Dirty! Minimum hot water! Loud guest! Dingy/dirty towels! Refrigerator dirty

This is a hotel that allows pets and weekly rentals. The indoor pool was nice for the daughter. The free breakfast was great for the 3 of us. The shower was hot with pressure. The bed was comfortable. I've stayed at other Jameson hotels, but this one needs some TLC and may not be the best place to take a family.

I didn't have very high expectations to the price I was paying. But they sure proved me wrong. I would recommend to anyone whom wants to get the most from their money at such a low cost.

Seldom do I stay in low budget hotels. Jameson Inn was a good value and convenient. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable and spacious. Wish the pillows were larger. You can control the temperature in the room, but it can get too cold or hot if left on too long. A large refrigerator and microwave.

Dirty sheets and curtains . They need to wash more. Staff was nice and like the breakfast in the morning .

We first got there the room view was horrible facing the roof, I did not come to see a roof all weekend, asked for another room it had the same view of the other side of the roof, the bedsheets were wrinkled and seem not changed there was spots in them so they were not clean, the beds were sqeeky and the door was broken so we felt unsafe the front desk person claimed locksmith was gonna come next day they should of called an emergency to fix it didn't sleep that night at all and people above were stomping the entire night we called to complain, and it still did not stop! So glad we left the next day. The Manager was very nice thou she try to accommodate us,as best she could, she came personally to change the sheets and apologized she also called us after checkout to offer another stay at no charge but we declined just want our refund for the second night!

Hotel had a great location, rooms were clean, smelled clean! Close to everything... Hidden jewel...

Just needed a dog friendly place to rest our heads at night. It certainly fit the bill. Nothing special about the hotel but it was clean and cheap, so I can't complain. The staff was great and the location was off a small street but safe and near lots of things.

Great for the price. Great location. Free wi-fi was a huge plus.

The room was nice and clean. There was breakfast in the morning. Overall it was a good time.

Very nice The Jameson is always my preferred spot in Newport News!!! Love it pool breakfast is tasty and the staff is cool.

We went to the Outer Banks on vacation and flew into Newport News. The Jameson Inn was close, comfortable and economical.

We just needed one night at the hotel, were in town for event - stayed with our 2 little kids. Location was easy to find, and near other hotels -- seemed safe area. Hotel and room were average - nothing fancy, but clean and what we expected. Pool seemed a little "murky". Staff friendly. Good free breakfast.

This hotel was priced very reasonable. First entering my room it had a bad odor but later went away. The sofa was dirty with stains and the chair had a black stain. I slept on top of the bedspread the whole time i was there! The breakfast was good

While the staff was friendly and the room was clean, it was very much like the old school Motel 6--But with a HORRIBLE bed! It was a good thing that we just needed a clean, convenient place to lay our heads because the comfort was completely absent.

Was in the area for a niece's college graduation. Great location easy on and off to major highways. Big rooms, big breakfast room, very comfortable king size bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby. Would certainly stay there again!

Hotel was clean, the staff was efficient and nice. Only thing I didn't like were the pillows were very uncomfortable and there was empty toilet paper roll in the bathroom. Wasn't stocked well. Also, the walls are VERY thin, hollow hotel. Can hear EVERYTHING. Conversations, people in the room over, and even people walking upstairs. In emergencies it's a good stop for the price, however if you want a good nights sleep, try somewhere else. TV was nice room was nice and clean, breakfast was sub par but that was expected. 3 stars.

Your Staff was very professional and a great personality and most of all friendly, willing to help you out. We arrived early and was able to check in. That was great, my Mother need to rest. Food was also great. In that area again, we will be there. A great place to stay for a family reunion.

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was quite nice and the staff were so friendly and accommodating.

The first room they checked me into had a terrible smell when I walked into the room - like old, dirty gym socks. There was hair in the toilet, and there were no body towels, although there were wash cloths and hand towels. No maps of the immediate area. They eventually did change my room - to the third one the manager looked at. However, the real problem was the next morning, when I attempted to get breakfast. One male was talking very loudly to two other people. With my plate, I started to head to my room, to enjoy breakfast in peace and quiet. I walked to the Front Desk first, intended to suggest that they ask the person in the breakfast room to lower their voice. Instead of allowing me to do so, the person at the Front Desk immediately informed me the food could not leave the breakfast room. I told her it was too loud in there - from the one person. She said she could ask that they quiet down, but instead of doing so, she stayed focused on me, that I could not take the breakfast to my room. I attempted to meet her halfway, by sitting in the lobby. However, the noise from the one person was still excessive there. I told her I simply could not stay there and enjoy the breakfast, and I started toward my room. The employee decided to follow me, and threatened to call the police on me. Because I was trying to protect my ears from being assaulted by the loudness in the breakfast area. Would not stay here, nor at any of the brand hotels, again.
