Mercure Hotel Nijmegen Centre

Nice central location, about 7 minutes walk to city centre. I was however a bit disappointed about Nijmegen, nothing special as city. Hotel correct. This is a mercure which looks like a mercure, very clean, very friendly staff, good breakfast. Parking next to the hotel. Very good

The only thing holding me back from giving this a fifth star is the unusual shape of the building, which is like two half circles askew, so the rooms are shaped like a piece of pie. Typical American travelers will probably find the bathrooms small and not much space for luggage. But the staff are top notch and the breakfast is super.

A very clean hotel in a very good location with excellent staff. Special thanks to the GM, Mr Francis Kam who volunteered to deal personally with a problem that occured with our reservation and solved it in no time. Rich breakfast with lots of choices - even freshly squized orange juice. Small details such as the complimentary coffee from the Nespresso coffee machine at the lobby and the fresh water with slices of water mellon in it, are things that make the difference between this hotel and the other Mercure properties that we have visited in the past.

Easy access to town and railway station. Ideally placed for visiting university. Lots of good eating places and a good range of shops. Hire bikes to get around, it's what the locals do ! Make sure you walk along the water front.

Exceeded expectations. Great service and fantastic breakfast with lots of choice. Right next to train station, but minimal noise and not during the night. Short walking distance to the centre, but with bars and restaurants along the way. Rooms were a good standard and quality. Great value for money, would definitely recommend for a short city break.

I am a regular guest at the hotel which is conveniently located adjacent to the Central Station. (Despite this, little or no noise from trains is heard).About 1km walk from town centre. Taxis next to hotel. Rooms are a little small, especially the single rooms which are best avoided. Rooms have recently undergone renovation and refits. The bathrooms seem to have done away with the actual baths in favour of just showers. Due to thoughtless planning of the revised bathrooms however, water now cascades onto the floor from the shower. Be careful not to slip! Foam pillows are favoured by the hotel. Not me! I prefer feathers! Nice buffet breakfast, but at E.18 is a bit ambitious! Short restaurant menu. Helpful and cheerful staff. Clean and bright public areas. Fast wifi. Price deals always happening in quieter periods.

A nice hotel in a good location. Next door to the train and bus station and a rather large bike rack! The hotel is in a modern part of town and within easy walking distance of lots of restaurants. The hotel rooms were fine; clean and functional. We eat breakfast there twice and it was good; self service with plenty of choice, with all the usual breads, meats and cheeses. A hot breakfast was also available. Finding the hotel was a challenge. I strongly suggest you approach the hotel down the Arend Noorduijnstraat (see an on-line map) from the N326. Just before the hotel cross the bike lane (very carefully!) and the bus lane and park on the hotel property. They will tell you how to get into their car park. Trust me, if you approach the hotel via the bus station you will annoy a lot of people!!

We originally booked into another hotel but were disappointed and left. We found the Mercure on the www and were very pleased we did. Other than being a mere 10 mins walk to the center the staff were very welcoming, very friendly and efficient and the rooms (3 double) were excellent. 2 of us took the upgrade for 35 euros and received larger rooms and free mini bar and 'proper' coffee facilities. Food was great and free coffee downstairs too. If you are planning a stay in Nijmegen then this is the place to stay. Nothing negative at all. Highly recommend the staff and the hotel.

I think title tells the whole thing... Hotel is right next to the station and rooms are soundproofed. By walk within 6 - 7 minutes walk from the wonderful city centre of Nijmegen, oldest city of the Netherlands. Rooms are just renovated, very modern yet cozy, spotless cleanliness, breakfast has everything you need. 18 kinds of beer and good choice of wines... But above all, staff gives you home away home feeling and that's all about it. Don't think, just go and experience it. Thank you team Nijmegen Mercure, we loved it!

Clean and quiet rooms with double beds. No rooms for 4 people you have to reserve two rooms if you have four people. Breakfast is pretty good. Don't worry about the train station being so close the trains are very quiet and I could never hear one of them. Bike rental is only six dollars per day
