It was a nice one night stay, pleasant service, nice and clean room and a lovely breakfast. Also the street where the hotel was located was very quit so there was apsolutt no noice of any kind. Must give honors to the staff who were very accommondating.
A nice room. Ok breakfast. But the dinner in the evening was bad. Do eat the hamburger. But stay away from the carbonara and the fish soup. Nasty both. Too bad for a hotel with a very good potential. Must be fixed...
Good location, close to city centre, railway and airport. Nice facilities at hotel. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices both hot and cold food. Room was large (superior double) with spacious bathroom and wooden floor.
We had our seminar at work her, 107 people, 2 days of pure joy! The facilities were good, the equipment works, the conference staff is very helpful and always present, and they know what they are doing!!! The meals are very good and varies, hot, cold, healty etc. They mark the food so people with allergies easily can find what they can eat. We had the conferance dinner here as well, and the food and the serving was good. The kitchen and staff are brilliant!! The hotel has been totally renewed and everything is modern and nice. The rooms are good, the beds are soft. The hotel is situated in the small city centre of Stjødal and near the main airport to the city Trondheim. Some rooms may experience a bit of traffic noise when having the windows open, but not much. The hotek have some parking space. It is easy to fly in participants from all over to meet in the middle og Norway. Also a very nice place to stay when just on holiday.
The stay in the Quality Airport Hotel Vaernes was for us normal way for Norway, it is close to the racetrack in Hell and also close to the airport and shops in Vaernes. Next year we will be back to this place !
Spacious rooms, nice but somewhat dated. Plenty of restaurants and stores close by, and only 5 minutes away from the airport - about 25-30 minutes away from Trondheim by car. Ask for a room located on the side of hotel not facing the main road in Stjordal, lots of nightclubs and drunk people.
My daughter and I spent two nights there in April 2017. Quick check-in, friendly (though not perhaps very warm - it is Norway after all) and professional staff. The room was located on the top floor, and it had a few "upgrades" compared to the ones below (we had friends staying on the third floor. They did not have a coffee maker etc.). Very clean, but small room. The bed was a little too soft for me, but nice pillows. Nice breakfast. Loved the fresh smoothies! Good bar, and Robin made a nice cocktail for us. Some noise from the street during the night, as it was the kick-off weekend for the high school senior`s celebration, but not a huge problem though. OK Wifi, but I had to reconnect a lot. Very limited menu in the restaurant, but there are several options in walking distance. Shopping mall a couple of minutes walk away, too. Free parking a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Would stay here again.
After many years of traveling to this area, this hotel always has been a warm place. It offers a fair price for a central stay close to airport and city centre. In the bar you get a variety of local beers, regular brands and wine. The restaurant have a great kitchen and good service is provided. Breakfast gives you what you need, and coffee served by table. Please try chefs omelette made direct to you. Hotelroom are OK. Good beds, windows that you can open and nice bedlinen. Hotel offers you what you need, but the staff really gives you much more. They take really good care of you.
Rooms are nice and clean, stuff helpful, no shuttle bus to airport. Plenty restaurants to choose from in walking distance. Excellent choice if you like to save money, by staying in Radisson or Scandic airport hotels you will pay more and for diner you will end up spending twice the money, because no restaurants are near by.
The hotel is located centrally in Stjørdal relatively close to Trondheim airport Værnes. The is very clean and the staff are helpful. As expected my room was quite small and furnished only with the essentials. I did not try the wifi. There is also a bar in the lobby which I did not visit. I do not know if they serve any meals except breakfast which was very good with a good selection. There are restaurants and two pubs in walking distance from the hotel. The hotel has an on-line information screen at the entrance which shows arrival/departures of the local buses. Quite useful if you rely on public transport. The railway station with connections to Trondheim is also in walking distance.
