Very central location and clean hotel with professional staff. However, it is not good value for money especially as the rooms are very dated and shabby. The gym and pool were essential to our booking and both sadly not up to standard. The gym had very little equipment and was in a room by the pool. The pool was shabby and small and the sauna hardly held 2 people at a time. It is necessary to go through the reception area to the pool which is far from ideal. Didn't try the breakfast. Better off booking a hotel on the Avenue des Anglais even if it cost a little more.
Interesting hotel as it is undergoing renovations. The 5th floor is complete and all new - ask for it! The 4th floor is half complete but the paint smells are strong. #rd floor down has not been renovated yet. As for the new rooms, the bathrooms are spacious and very sleek. The beds are comfy and the room was spacious. The most updated item was a plug just for USB cords - so no adaptors needed. The location is great for closeness to town and getting to the beach. The staff was very friendly. The included breakfast was average.
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast options. It would have been nice if the coffee in the lobby was open all day, not just at lunch. No complaints on anything else. Nice clean rooms.
Excellent location for exploring Nice. Hotel being refurbished during our visit but there was no inconvenience for guests. Staff very welcoming and helpful. I would certainly stay in this hotel again.
This was a good hotel in an excellent location. Not particularly luxurious but perfectly adequate and an excellent base to see the town and the locality. The staff were extremely helpful, decent buffet breakfast.
Very nice hotel and close to everything. The bedroom was spotless. The pool is lovely and warm and open till 10pm. We didnt eat breakfast in the hotel. All the reception staff were full of smiles everytime we went in and out. I would certainly stay here if i get to go to Nice again.
stayed for 4 nights cote d'azur break to visit cannes and monaco and chose this hotel as we had a brilliant stay there back in August 2012. Hotel is now even better and we were very lucky to be upgraded from a superior room to two adjoining executive rooms on the top floor which had recently been completely refurnished.. rooms 620 and 622 were fantastic with lovely sized balconies and extra super sized beds.Breakfast was brilliant with plenty of choice.. Great location only 5 minutes to old town and superb base for us to travel around the cote d'azur.. love Nice and all this area and will hopefully return to this hotel again soon.
This is a clean medium sized hotel with friendly staff in a great central location - just behind the main shopping street, and 10 minutes walk from the old town, beach and railway station. The hotel is currently being renovated from the top down, so our room was not in great condition and there was drilling noise above us some days from 8am. Air conditioning was not working but it was too noisy at night to open the window. We went up in the lift and saw some of the renovated rooms and they look very nice, so in a few months I'm sure this will be a nice place to stay. This is one of the few hotels in Nice with a pool. The pool is maybe 10? metres long so just enough to swim across. There is also a jacuzzi and a sauna, towels are provided for free by reception. Pool is supposed to be open at 8.30am but on our last day we waited and waited and gave up at 9am as it was still being cleaned - very frustrating. Free wi-fi in room connected fairly well most of the time. Breakfast was good each day and the hotel arranges good value transport to/from the airport.
Few days at French Riviera, visiting Nice, Cannes and Monaco by train. Stay in Hotel Nice Riviera for 3 nights. Excelente location, close to city centre and restaurants. Will can walk a few blocks to the train station, Gare de Nice.
This is a lovely hotel. Excellent position in Nice. Clean and well presented areas. The bedrooms could be updated a little but they are comfortable and have everything you need. The staff are lovely, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They all seem to have a smile for you and will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and easy. You are well positioned for the tram that runs through Nice and to be able to walk to the old town in about ten minutes. We never used the spa and swimming pool but lots of people did regularly. Breakfast was continental only but there was more than enough for different tastes and they kept it well stocked up during the breakfast period which ran to eleven, so no rushing at all. I would recommend this hotel.
