Had another great stay at this hotel. The staff are super friendly, the hotel is in a great location and the rooms are 👌. They go the extra mile to make your stay more enjoyable. Great bar and restaurant aswell.
Stayed on Friday night for the match next day, rooms were really good , two double beds in twin room, TV has sky sports, could be good idea to let guests know that, I know a few of my friends didn’t realise. Good shower over bath but could be tricky as to step in and out the bath was quite high Prices at bar were pretty reasonable for a hotel , bar was pretty busy on Friday, bar man could have done with some help. Breakfast in morning was really good, asked for a couple of poached eggs and they were cooked perfectly, really enjoyable. Danielle on check out was very good helping out a trainee and showing how to deal with our two rooms City bars and restaurants are 5 - 10mins away , really good weekend
We visited this hotel as we were going to a football match at Carrow Road as an away supporter. We were lucky to have a room with a view over the pitch. (Odd number rooms have pitch views) we didn’t ask for this. The hotel was good value for money especially as it was Good Friday. It included bred and breakfast in a family room. We are in the hotel in the evening, our under 12 child ate free. The menu wasn’t huge and some items were not available even though our table was at 8pm, this was disappointing. Additionally the good value set menu had an awful lot of items with mushrooms so we could not choose from this as some of us have an allergy to mushrooms. Overall we would definitely stay here again.
We booked a family room which was more than big enough with 2 double beds. Room was clean and warm. The view from the window was of Norwich City FCs pitch and stands which has to be one of the most unique hotel room views. We chose to eat in the restaurant or to be more accurate in the lounge bar. Food & drink was great, staff were attentive and friendly. We also had a fine breakfast from the substantial buffet. Very good it was too. My son said he eat like a king! Definitely recommend the hotel and will use it again.
I am really impressed with this holiday inn. I came in with no expectations however they were very quick and efficient at reception. The room/bathroom is spacious and clean with all the amenities required. I was on the 6th floor executives suite and it overlooked onto the Norwich football pitch. Would have been annoying if there was a match as I like peace and quiet but I was lucky! There was plenty of parking for £5.95 per day too. I had breakfast and dinner and they were tasty too. The staff were polite in the restaurant areas also. If I was back in the area I would have no problem returning to this hotel 4/5
Weekend with the girlies. Stopped off in the bar for food and booze on the Friday- all good. Comfy rooms- I think EVERY one has two double beds. All looks quite new and very modern. There were problems though with parking- there is a special section in the fottball ground car park for hotel guests only. Reception forgot to take one of our registrations and so a ticket was put on (£100 fine). The hotel then have no right to cancel it but advise you take photos of where you are parked and then write in blah blah etc. Not really the best way to treat your guests. Why not just have a barrier or better way of doing it? Its about a 15 minute walk into town centre so location good.
The location given for the hotel is VERY misleading. It is 200 metres , probably less, from Norwich City, but the Football Club NOT Norwich City Centre. That is 15/20 minutes walk away. Despite that, it was a pleasant enough stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful, The restaurant was ok and the breakfast good except like many hotels that have a breakfast buffet, the bacon was like cardboard through being left under the heat for far too long.
Only 4 stars as shouldn't have to pay for parking. No Sky Sport available and in room via TV says that you have to pay £4:95 for internet. Asked at reception and was told problems with Sky and that there is no charge for internet and we were then given the password. This should have been told to us when we checked in. Have stayed here several times but on this occasion were given a family room facing the front and not the football ground and room seemed smaller. Breakfast has improved and thank you to chef for pancakes presented on dish with Happy Mothers Day written in chocolate. Nice touch. Comfy pillows and beds:]
This hotel is not sited in a pretty environment as it overlooks the football ground, with some rooms overlooking the pitch. The other side looks onto some victorian terraces and commercial estates. Be careful to park in the right section of the car park. The property itself is on brand - clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast is buffet style - and offers a really good mix. I've stayed a few times, and front desk staff are always great. Bar and breakfast staff not so consistent. It's 15 minutes walk to the historic and shopping attractions of Norwich. Reception will get you a taxi if you don't want the walk along the A road past the shopping and car parks.
The hotel is lovely and clean and welcoming. The only downside we found was getting the temperature right in the bathroom. Breakfast was lovely with no complaints again nothing seemed a problem and staff willing to help.
