Called the day before made reservations. Room was clean quiet and very inexpensive 65$ +tx. Staff was very helpful as we arrived late and they gave us info on available restaurants! Would gladly stay again.
We took a trip from Northern Michigan to DC to Knoxville to Nashville to Indy then home and this was our first motel of the trip. We were very pleased with this motel. It was right next to the off ramp of the Toll road 80 and next to the on ramp to get back on. I'm partial to motels as you can pull right up to the door which makes it nice for unloading and loading, and this motel had nice big parking spots. We checked in late so the clerk was behind glass with the little pass through slot which is always interesting but once we got to the room it was very nice, very spacious, clean, comfortable beds, and we didn't hear any noises all night. They don't have much for breakfast, which we passed on, but for the money compared to everything around, this is definitely a good value. This is our third time staying around this area and we will definitely stay here again next time through.
sought out this place b/c was traveling with my little dog- (was only 1and half hrs from home) but didn't want to drive @ night-- needless to say, glad I brought my own bedsheets, and the pup was NOT allowed to sleep on the carpet- slept w/me , like always:)) Felt I paid way too much, about 79 bucks /night-- even with a pet- but was close to a really good local family restaurant, w/ good Chicken Wings, (Westfall's) The hotel was a place to sleep, and that's about it. Bathroom was decently clean, but the floors and the carpet gave me the heebie-jeebies.... YIKES!!
A group of friends stayed. We rented 4 rooms. We arrived around 5pm. We hung out in our rooms for about an hour or so. Then we drove to an opening of a friends bar. The Yellow Dog Saloon! Try it if your in the area. We arrived back around midnight. Everything was quiet, and we all rested well.
I checked in with the receptionist at 3am on a Saturday morning and told them I was staying till Monday. So I leave my from for a little while and when I got back they told me that It was past time for me to check out. So now I have no room and no where to go. I would not recommend staying here. You pay for your room and as soon as you leave they take it back saying they know nothing about what I checked in for. Unprofessional staff!!!!!
After 12 hrs of driving and late at night we decided to stop here for a room. Not clean and very dated. The carpet was filthy dirty and the bedding smelled unclean. I think our room total was $93 which is way too much to pay for this room but like I said we were desperate. I am sorry to say that I would not recommend.
Traveling for work, spent 5 nights ...the rooms are dated, but clean, & all the staff friendly ..after 3 nights of fighting with the wi-fi & having little to no internet access, I asked to be moved to another room ...they accommodated my request & the wi-fi worked perfectly from the new room...I would stay again if in the area...only downfall to the area, is there are no restaurants within several miles..
As I was heading down the turnpike at 3 am i decided to pull into a motel for a few hours of sleep. I chose wrong. Though only getting 6 hours till checkout, I assumed I wouldn't be paying full price. I was wrong again. I also assumed that there would be clean sheets/blankets. Again, wrong. And finally, besides the door not being the least bit soundproof (not sure how but it seemed to amplify the highway), the walls seem to be made from balsa wood and paper, since I could hear; not one side but both occupants on either side of me, sleeping. One I can only assume was on a ventilator of some sort (possibly Darth Vader). The breakfast lacked coffee, but thankfully there was a pot in the room (the only redeeming quality of this establishment). Last to check in, first to check out, or I assume I did by leaving my key in the dropbox since the attendant was nowhere to be found after checkin.
While going to Washington DC, we stopped and slept one night. Not bad, well enough to sleep and take a bath. The host helped me to find some food in the night. In the morning i ate nice cakes and drank some coffee and continued to my way. Nothing to say more.
I stayed here on April 23, 2015. After a long drive I decided to stop at the next exit. There was a sign for an Econo Lodge so I thought this would be a good place to stay since I just wanted 5-6 hours of sleep and get back on the road. As I pulled up I thought to myself maybe this was a mistake but stopped anyway. The office is small. The night worker is behind glass and never comes out(this should have been a warning) Cost me $60 dollars but I thought what the heck. Got to my room and it smelled musty and old. Didn't appear too bad but it just got worse. I turned the heat on and waited 10 minutes and had none. I called the desk and they came and tried to get it to work. Did not get it to work so his answer was to bring in an electric space heater!! Well, ok I thought and said fine. Went into bathroom and there are filthy dirty wash cloths in the sink! Looked into the shower and it was chipped and dirty. After all that I didn't feel safe to sleep under the covers do I took the bed spread from the extra bed and slept on top of all the covers. When I pulled the spread off there were 5-6 burn holes in it! I did manage to fall asleep but I didn't consider using the shower or bathroom and got out of this hell hole and went and used facilities at next rest stop. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!
