Had a 2 night stay here, room rather small considering we had 2 dogs. Appeared to be over the kitchen! Strong smell of cooking and noise from extractor fan. The hotel is a work in progress, some areas are better than others. Staff polite and helpful. Ate once in the restaurant steak and chips, average meal but not keen on oven chips. Overall not bad but would wait to see if things improve before booking again.

The room was a little small, needed a good paint on skirting boards, depends how fussy you are, didn't bother me as we only slept in our room was out most of the time untill late in the evening. Hotel is being done up. Staff very friendly, breakfast was good, good choice of cereals and juices, fried breakfast. Comfy bed.beach 2 minutes walk.Would definatley stay again.

Booked this hotel as we needed a room for three of us, the room was very good size with two big beds . The rest of the hotel was comical, no parking, awful breakfast and the refurb is being done by Stevie wonder! The shower was broken and bodged up by a piece of electrical wire, no furniture matched, painting was slapdash, shame as the actual building from the outside looked good.

we booked this hotel for our anniversary and was very pleased we did. we had room 307 which is apparently the honey moon sweet, with a lovely super king size bed and a leather settee and a big tv screen, we also had two fans in the room which came in very handy. the best bit about the room is that the bathroom had a very deep bath and a nice walk in shower. Yes we had read the reviews on this hotel and yes its work in progress there is a lot of work to be done, but being a big hotel its going to take time. This hotel is not a 5 star hotel so don't expect perfection. yes all the window sills need replacing but be honest who looks at all the nitty gritty of things. The room was clean comfortable and very relaxing. The staff are 5 star very polite and are always at hand to help. The food what can I say.... Wow what lovely food and what a portion size, we had the lamb shank and mixed grill my husband struggled to eat the mixed grill, it was huge and both meals were cooked to perfection, and served with in minutes and very hot, compliments to the chief many thanks. so all in all we would defiantly recommend this hotel, and we will defiantly be back. Just to let you know there are no lifts to upper floors.

We chose this hotel for a one night stay mainly because of the location. We had tickets for Sealife which would be one of the main places visited. I also wanted parking included as this can be expensive in Yarmouth if staying all day. Booking online was straightforward. When we arrived there wasn't anywhere to park. The free parking is mainly in the streets in front of the hotel and there were no spaces available. To be fair this was Sunday lunchtime in August and Yarmouth was packed with day trippers as well as guests at the hotels and caravan parks. I pulled up on the hotel frontage blocking a side entrance and my wife went inside. Thankfully another guest was able to come out and move his car slightly which allowed me to get onto the frontage of the hotel. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful. We did see spaces become available, then get taken, later. I was able to move our car to a free space the next morning when checking out and there's unrestricted parking. There wasn't a room ready when we arrived but we were able to leave our luggage, to save it sitting in the car (which it did after check out anyway). We went off for a look round before checking in later. Check in, after 3, went smoothly and the guy on reception was freindly and helpful. The hotel is clearly under refurbishment, having been bought by a new ownership company. The main public rooms including the bar and reception area were nice. Our room was OK, though the decor was a bit dated and tired. We could have done with more electric sockets (only two for TV, kettle and phone chargers etc.). Bathroom was fine with everything working and plenty of hot water. I slept well on the bed. We didn't eat at the hotel although the menu looked good, including for vegetarians. Prices seemed very reasonable and we were given a discount voucher. I would have no hesitation eating there but we opted to try a Thai place nearby instead. Breakfast seemed a bit expensive but would be convenient, especially for business travelers. There are of course plenty of cafes and restaraunts nearby. We've stayed at several Choice/Comfort Inns/Hotels mainly in the US where they enjoy a good reputation. Overall this place was certainly worthy of being in that brand and it looks set to grow and improve. We hope to go back.

I'm going to be honest about this hotel, it is a work in progress. The work around, as pointed out by the signs, is ongoing, not so much that ladders are everywhere and places are shut off, but things are getting a makeover. With the size of the hotel it'll take time but it's already clear to see that it's looking better. The staff are very professional and friendly, the breakfast (albeit a buffet) was good and the rooms were spacious. Yes they're out dated but provide what you need for a short stay. Plus who lives in their hotel room whilst on holiday!?!? I was very happy to stay here and would again, my holiday was filled with that many amazing memories that it didn't really matter how the hotel looked. One thing I can say is that the hotel had character, it wasn't trying to be something it's not, and it offered good value for the price. No doubt next time will be a better score from me. Will return.

I have been to the comfort hotel for 3 nights. The rooms were fine and clean but the evening meals we had were shocking. The ordering simple but length of time to deliver to the table was ages. When it did arrive it was undercooked and warm. The girl said that there was a new chef to the job but that doesn't mean that the food should be warm.We ate fast just to get out and up to our rooms.I'm sorry to say we won't be going back.

I was invited to a 25th anniversary party on Saturday the 29th of June which was organised back in March! and it was absolutely appalling, first of ordered my food at 6 and didn't received it til 20 past 8 and this is after they repeatedly got the names wrong and got the food wrong! It shouldn't have been so hard as every one ordered steak! Knowing they had so many people coming you would have thought they would have been prepared! Apparently not as they repeatedly got the food wrong then ran out of chips some received wedges others received fries! Some received mushrooms and some didn't! Anyhow after all this it kind of killed the mood for the party so we asked the dj to turn the music up went to the bar which was absolutely sweltering that even the staff behind the bar had sweat dripping from their heads as the night went on i went to the bar and order a Malibu and lemonade disarano and coke and also a gin and pink lemonade, but no gin in the lemonade so when i asked the bar man to add some he repeatedly tried to convince me that he put some in i even asked him to have a sip to prove it was just lemonade, but he began to raise his voice and get quite arsey with me so to not ruin my night i just ordered another one and as it was quite busy i thought fair enough, but as i was speaking to more people at the party they said this happened to them too. By the end of the night everyone was leaving we were clearing room and moving the presents into the car the reception women decided to come out and shout to get away from the door! This place was absolutely appalling and I will not be recommended this place! Poor Food Poor Organising skills and Shocking staff.

We had family and friends round here for a meal on the 29th of July. Never again can only say glad it was not a wedding they could not manage to get most of the orders right .simple steak .taken orders for food in the bar and don't know where any one is sitting.and after terrible service had the nerve to blame us ..for not alerting them that a few more turned up. Said we didn't expect anyone to order of the menu...the place is a JOKE....dont believe they even have a chief mostly stake and got it wrong ran out of potatoes...and I'm local big mistake.. receptionist seemed to be the only one that new what they where doing and the very young girl behind the bar..

The location of the hotel is spot on, its right in the centre of everything and so very handy. The hotel interior and bedroom was very outdated and very old fashioned. It wasn't the cleanest hotel I've stayed in and the beds were very hard. The walls were paper thin and so got kept awake most of the night by neighbouring rooms! The bedroom smelt of hamsters!! The bathroom had a funny smell and a wooden toilet seat that looked like it had seen better days! The bath panel was hanging off with a screw sticking out which could have easily caught someone! On a brighter note staff were polite and helpful and the breakfast was nice. Wifi was slow which if you have children you'll understand how important decent wifi is for your peace! Would I go back? Probably not I'd rather a premier inn, even if it was slightly further away.
