occasionally bringing new towels. No bed service, vacuuming or bathroom wiping included. They did not even take our trash out when we bagged it ourself and set it by the door. Had to go twice and ask for tp and trash bags. No outside faucet to rinse sand. No vacuuming of sand in the room all week. Kitchen is not stocked with utensils, etc. so need to bring your own. Shower/tub and its curtain were riddled with mildew. Kitchen was clean and well kept. Could see no evidence of beg bugs, bugs or rodents. Office pretty unwelcoming, door always locked with people in it. Maid service basically non-existent. By far the least clean place we've stayed. Overall the rooms were comfortably equipped, but just couldn't relax because lacked cleanliness. Always happy with a good deal, but would not stay here again.
