My husband and I booked a short break with our 16 month old daughter. It's always a worry with a baby if I can feed her, whether she'll sleep, etc. I rang in advance to double check there'd be a cot and if I could refrigerate food for the baby. Staff were very reassuring and although they couldn't refrigerate anything assured me they could provide what i needed. They were as good as their word providing me with a bowl of heated beans shortly after we arrived. The chap on reception even remembered my call when we arrived. We rill definitely be back. Highly recommended
Visited for weekend and everything above and beyond. Great reception, nothing too much bother..and even a complimentary club biscuit from the very alert and friendly Sue!! She recognised the accent and praised the match result of yesterday! Excellent service and attention to detail and just love the 'Greenfingers' charity link. Be back soon . Thanks
Lovely hotel. Had a room over looking the football ground. Only complaint is breakfast is expensive; £15 per person over 12 years. Put that to one side, it's a superb hotel. Beds are comfortable and free WIFI.
This hotel is in a great location. It is a 15 minute walk to,the centre of Norwich. It has a retail park and lots of bars and restaurants in Riverside just across the road. For soccer fans the rooms at the back of the hotel overlook Carrow Rd football grounds. The Norwich City FC store is around the corner as are Delia Smiths two restaurants. It's a family friendly hotel with lovely staff. The food in the hotel is lovely. Breakfast is a buffet. It's much better value to book this when booking the room. We had dinner in the bar and again the food was really good. We had a family room which had two Double beds. Nice and spacious. Bathroom and room were very clean. There is parking at £5.95 per night. There is WiFi in the rooms. As an IHG member you can connect one device for free. You can connect other devices free through social media accounts or alternatively you can pay a fee for same. If you book when there is a match on traffic can be terrible on those days, as you'd expect. It's in a residential area.
I stayed here for two nights in August whilst at a conference in the city and loved every moment the hotel is in the perfect location for both the city and trips to nearby beaches, is very clean, inviting, stylish and the staff are all very pleasant and helpful and seem to be genuinely happy to work there which is good to see. I also loved the unusual view of the football pitch from my room, well done Holiday Inn Norwich City!
I took a group of 35 for a week of visits in Norfolk in June 2017. The group were mature and they enjoyed the hotel. The breakfasts and evening meals were good. There was a good local pub for those who wanted a chat in the evening. Visiting Norwich was easy both walking or on the regular bus service. Our coach driver could find a parking place each evening and our visits to places in both the eadt and wst Norfolk were easy with no major traffic jams. We did visit outside the football season, it ,is probably different when Norwich City are at home as the hotel is on the corner of the Carrow Road ground.
Our stay in Carrow Roads Holiday Inn was superb. The staff were so helpful the breakfasts were fresh and tasty especially the herb sausages and the location just fine for a bunch of Aussie Veteran Cricketers. Well done to the entire team at Holiday Inn Norwich and thanks from Simon and our crew
Spent a very comfortable night in Holiday Inn Carrow Road Norwich last Saturday night Thanks Heather for a great welcome at check in😆 You and your colleagues made every possible effort to ensure our stay was memorable😇 Jessie and Rosa from Lithuania were caring n courteous in the bar and at breakfast Looking forward to my next visit and meeting Heather in Dublin later in the year
Standard Holiday Inn with warm welcoming staff and good, clean accommodation. Our room, 209, looked out across the football ground. But for one small area of the pitch we could have enjoyed a first class view! On match days I presume these rooms come at a premium (?). It is a good 15 minute walk to the City Centre from the hotel and so I would recommend a taxi for people with mobility issues. I would only highlight one complaint which is that all of the cutlery and teapots in the dining room are coated in a film from the dish washer. I know they are clean but it is an off putting look and something they need to deal with. Car parking is adequate but try and grab one of the 5 bays at the front of the hotel as they are free. Other parking is £5.95 per day. Don't know how easy it would be arriving on a match day.....best avoided if possible.
I stayed in this hotel for a single night. Our room had a perfect view of the Norwich FC pitch. Rooms were very clean. However, the wall was wearing away a bit. For any supporters of Norwich FC I would recommend this hotel even if you don't get a view of the pitch because of the close proximity. Will definitely stay here again.
